Couldn't find anything like that, nor have I received such email.

Strange, considering I have both an EU and US account.
Me neither. But then again, it's been almost 2 years since I've received an email from playstation despite the fact that I never opted out of anything. I only get emails when i add funds to my wallet, or buy something from the ps store as a way of providing a receipt. I haven't received any promotional emails in almost 2 years. Sucks :(

Did a 15 lap custom race at Red Bull Ring in the McLaren MP GT3 on 'medium' setting - i chose the McLaren as it came out top of my GT3 timings - the AI blasting straight past me on the straights though - is there a reason for this?? Is this how Kunos make it harder if you up the difficulty..thats not realistic surely?

I used to think, wait a minute.. are my pedals busted?

I've always thought their corner exit speeds seem too high, which puts you at a disadvantage on the straights.

Is there a right setting? I think I read something hard on console was equivalent to alien on PC... Correct me if I'm wrong?

To me,'medium' is like a 'hard' setting on PS4 - the AI were 4 seconds a lap faster than me on the RBR.

I had this problem too. It turned out my controller's throttle button was defective.

PRC, not interesting at all lol. I saw a screen cap of some of that article thankfully as im not giving that poisonous site any clicks.

" The only thing we were wrong about was the name" Lol ok guys that's not a big thing to get wrong.

Tell me about it. How can someone be so hateful and angry about something as trivial as sim racing.

This place was the first forum I ever signed up for and it's sure a good one. Sure it can be a little restrictive in places but there's such a depth of knowledge and maybe most importantly a real positivity to the place. Totally unlike PRC!

I recall reading that the AI use a driving aid that isn't available to the player which allows them to get much better traction in corners and as such they can get perfect exit speeds and be much faster down a straight. I don't know if that is still the case or not but I remember reading about it here.

question regarding special events, are we supposed to get gold time in hot lap sessions with default car setup?

I would like to know this also, The Special Events i have tried i have been off the pace of gold by quite a margin. If so, Is there anywhere to go for all the setups?

You are wrong, on PC we do not have hard or alien, just a cursor from 80 to 100%, more range if you use CM.

Interesting.............. Lol :P

Not promoting this site in any shape or form is probably a good idea, except if you believe anything good for our hobby can come out of it.

I really struggle in comparison to the AI exiting slow speed corners in heavily turbo charged cars. At the last corner of Spa I always feel like I'm not getting on the power quite hard enough and the AI rocket off towards the turn 1 hairpin. As soon as I try going a bit harder I'm straight into the wall hard on the right hand side!

It's particularly annoying in that corner as the AI seem to have a weakness into very slow corners so you miss the chance for an overtake.

I would say they threw in more or less random numbers, I was doing two special events, one at Magione which was hard but doable without ABS and TC with some minor setup tuning.
I was dicking around about an hour on this one but eventualy got one lap together.

Second event was "Demon on Wheels" - Z4 GT3 on Imola and even with ABS, low fuel, setup and agressive driving, I was still 1.3 seconds off. I'm new to AC so there is room for a improvement in setups but I don't think I'm going to spend so much time on every event.
AC for me is the most valuable for its laser scanned tracks and good physics, so I will be spending the time in AC enjoying that, rather than chasing virtual medals.

Im not a completionist, So im not that bothered. Its just i prefer the special events over the career and i was wondering why i was so far off in a few of them...

I wonder how they set the laptimes? They got someone good in their studio?

Any aliens here have any tips on how to get faster? I've totally hit a wall and am 2 to 3 seconds off the YouTube/leaderboard aliens. Is it even possible with a pad?

This is a question I have pondered over regularly. In the special events there is instances where I can barely get bronze yet I have beaten the Alien times on my second or third attempt and wondered why it was so easy. There appears (to me anyway) there is no consistency here at all (shrug). I should add there were two events I got gold on my first attempt.

I know why some of the race events I can't do is because the AI keep bumping my rear quarter panel and spinning me >:-( But that is a different issue.

Wonder why we don't even get sliders... In fact there are little options on most things.
I wish I knew, like you I am puzzled. Surely having more choice on how to set the AI can't just be because of console limitation! Weird.
Could be a good question to the devs on the support forum.

I don't like the racing with the AI in this game. On Medium I'm in P1 in under a lap. but on Hard I make a few places up & then can't get any higher. On Hard they are the exact same pace as me & I can't improve. This was with a stock KTM on Brands Hatch GP, 5 lap quick race.

Also, for some reason in a race the rear end of the car slides away without any warning, as if it's on ice, & it's impossible to recover. The telling thing is that this doesn't happen in practice mode.

Hmmm...

That's likely to do with having tyre blankets on or off at the start of the session. I think.

Do you have tyre app displayed so you can monitor what's going on? Also AI can be very dependent on cars and tracks, personally I'm just happy they race with me.
