When that happens we'll be playing on the exact same version, therefore we'd never really have missed anything.
He said he won't be subjecting himself to initial release bugs and flaws.

I know.He said he won't be subjecting himself to initial release bugs and flaws.

👍
Yeah, to me it makes sense to wait. I actually pre-ordered GT5 and still have the codes unused for the extra content.
I know.![]()
What you may miss is not being subjected to bugs or flaws. When that happens we'll be playing on the exact same version, therefore we'd never really have missed anything.
That's not my point. What you may miss is not being subjected to bugs or flaws.
It absolutely doesn't matter if he suggested it or not.The original message you quoted didn't suggest you would miss anything. He just meant the first version he plays will likely be more polished than if he bought it day one.
That's not my point.
My point was that we'd never miss anything, because we'd have at all times at least as much as you.
I guess you misunderstood my point.
Not really because that's still not the point. Imagine the game is a 9 to start with and a 9.5 after three patches. He would rather wait until it's a 9.5 to start the game than start when it's only a 9.
Anyway pointless discussion, let's move on.
Sorry, you sort of contradicted yourself there - so GT5 was a disappointment due to the reasons given...but you are and will still be playing it by Christmas. That's fairly conclusive evidence that there is enough to do - and before you counter with "yes, I play online" that is still a part of the gameI'll wait to see more details, as I pre-ordered the collector's edition of GT5 (the only time I did that for a game) and was pretty disappointed with the lack of things to do and how the presentation was handled. When the game gets closer to launch, if it looks like there are a lot of tracks, a lot of races, better AI and a myriad of things that are fun, then I'll probably pre-order or at least buy soon after launch. But if it turns out to be Pokemon for cars, then I may skip it altogether.
If that's the case I'll have to keep getting my couch racing fix from Forza 4 and GT5, or maybe get a PC with gaming potential (I usually use mine just for work) and try iRacing.

^^ I bought a xbox bundle last year with FM4 and since then i have only played GT5 1 time again, to check out the madrid circuit after i visited the city.
Meaning as i have the best alternative possible (which for me satisfies all points where GT5 drops the ball), i can afford to skip GT6 entirely.
People that only have a PS3 are a bit screwed in that sense regarding racing simulators with everyday cars, as they depend on what PD shelves out.
We all want them to deliver with GT6 tough, and if they still haven't done anything noticable about those major flaws again... that would be very sad indeed.
I'm glad I'm not alone here then.Yes.
Even if 80% of the people here are PO'd about something in the game (or not being in) I'll still be happy as a peach enjoying new tracks and cars even if it's only an equal to GT5 in every other way![]()
