There are a few bugs but not game breaking and I'm sure will be patched at some point. The racing and force feedback are epic. If you get the force feedback as you like and the FOV in the cockpit (mine is 41) the sense of speed and realism is superb. As others have said the dirt build-up on the screen as the sun shines is brilliantly done. Racing with a smile on my face. Oh and the sound is fantastic.
Totally agree!
The physics, sound and FFB is on another level to everything else on console. ( PS5, T300 )
If they could smash those bugs it would be epic.

FFB: just changed the Steer lock to 900 and the gain to 75.
DD 100 and Road effects 50.
Felt good, I have just tried some laps in practice mode.

I've seen the same dirt splodge on the windscreen during every race. Maybe my slight OCD is letting it bug me, but it kinda does. A more dynamic approach would be better. Will try turning it down in the visual settings, if they work.
Yeah if it's going to be the same pattern every time I would notice that too.
You mean reset and then tweak them again, or just use default?
It seems this update did reset everything to default based on what I saw in the settings. I know gain wasn't previously at 50%. So if that is default it definitely doesn't feel right.

I'll have more time this weekend to mess around with it. Maybe if @DomB_Fanatec is still around I would love to get his advice on how to possibly fix this. That is if they've had time at Fanatec to see what this update has changed for console users.

But you're right about the sausage curbs barely making an impact. Once I felt how numb FFB was I started intentionally clattering a few of them and barely felt anything at all.
”Force feedback was not working properly, till I reset all the settings to default...then, with the default settings it finally works properly.”

Quote from the forum, have not tried the game myself yet.
So don’t know, just thought it perhaps could be worth trying.
I saw that too.

PS5 update - all my bindings were reset at least as shown in the UI. View left/right/rear bindings missing but it did remember my rear view setting. So maybe they were there as some bindings made since show as unbound, but still work. Also still no keyboard/button box support. Graphics seem better, esp on replay. Not much time on it tho it feels good. Progress I guess…

I’m still having issues trying to get the British dlc to show on my ps5. Anyone have a fix?
I have the same problem. I bought this dlc before the PS5 version came out, now it’s the only dlc that won’t work. There is not even an option to download or buy it in the store.

Have you tried downloading in the app or the web site?

If that doesn’t work try clearing the game licenses. I remember people having issues when the next gen upgrade came out and you had to manually add the download of the dlc.

I remember what I did now. I bought the DLC that was on sale from the app. After that the British pack showed as unavailable. I went the PS Store from the game and it showed as purchased or downloaded can't remember what it said but anyway I went back into the game and it was there

On Series X controller here and use A to shift up, X to shift down.... And cannot unbind 'look left' from X... Also, a lot of audio glitches while in practice (haven't played for a while). Also a bit of stuttering. Just playing with shift down on Y for now, but will wait for patches I guess. Hopefully they come.

The driving experience does seem a bit 'easier' on controller and I'm not sure I like that... It doesn't feel as weighty or nuanced as before.

Just did a Bathurst 12 hour recreation (30 mins 24x time) in the 720 and holy ****, what a blast, this was on PS5 with controller. Cannot wait to set my wheel back up and have a go.

I installed the new update, on Xbox Series X, tried a free practice session, no matter what I do when I change up/down gears using B/X buttons it looks right/left 😡 Can't seem to clear it, I can't even find an option to look left and right. Tried unbinding all but still N/G. Currently unplayable, anyone else ran into this ?

I posted above for PS5. There‘s no option for look left/right in PS5 either. I assigned shift functions to other buttons. You sure you can’t assign the shift functions to other buttons on XB? Not even to directional buttons as a test?

Just having my first taste of this game trying to dial the pad settings in, there doesn't seem to be away to stop the vibration in the triggers even a 0%. Definitely better than the previous game, but the controls feel fairly clunky with controller on PS5 any recommendations for set up?

LB and RB are look left and look right on my Series X with the latest patch.

Does anyone have proper View Settings for the cockpitview / dashview (so without seeing Steering wheel) for the M4 GT3? Playing on 65” OLED with Series X

@xX Jojje Xx perhaps?

Well after 2 hours of trying different pad set ups off of reddit and elsewhere im getting dialled in somewhat, my concern is that Ive dialled out the games nuances lol I cant win. Brings back memories of battling Project Cars 2 and the previous Assetto game in terms of set up fiddling, although not quite as bad defaults from the get go. Im guessing this one is more for steering wheel users to savour, sigh.

After binding shift down to the square button it actually lasted a few races before deciding it wanted that button to look left instead. It's definitely a bug, so will have to live with it for a few weeks probably. And annoyingly. How the UI gets so messed up after a patch I don't know.

If I return all settings to default it assigns LB/RB as gear up/down, but my problem is that I can't use those buttons, too awkward, can't use the triggers for gas/brake and those for gears, it's N/G. I want to use my normal B for up and X for down, like on every other game I play. Guess I'll have to wait for a patch. This isn't the same 1.8 as PC. Everything works fine on that platform.

Hi Rivanov,
Have not tried the M4 yet, I will check it next time I play ACC.

You can disable the triggers vibration, or at least lower it, in the ps5 settings.

I can share what I have on mine when I have the chance. I’ll tag you.

On another note, what’s the visual/audio clue for locking when braking? I think I’m overcooking my tyres when I lower the abs to 3 on the 488 Evo.

Thanks, no need for settings (I tried 12 variations) Ive traded it in already, 2 hours fettling taught me all I need to know, it was not going to be satisfying to drive. Bad pad implementation is not forgivable in my book. I can tell its decent 7/10 driving game under it all, shame the developer cant get it together with play testing before release. I think this game series might come of age in its next iteration, when they plunder this current generations technical potential.

Very strange... Only X and B look left and right respectively on mine with no option to change. I can assign gears to X and B but then you also look in that direction when changing gear.

RB and LB were not assigned to anything after the update and I can assign them as I like.

I'm having the same issue here (Xbox One X). This is just stupid. I've usually set B to gear up and A to Gear down - all fine - however when in use it also looks to the right every time I gear up (press B) which screws up the game experience... And as far as i know there's no way to change this.
I also have the same game on Playstation 5 where this is not an issue fortunately. Other than this the game in now on another level. That's how it should have been released in first place. It's the first time I'm really enjoying it.

Just use the accessories app like I did 👍

The one thing that really stands out to me is that the GT4 cars FFB feels so much better and smoother than the GT3 cars to me.
Is there an option to remove the dirt on the windshield?
