My settings for the BMW M4 GT3 and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 ( think you requested the Merc earlier )
My screen is a 75”, distance 3-3.2 meters.
Thanks for sharing. This was the big topic for me too. I spent a lot of time with each car I use and I can recommend this to everyone. It is so important to have a right "in car" feeling like you are really driving. I can have huge impact on lap times. I have a rig in front of 65" TV approx 1.5-2 meters from my head. Now I'm using FOV 51 deg for every car. Wheel ad hands hidden because I don't want it twice.

This is my settings for McLaren:

The steering wheel is covered by my Fanatec, so no issue :)

Nice, big topic for me too.
All racing games should have FOV settings.

I have edited my post and included that I use dashboard cam.

I’ve tried to set my FOV accordingly but for a 55’ tv and 2m distance, my FOV should be 20 degrees which is all sorts of weird.

I’m playing in the dash cam, the one where you only see the dashboard at the default 54 degrees. I don’t know if I’m just used to it but I can gauge the distances to other cars and curbs well enough. My only struggle is those tight corners when you’re side by side and you loose the curb reference point, but then again I don’t think a different FOV would help. Maybe a different camera where you can see more of the sides…

You know, in tight corners, you are not able to see in the real car too. You need to send it there and then you can feel the FFB job. And only practicing the circuit can help, I think.

The ones at the top of the page were updated. Trust me

I’ve since added to the “gain” 10 points, going to ‘80’.

I’ve also gone to ‘40’ on road effects.

Ok now I see it was edited in Sept. 2021. It's too late tonight to try it. Maybe I can get to it tomorrow night.

Thanks for posting the settings , I think this is an overlooked part of console sim racing, the difference the correct for makes is huge. Albeit everyone's tastes are different I have a 55 inch screen sitting just back of wheel base, distance is 84cm eye to screen as calculated fov should be 44 which is nice.

However I thought let's see what happens if we go lower and now run at 34 for, completely against the calculation but after tweaking the camera distance I can state the sense of being in a vehicle is immense, for those that haven't tried it give it a go.

I’m on Fanatec GT DD wheel with the F1 V2 wheel. Anyone know how to get the wheel rev lights to match the in-game revs? I know this can be done on PC version in a tuning menu but is there a way on console? My wheel rev lights max-out before they do for the car in the game.

Video comparison between patch 1.7 & 1.8 of ACC on PS5, everything graphically has improved quite a bit, except shadows, which seems that they lowered a bit of detail, but all seems very balanced now.

Overall, it looks like a good improvement - in particular, more and better looking assets.

However, I noticed the tyre marks on version 1.8 to be very bland and much less pronounced than 1.7:

Am I missing something here?

Aris said on stream there’s hotfixes coming for the servers and ffb. Should be earlier this month.
Well that makes me feel a little better that they say something is wrong with the FFB post patch. I still haven't tried the PC settings yet and if a hotfix is coming I'll probably just wait it out. But at least it's not just all in my head.

On sale this weekend for ps5 but a few questions?

How's the dual sense features?
As someone that doesn't really care about gt 3 racing is it worth it?

The dual sense feels great. Very good vibration and haptics imo. The pad is contstantly buzzing, for better or worse.
I said before I've been playing a lot of Grid Legends on the pad and that game feels so lifeless in comparison.

As for the cars... dunno what to say. They feel great to me but if you don't like them it might be a problem. I'm not much of a fan of the GT4s so don't use them much.

The controller mapping is super sensitive as a default, steering needs to be done with slight off centre movements (you cant use the full movement of the stick same with the triggers fractional presses or its lock up time). I found it just ok, hitting an apex should not be this awkward, not anywhere near the fidelity GT7's controller map (but this game seems to have better physics behind the average controller map). Trying to make small corrections on a straight causes the cars to saw because of the over sensitivity. On the reddit pages the consensus was holding the stick at 12 o'clock and making tiny incremental movements was the work around. Try it while its cheap maybe get the disc version so you can trade it if necessary. Vibration wont turn off in the options and its not at all subtle either lol

Hmm, haven't played ACC in ages but do not remember having any such issues on controller ( on PS4), I will try it tonight.

Thanks! Are you using the "second" dashboard cam? Or the first dashboard cam? (when you switch from outside cam to onboard cam)
I think the second one, because I don't see the option to hide Hands en Wheel within your View Options?

The one without the steering wheel, not sure if it is the first or the second.

I’m not sure what type of racing you watch, but watching some of the GT3 & GT4 racing on the GTWorld YouTube channel, should get you in the groove of at least replicating those races. I do know you like McLarens. So, one bonus is using the ”actual” cars racing in the represented series.

We’ll be getting access to USA tracks in the near future. That’s another bonus.

For me, the sound bug only occurs when I use my headset on Xbox Series X (with Dolby Atmos). Than I have constant audio stuttering. When I use the normal 5.1 speakers connected to my receiver, the audio works fine.

But I hope they fix the headset audio very soon.

I think the second one, because I don't see the option to hide Hands en Wheel within your View Options?
If you go into view settings when you're in the first cockpit camera, you can do several things.
Remove hands from the wheel
Remove hands and lock the wheel ( no animation )
Remove the wheel entirely

You can also do this with a keyboard

With wheels and pedals? I don't see this issue as far as I can tell. Where'd you see this?

On some YouTube video. Haven’t tried it myself to see. The guy in the video said you missed 8% and it was visible in the hud.

Edit: doesn’t seem to affect me and I’m on a g29 with default pedals. I can see a slightly bright green and red stripe at the end of the throttle and break meters. If you don’t see this brighter stripes you might not be getting 100% throttle/break.
