I've changed up some of my settings and the game feels nicer to play with a pad. However I didn't touch the more indepth settings. I love the factory TCS & ABS settings, just feels nicer I rate.

I'm still not feeling the punishing difficulty even on easy. Just to get Podium on Novice 2 has just been a mission on its own and the way I get gapped on the E30 & Z4 race has been a joke.

I really hope this patch fixes up things.

Agree on the factory settings, such a great idea. And it's a bit less punishing on a wheel mate, I was struggling on Easy at first, but now I'm just about avoiding being embarrassed at Alien level (on tracks I know well)... You enjoying it, nonetheless?

Hi Guys

I use L\R triggers for accel and brake. What I find is that my trigger only needs to be squeezed (this isnt a metaphor for anything :)) 10% of the way to utilise the brakes 100% resulting in lock-ups.

hoping to get some advise on how I can spread brake pressure through the entire trigger movement?

Cheers,

I too have issues with my trigger and premature braking. :scared:

I think Kunos mentioned they're working on improved controller optimization. Not sure if that includes trigger sensitivity. A possible solution would be brake sensitivity and brake deadzone sliders. As we don't have those sliders at the moment, you'll have to decide how often you want to squeeze your trigger. :odd:

I think I know the "trick". But until next week I must remain silent. ;)

Haha good man @Boston77 and @gladbecker82 almost!! And @Donnced you've just found out on my YT channel!!

In the Lotus Exos 125 Stage 1 you can adjust the gear ratios like all race cars, but with this car you can make them long enough for the car to potentially go over 1000kph!! You can get up to 300 kph in 1st gear Haha

Look here, it's like a Tesla:

Sadly there's not a straight long enough to get the car that fast, but if a drag strip turns up on console............

AC for me is not bad but the punishing difficulty pushed me away for a while. I don't have a wheel for PS4 and I'm planning on investing in one waaaaaay later when I can afford it.

Though the physics on the controller make sense I wish Kunos made more use of the vibration feedback like what Codies did with DiRT Rally.

Another thing too, the game feels too sterile, it really needs more life.

I also agree with the populous regarding the things that need fixing.

The game right now just needs more polish.

How did you get that Koenigsegg Regera into the Game :DDD
That's crazy.

- Better menus
- Photomode
- Showroom Mode
- A couple more of tracks

And this game could become killer
It is such a shame that those things are missing from the console version. Just add it to the list of differences between the PC & console versions. Ugh...It's like they should have named it Assetto Corsa Lite. :grumpy:

I heard photomode and showroom will be added

I hope so. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the missing features/options are added to the base game over time. The question is, will it be too late? Many people have already given up on AC and it hasn't even been officially on the console for a full month yet.

If they would have just had private lobbies, I think they would have saved themselves a tremendous amount of complaints and returned games. People would still be ticked off about the bugs, but Kunos would announce their intentions to fix those problems, like they did, and people would go off into the online lobbies with their friends and forget about Career Mode until it's "fixed".

I agree with the "too sterile" comment. But what's funny is there are mods on the PC that "remove" environmental objects like the people/crowd/fans - "No People v2.2" mod for one. I realize some on the PC have low end hardware and mod to improve performance but it's going the wrong way in my opinion. If I could have a Forza environment with R3E or rFactor 2 FFB and physics it would be ideal!

It's partly the scenery but mostly SFX in my opinion. The only thing you hear in AC track environments are a couple of small birds. Adding more environmental sound effects like better crowd noise and a track speaker could already go a long way.

You're totally right, I just started Uncharted while waiting for the patch. It totally needs it

Well i think Nathan Drake is happy the patch is still not out lol! He's getting more attention!

I've encountered this too with my T300 pedals - locked up brakes with maybe 1/3 pedal stroke. Seems we'll have to make do with what it is for now. I'm holding out hopes that the upcoming patch addresses a bunch of misc. stuff like that. One that's been killing me is the McLaren F1 GTR downshift blip banging on the rev limiter with every downshift..

Will it be too late? Indeed a big concern. I think they may have underestimated the importance of a strong launch with the console market.

I actually worry about what will happen to the Kunos-configured open lobbies once they bring private lobbies. I don't have friends who play these kinds of games so a healthy open lobby scene (I would prefer match making system) is important for me. Seeing as there are a max of like 15 people all together at any given time in the current network environment, I can't lose a one of them to private lobbies! ... :nervous:

Kunos' only chance of retaining me to AC is establishing an online matchmaking/ranking system to compete with the next GT. I feel like the hardcore guys scoff at this stuff, but to appeal to a wider gamer audience and make the game work for them it is a critical bit. A lot of you might not realize how off-putting it is to have to hunt around random open lobbies looking for a race. GT's quick match system, for all of its flaws, made clear to me that it is the future of online racing - at least for GT. Considering PD's plans for GT they seem to have a similar idea. Perhaps if it is successful, Kunos will emulate it. I'd like that, because I love everything about driving in AC and will need the reprieve from the inevitable awful vacuum sounds of GT.

Anyway, two things I'd like to mention:

- As discussed in other threads, depressing the pedals at the beginning of the game works as some kind of calibration and does make a difference. I'm pretty sure of it now. It makes them work in a more progressive way, using more of the travel and giving you more feel. I depress each pedal three times in the static screen with the Ferrari FXX-K (after the intro, but before entering the menus). I think that doing it so after entering the menus already does nothing;

- Also, as @Wiz pointed out in another thread, a lower number in the TC settings actually means that it will be stronger and more intrusive than a higher number. Keep that in mind.
For reference, I'm using a stock T300RS.

AC on pc & AC on console is kind of like Race 07 on pc & Race Pro on Xbox360, console versions of those games are good but the pc versions are way better in terms of performance, options & content.

We all want some kind of matchmaking/ranking system for multiplayer, but I don't believe that's anything that will come to AC soon.

That's why forums like this one have a section for people to organize clubs and leagues.

Question who do you think is at fault for that on both counts (because your quite correct, AC is this gens RacePro), the developer....or the guy buying a console instead of a PC?

Kunos IMO underestimated console users and have probably spent too long listening to the wrong people on their forums and dismissed console users as second rate and thought they could pull a fast one, again to clarify.. IN MY OPINION.

We have been told for so long what makes a 'sim', then along comes this one and people are shouting how fantastic it is yet it has no tyre wear or heat indicators?! This is basic stuff!

Wow, that couldn't be further from the truth....

I guess since GT6 came out with all kinds of stuff missing and two+ years later it's still missing stuff that was promised means they think console players are second rate and they tried to pull a fast one on them?

You don't know its that far from the truth same as i don't really know if it is the truth, it's an opinion so rubbishing it unless you have some insider info on Stefano's mind is no less far fetched.
At the end of the day they gave us console users a sub par product at release, what the hell else am i to think that they are just rubbish at developing games?
