Let's see! Although as mentioned about the D1P has appearently helped the framerate at Nords. :)

Some dire screen tearing and Kev mentions it not once.. look at the trees and flag poles etc big tearing. Could someone post up a video of the ultra best ever PC looking youclip you have found so i can see the difference?

It's not so much the tearing but that stuttering that bothers me.

I dont use vsync so its gonna tear like hell.

Can anyone confirm whether you can customise the controls for the pad on ps4?

Yes, there are some possibilities:

My Controller Set Up
Vibration intensity - 80% (standard)
Speed Sensitivity - 75%
Steering Speed - 2%
Steering Deadzone - 45%
Steering Filter - 60%
Steering Gamma - 250%

Copied in Youtube :)

I posted this yesterday, it's from the PS4. Watched most of it, I saw virtually no screen-tearing even with a full grid of cars.

Any price on the season pass yet? I decided to cancel my pre-order for now as I haven't been able to have a properly good go at F1 2016 yet and would hate for it to go to waste. Look forward to all the player reactions. :)

It's there, about middle of the trees as car turns theres a flick of tearing, some of these vids do make it look very poor which i'm putting down to youtube.
But as i've said before Race Pro on the 360 was dire graphically but the physics made up for it and i was still playing it up untill a year ago and Milestone seem to of got away with dire graphics for ages now (Moto GP aside). So if AC is this generations Race Pro for £30 i'll live with it.

I saw a few small instances but only because I was looking for it. Seemed like it was always in the distance and not something I'm sure I'd even notice while racing. Definitely wasn't something that jumped out or seemed distracting.

If the "look very poor" you're referring to was the video quality, on this particular video I presume it's because it was a live stream. When I stream to Twitch it does the same thing, kinda puts a fuzz on everything and makes some edges look blocky, but what I actually see on my screen is crisp and sharp and fluid with no tearing or frame rate drops or blocky edges. In my case it's just due to the Twitch compression.

My PS4 in now downloading version 1.01. It is 212.5 MB.

People are playing this game on disc now. I have to wait another day and 9 sodding hours. It is not funny. :banghead:

That's a point worth keeping in mind.

Please share the patch notes if you can.

This must be some kind of joke.

I know the fanboysm runs rampant in the assetto corsa fans, but not having private lobbies for X months is something that is a real issues for all that race with their gtplanetv friends online...

Really you guys would be 100% satisfied with good physics and no way to play that good physics online with your friends in a championship?

Everytime I read pbugs in this thread I ask myself if I want to meddle with such childish users >_>

I fear that assetto corsa name will save it from the legitimate critics it may deserve.

Hope people won't be silly like with pcars and start calling it assetto-bugs :D

Week in any case it's just an handful of days now. Plus the months to have private lobbies that is -.-

My comments on the no private lobbies posting had nothing to do with fanboyism. It had everything to do with telling people to come to this thread and read at least a few individual posts before you make a post about no private lobbies, like it's brand new information. Every third post was someone claiming the same thing, as if nobody had heard yet. That's just annoying and rude to do.

2.316GB? PlayStation Store has it listed as 14GB. Serious uncompression!
I have no idea how console files work when installing from an online source like the PS Store. I have no idea what type of compression they use, nor do I know what is being super compressed. However, I know on the PC side that cars and tracks seem to compress down to incredibly small sizes, compared to their decompressed .7z file. It's like an 80MB download decompresses to a 300+ MB track. Blows me away...

Man, I really have a ton of sympathy for all the console users in this thread who are experiencing less than stellar performance and/or programming issues. From what I understand, patches don't get pushed out too quickly because of the authorization process, or something like that. We are very lucky with the PC version. We've gotten 3 or 4 updates/hot fixes in a week before!

I hope all the bugs get sorted out, for all of you. Hopefully things will get better very quickly for you guys. Hang in there...

That ******** about updates and the time it takes to get them online,...........

If sony wants it out it wil go out,.. some aaa games can have updates within a day.
Till a sony employee tells the truth we will never know how they come out.

Hope that doesn't mean they removed the Fanatec support. :nervous:
I seen other people say the same thing. Do you mean that you're worried Fanatec wheels were working previously, but then Kunos decided to make them not work with the game? Or do you mean they might work, but they just won't guarantee it? If it's the former, that would be insane!

The devs have to pay Sony/Microsoft for every update. If they are willing to pay more Sony/Microsoft will rush it and get it out in a day or two, otherwise it can take a week or two.

They were working before the patch, but due to some directive from Sony the patch removed it. Not Kunos doing (to my understanding). Pretty bizarre turn of events, no logical reason for it other than Sony wanting to put their foot down.

HAHA! Are you freakin' serious? Oh, that's gold, Jerry. GOLD!

Why would I expect it to be any other way? :boggled:

I'm done with Sony (it's all their fault, not Fanatec, not even Kunos).

Well then, I guess I'm gonna sell my PS4 and play what I can on Xbox one.

Take a look here:

Can you notice the effect when the car enters the right-hand corner, and everything seems to stutter and the AI cars look like they're in slow-motion?

This is what I was mentioning above as being worried about (I've seen this in other videos as well).

I don't know what to call it - tearing, stuttering, whatever - but I'm afraid this might be a bit distracting and even mess with the driving.

That's my understanding, yes. Microsoft/Sony must inspect each patch and approve it, that costs them money so they make the devs pay for the process. If they want an expedited process they pay more. This is why it will take longer for the console version to receive patches and why they won't receive as many.

No? Maybe it's because I'm viewing it on a different device than you or something but the 10 minutes I watched all looked pretty smooth to me. After moving from console to PC I became pretty sensitive to screen tearing and even a little bit on my system bothers me and I act quickly to dial it out, I didn't see anything in that video that would bother me.

... As if Microsoft is better about this. The only wheels on Xbox One are fully licensed ones. Sony "clamping down" is doing nothing more than bringing an identical situation.

Let's wait for Friday's Fanatec CSL Elite wheel launch, see what they announce about PS4 licensed support.

So, i played for a couple of hours. I tried various car/track compos. Here are my first impressions :
Good :
UI is really nice and user friendly
Driving model (physics/ffb) are really good
Dash cam is really nice

Some problems :
Graphics are not up to par with other games (pCARS, dirt rally)
random stuttering and screen tearing (not unplayable but noticeable)
no automatic DOR system, every car I've tried has 900 DOR, so you have to change it yourself on the wheel
no wheel calibration option

Strange, but fair enough.
