B-Spec for the sake of having B-Spec is a very hollow addition to the game.
Most who want B-Spec want it because it, in theory, opens up an "Endurance Mode".
If the game stays as it is, this doesn't "change" the game at all.

Same as the new tracks and new cars do not change the game. Until there is a fundamental, root shift in the game, all of the features in the world do nothing to make it truly more interesting than it was yesterday. We have seen this first hand with the VGT cars.

You forgot to add "IN MY OPINION".

Otherwise you'd just be wrong.

Excited, yes. Hyped, not really.. Just want to get my hands on the Alpine VGT :) and the Midfield track seems nice..

"Not really, I want the Course maker."

The update sounds interesting and I'm sure I'll enjoy it for an hour or two, but the only thing that could really keep my interest at this point is for PD to finally release the course maker that they promised when I bought the game. :/

Nope, you made a statement as fact, as though you spoke for the game and all the players... "We"???? Who is we? It's not me. "All the features in the world won't make it truly more interesting..." That is utter bull.
By "features", the implication is clear to mean cars and tracks. I am sorry for the confusion. Just as we have seen to this point, more cars, tracks, racing numbers and now B-Spec will still not make it a truly great racing game. The game will still be lacking at its core.

True-er to life Tuning, Endurance Racing, legit AI, advertised Course Maker. Those add-ons would be game changing. Everything they've added to this point has been nothing but fluff.

@Imari it was a figure of speech , i'm not saying that literally everyone is complaining , captain obvious.

That's not what I meant. You're implying that the same people that were asking for B-Spec are the same ones that are moaning about it being a waste of time.

It's just not true.

It's totally normal for one group to be vocal when a feature they want isn't coming, and for a different group to be vocal when a feature they feel is a waste of dev time is put out. It's what discussion boards are for.

Maybe you were just trying to be funny, but maybe you're complaining about people doing exactly what they should be doing on here and sharing their opinions. I don't think that's terribly cool.

@Imari i just gave my opinion on the subject and i wasn't trying to be funny. Also obviously it isn't the same people , but i was talking about what i saw today and yesterday in the forums.

On another note you seem offended , may i know why?

Just as people expressed themselves about B-Spec , i expressed myself about those same people . If that isn't "terribly cool" then complaining about B-Spec isn't "terribly cool?" aswell since it's the same thing. I was "sharing my opinion" aswell.

I am excited for 1.16 but I do not see it as game changing for me.

B-Spec will be a novelty for me unless it is fully incorporated with returning endurance racing.

Midfield Raceway is a cool circuit and I am looking forward to testing my favourite cars there.

Paintable wings will be nice for an hour or so. Being able to paint the Mazda LM55 VGT is great - I got to try matt black.

The new VGT cars are what I'm really looking forward to. The Lexus and Alpine both look amazing while the Mini could be a surprise performer.

I wonder if 1.16 will bring anything else as it seems like a substantial update so far.

I'm glad about Midfield but went with good also. As much as I like Midfield the Course Maker would have been my choice if it indeed will allow you to create your own tracks. That should mean that you could duplicate any track including Midfield. You make not get the same scenery but you would have the track layout. As far as B-Spec goes I can take it or leave it. PD could have used that time to complete the course maker and maybe even the KW Suspension tool. I am in for some new cars. We need more customization tools like aero parts for cars that don't, being able to swap engines and drivetrains etc. That's why I loved the hybrids so much especially the ones we could create in GT2 and GT3.

We never had an update in January did we? I doubt we would have an update this month, other than that this is awesome from PD they really caught us by surprise, especially Midfield Raceway well for me personally one of my favourite tracks in the whole GT Series.

March update to come so far we have:
Alpine Vision GT
Lexus Vision GT
Mini Vision GT
B-Spec
Midfield Raceway
Paintable Rear Wings
Course Maker (Possibly/Hopefully)

Might be the best update yet, but still no confirmed date for this update so I bet PD still has a few more surprises for us.

I was... but then I realized B-Spec was going to be half baked with no endurance.

Midfield will be fun though.

According to PD's previous inconsistency, there is no possible way of me to know what exactly will be in the next update.

With that said, I cannot vote with out being biased. 👎

You cannot say "So far we have" then put Possibly/Hopefully in brackets as there isn't any mention whatsoever of it at the moment. In other words it's not coming in March. It's just teasing us!
:(

The Course Creator is the Holy Grail.

I'm Kinda 50/50. I am but then again I'm not. It sounds odd I know. I'm looking forward to driving on midfield raceway again. It's been since gt4. (Even though I just drove on it on gt psp which I have downloaded on my vita:D).
B spec is going to be useless..... Unless they add endurance races. Then yea it would be worth it. It's going to be a feature that's not gonna be used that much if endurance races ain't in. I'm pretty sure a lot of people got 100% on gt6. The game is easy to most people (from what I read). vision gt cars I'm looking forward too and paintable wings is gonna be pretty cool. Hopefully it's a few surprises in this update. But I doubt.

Well, I voted for waiting for Project CARS. As I see it, GT6 is all filler, no thriller now. Unless there's going to be new game modes to use the B Spec BOB's, what possible use is it apart from novelty value ?
I have completed my career, bought all the cars I want so I can't see what possible use B Spec is. Sure, a new player who's only recently got into GT6 will find it is useful for gaining credits, but for those in the same position as me, who've finished their career, its way too late to get hyped over (IMHO). B Spec should have been included upon release or within a couple of months of release to have been of any use. Now, it just seems like PD is just honouring their promise of its inclusion.
New cars and tracks do get me mildly excited, but seeing as they won't actually bring anything new to career mode this late in the day when nearly everyone has completed it ? Sure, we could have new seasonal events or Quick Matches using the cars / tracks but what do the actually add to the game apart from grinding out more credits to buy the cars you didn't really want to buy by completing career mode ?
Now, Course Creator does get me excited. Hyped is a bit too strong of an emotion, but the thought of driving any of the cars in my [virtual] garage, on a track created by myself, based on a roads that I've driven IRL, will keep my interest for quite a while. Even the most mundane route from home to work and back, will take on a new meaning when you drive it in a rally car, LMP or even in a Kart

Well, this board is to discuss the game rather than discussing the users so no, it's not the same. It's even worse when one is generalizing about said users.

On subject, not too hyped but quite pleased to see one of my favorite tracks returning. B spec could have been cool if it came along with some proper endurance events that have been missing since launch for whatever crazy reason, but not seeing that happening, I couldn't care less about it.

Not hyped in the slightest, midfield seems cool, not so much with the standard lexus and mini vgts, but its all too little too late.

@Cosbuster i was discussing the game , that wasn't my only comment in this thread.

Also , that comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously but there's always people that don't get , you in this case.

I expect Midfield to be another boring, perfectly flat track like Apricot Hill. It'll be pretty, it'll be new, it'll be fun to drive a few times, but ultimately it'll be a perfect racing surface that offers little feel through the wheel and and is completely devoid of character and the little quirks that make things unique and enjoyable. No dips and dives, no unexpected bumps, ridges and track imperfections, no oddly cambered road surfaces, you know, all of the things that make the Nordschleife the most popular sim driving track in the world. Basically a Tilkedome without the name and runoff areas.

So pretty much, what it was in GT4 :P
