And Fanatec support is gone...
I'm done with Sony (it's all their fault, not Fanatec, not even Kunos).

Well then, I guess I'm gonna sell my PS4 and play what I can on Xbox one.

I knew it  I received my tp3a-pros today I thought I will wait before switching the fanatec with TM not now. Ok I'm lucky I own OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED PRODUCT but am still gutted as the fanatec is much better in my opinion.

Certainly wasn't trying to argue with you or say you were wrong, and I'm not sure why you see it and I don't, but I genuinely didn't really see anything objectionable. Odd.
Sure. 👍

And by the way, when I said "strange" it's because people mentioned it here and in the YT comments. Even the guy driving mentions it.

Having said that, I have no doubts that you're just being plain honest.

CSL Elite will go online this Friday
  • The new CSL Elite series will be online in our webshop and available for pre-order this Friday, 26th of August.

On Friday you will get full specs, pricing and pictures. The first reviews will follow as well.
Fanatec I love you. wound/salt

So, i played for a couple of hours. I tried various car/track compos. Here are my first impressions :
Good :
UI is really nice and user friendly
Driving model (physics/ffb) are really good
Dash cam is really nice

Some problems :
Graphics are not up to par with other games (pCARS, dirt rally)
random stuttering and screen tearing (not unplayable but noticeable)
no automatic DOR system, every car I've tried has 900 DOR, so you have to change it yourself on the wheel
no wheel calibration option
No automatic DOR is just plain silly. Every car should have that info programmed in its data and then sent to the wheel. Having to change by using the buttons on the wheel base is a step I never want to do and feel I shouldn't ever have to unless I really wanted to.

I think it's a bug, because the wheel in cockpit view has the right steering angle but my TX wheel doesn't adopt to it.
There's already a post about this problem in the official forum.

Ooooh well hopefully that's it. I imagine the official forum is going to have a lot of traffic over the next week or so regarding these kind of things.

Know I'll be mocked as I'm the only who uses the d-pad for steering and the triggers for gears still....but will I be able to on the console version?

no dlc is coming at the moment,... only a season pass,.........
if you do not have bought the game with dlc, you will have too wait!!!

weirdest thing is, i was pumped for the ferrari F1 car,....... but that is not included in the console version,... should come eventualy :banghead:
I asked them on tweeter & they replied that the Japanese pack is gonna come in the near future :(

Don't worry about it; when I revisited GT3 earlier this summer, I instinctively went back to the D-Pad.

AFAIK, that's not possible on the DS4. You'll have to use the stick for steering. Haven't checked out all the presets though.

After some more testing and playing with ffb settings i have some advice for people who still have doubts about AC :

BUY THE GAME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!

The driving model (physics an ffb) is MIND-BLOWING, it's so addictive to drive a car that you can forgive all the shortcomings.

First 30 min of play : good, but not as good as pCARS
Next 30 min of play : hmm, maybe it's as good as pCARS
Next 30 min of play : OMG, it's freaking awesome, it's MUCH better than pCARS
:gtpflag:

👍 I imagine (hope) this will be a somewhat common occurrence. It gets more addictive from here. I recommend having a go in the BMW 235i, the Alfa GTA, and the Merc Evo DTM, those are my favorites and they're very different from each other so you'll get a good sampling of how each car is very unique.

Mind showing us your FFB settings here? Then we can fire up the game without worries when it officially releases! ;)

Human nature, see the bad and not the good points! Just enjoy the ride and allow Kunos to do the rest.

No, if there's screen tearing its worth pointing out on videos as people will soon see it for themselves, its just simply managing expectations.
Look, It's a £30 game, in this generation that's practically a budget priced game, I'm not expecting much other than this fabled FFB/Physics, if that delivers its golden mate.

Would you be so kind to list/check the preset ? Is it possible to use gas/brake with X and square ( face buttons ) or the shoulder buttons for gas/brake ( L2/R2 ) while shifting with square and circle ? Any clutch button assigned ? Can the gas/brake/clutch be setup ( deadzone/range ) ? I have asked several times with no response :/

If you have optimized the steering settings on the DS4, how does it compare to say GT6 with the analog steering ? When drifting for example ( countersteer ).

Also, any graphic options that can be changed like in PC ? Something similar to Pcars, so user can scale the LOD/graphic effect etc to increase FPS peak/stability.
