Having found out about the "custom livery" cars and these so called "customized paint chips", I think it might be worth pre-ordering now.

I won't be pre-ordering. I'll wait to see how the game is recieved by the press and people on here first. Gt5 was a fairly underwhelming experience, so for me it's a case of once bitten twice shy.

After these :

Special Polyphony designed 15th Anniversary Steelbook (what you see here is not the final pack design)
GT6 game
1M in-game credits
20 cars with special 15th Anniversary custom livery and performance enhancement
Custom paint chips, custom race suit, custom race helmet and custom avatars
Apex II, a brand new updated version of the Apex game guide
Completing the line up will be a PS3/GT6 bundle which will also include all of the Anniversary Edition content you see above here.
But the good stuff doesn’t end there – depending on your retail outlet, if you pre-order either edition, not only will you be one of the first on the GT6 starting grid, you could have the chance to pick up 1 million in game credits or a choose from the incredible range of 20 specially designed 15th Anniversary vehicles, with their custom livery and performance enhancement. There’s plenty on offer to whet the appetite – check out the list below:

If this indeed true, then we will have premium AE86 and maybe Keiichi's street version TRD 86 as well:D

Yeah, I will preorder the Anniversary SteelBook edition :)

Is there a way to pre-order a game up there in DF? Blockbuster right?

I am pre-ordering it with gamestop :D

Might be, but I haven't seen any GT6 advertisement over here so far...

I'm still sticking to my plan: Waiting for reviews and final car & track list... if it's not good enough for me, no buy from me...

Not until they clear up all this mess and let us know of all the exact options we have and what is each one made of. I need to see what are those "custom liveries" and what are gonna be the special editions (or of the 15th Anniversary Edition is the only one).

I won't be pre-ordering. I used my pre-ordering money on GTA V, anyways. I'll have to see how GT6 plays out first a bit, before I was to buy it. I still have much more to do on GT3, GT4, and GT5 that I haven't yet gotten around to.

I really want to pre-order it now, because the obsessive-compulsive car collector in me wants all of the cars as fast as possible.

But I'll wait for more information.

Still waiting to see if any more "exclusive editions" are announced.

Do want the best/most included edition of it, regardless what anyone else says. ;)

Just saw the release date of 12/31, now I'm stuck if I want the game or not, because the PS4 will be out by then. So will GT6 be "double-dipped", meaning a PS4 version or port would come out a little later? Hmmm..

That date is just a placeholder.

While I admit it is somewhat tempting, as it is certainly designed to be, I am still reluctant to take the plunge, particularly this early on.

Later, maybe.

The million credit offering, takes me back to the realities of a poorly implemented and unbalanced credit and progression system in GT5.
Perhaps PD realizes this as well, and GT6 will just be more of the same.

I preordered GT5 about a week before it came out and got the Gamestop car bonus.
After getting and playing the game however, I still felt I had been had, seeing GT5 was not close to the quality, it should have been.

On the other hand, GT6 will probably be my only near future racer, since FM5 will be on the XBOX ONE,
and I see nothing that beneficial, at this point, to justify going there.

That being the case, a preorder of GT6 maybe in the future by default, if nothing else.

In the meantime, I'll wait and see what other info on GT6 comes about in the next few months.

im gonna hold out bit longer to see if a equivalent to the signature edition comes out. id like to add to my collection of chromelines and stealths.

if this 15th anniversary version is the only one looks like it'll have to do.

No need to pre-order. It will be everywhere, no sold out.
And I'm not excited about it since it's not on ps4.

For the first time ever with a GT game, I'm going to wait until professional and peer-to-peer reviews start coming in.

HKS racer
I'll buy it used on purpose. Not happy to give PD any money. I'm so pissed off by the paint chip system still going on instead of a livery editor.

They haven't said there isn't a livery editor. We don't have the final game yet so it's all up in the air now.

👍 Agreed!

Maybe next gen they'll learn.

GT6 should still be a worthy game, but not $60 worthy. Waiting for a used copy is not too hard.

I'm willing to give PD a second chance to see if they learned anything from GT5, so I'm getting it first day. But GT6 will determine if I continue to stick with the series or abandon it. Heck, I'm not even as excited for GT6 as I was for GT5. I'm not falling for PD's hype this time, so at least I'll be surprised if they get something right.

I'm going to wait until I've got confirmation on a few things that I need to know beforehand.

  1. No standard cars
  2. Proper tyre model
  3. Race mods and similar stuff available for most cars
  4. Single player similar to GT4

Okay, the last point is kinda optional. The first three aren't. Granted, I know that GT6 will have a new tyre model already, so I'll just give it the benefit of the doubt in that regard. Standard cars are okay if a) there's no difference in terms of functionality and b) if the visual differences aren't as pronounced (so they don't throw me off if the AI is using them). Race mods being available for most of the road cars is also very important to me.

The GT6 demo will be live until Aug 31. This makes me think if we'll see GT6 full version earlier than expected. It would be clever by Sony to release GT6 some months before PS4.
