Anyone heard if we will possibly get ps4 keyboard patch so we can start utilising all the hot key functions?

As we are all aware we cannot map everything with our wheels as there are not buttons, so this would be ideal if they did it

Also, map a button to 'cycle lights' rather than just 'light switch' and they'll have two beam intensities . The same is true for the windscreen wipers (three intensities).
@JustMac Regarding the night lights or headlights, the two beam intensities you mentioned (I'm assuming Low and High beams) are they available for all cars or just some?
Reason for asking: I have the night lights/headlights selected as in Default to turn on automatically and it did turn on automatic while driving at night yesterday. However I (we) found it didn't shine much light at all on the track for better visibility (basically had to tip-toe round the track). It was as though it was on low beam. If it is one can cycle the beam (Low-High) via an assigned/mapped button that would be greatly appreciated and I would do it. So can you (or anyone else) confirm if this cycling beam feature is available for all cars or just some?

Thanks CJ. Last night I checked and the add on is installed. Since I powered the console down maybe it will be unlocked when I boot it up tonight after work. Fingers crossed.

Personally I am finding the game absolutely awesome on Xbox One X. It does seem that it plays better on Xbox than PS4. Perhaps that is adding a little to the frustration of PS4 owners that it is better on Xbox. The only issue I had is with the wheel being recognised and there is now a simple workaround for that so am very happy. It is silky smooth on my machine in 4k feeding a 60 inch OLED TV. I would say it matches GTS for visuals (I have a PS4 Pro too). However it betters it with the time of day transitions, night racing and way better audio on the cars. When they provide a proper fix to wheel connectivity it will be perfect.

What kind of wheel do you have and what is the simple workaround to get it recognized?

And for everyone else, if you run quick races are you stuck with the default setups or can they be changed before the race?

Yeah that FOV thing needs to be fixed. I don't really like being right up on the wheel like that.

I’m loving the game on my PS4 Pro, the racing is excellent. No complaints from me and I’ve had no steering wheel problems. 30fps maybe isn’t ideal but it’s also not ruining my enjoyment of the game. I own all of the main PS4 racing games and this is by far the best car physics and sounds I’ve played.
Me too. Controller settings dialed in, spent 2.5 days with it and I LOVE it! I can't stop playing it. I do a lot of comparisons of cars and tracks to PC2 and GTS and aside from the framerate, I really enjoy going back to ACC. The racing feels just amazing with a controller.

And it's the licensed sim I've wanted for a long time. No pretending, no mixed classes and various years of cars lumped in one fictional class, no hodgepodge of tracks, just the real seasons. I love that.
Patches will make it better and I hope FOV is one of the first, but helmet cam, no hud (except for the silly driver rating stuff you can't get off), nothing beats it on console for me.
Just my opinion, I understand why people are disappointed, it has issues. But I'm really enjoying it.

Never driven round Misano before, and after watching some real life onboards from David Perel I thought it looked kinda cool but I did not expect to like it so much! Great little track with some nice flowing sections. Had some very good racing round it today.

In fact I never much enjoyed racing the AI in the first AC but I must say I'm reaching pCARS-level of fun with ACC.

It has its share of issues but I am so glad I bought it.

Zandvoort is the shizzle as well. :)

Zandvoort and Zolder are some of my favorites. I've always wanted to race Paul Ricard on console. It's becoming a favorite as well. 6:00 am, 1 or 2x time progression, such great lighting as the sun is coming up.

I've noticed after a lot of testing that certain car cockpit views increase the stutter as well. I love Audis, but they stutter more than say the Merc and Lambos. Varies by track and car count too.
the Merc at Paul Ricard with the helmet cam is pretty smooth.

Just purchased from Argos for £29.99. Does anybody know if the dlc code is contained in the box? Don't want to break open the seal incase it has to be returned in the event of there being no dlc present. Thanks

If that is Xbox version then the DLC is only available with pre-orders. Think for PS4 it is free on the store for next two weeks but don't own that version so don't know for certain.

Mine did, was inside the sealed bluray case. Also there's a sticker on the front of the case saying it includes the DLC

When you are in the game unplug the usb lead at the back of the wheel then plug it in again. Select OK and then confirm user.

I use a Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 with the McLaren wheel to make it work on an Xbox.

Few comments on today's session...

1. WTF is up with the headlights? Do the cars have a couple of candles up front?
2. The Porsche is flipping awesome. Unless conditions are low grip. Then it's absolutely lethal.... oversteers like a 60's 911 on crossplys.
3. Paul Ricard is officially the worst track I've ever driven on.
4. The penultimate corner at Kyalami is a ****. That inside kerb could launch a Tesla rocket in to orbit.
5. Speaking of kerbs... I've watched Blancpain... the cars hammer the kerbs... try it in ACC and you're car actually becomes a Tesla rocket.
6. Grip levels vary massively from track to track... Bathurst and Zandvoort, for example, feel like driving on velcro, some of the others feel like sheet ice.

Now running dynamic dampening at 100. Also gone back to brake gamma of 1. The recommended 1.9 made trail braking very difficult.

Track experiences all done now, so I've kicked off career mode... driving for Porsche, obviously.

Oh that's quite annoying Argos must be selling two different boxed copies... Anybody got a link to the dlc version selling on Argos ? Thanks in advance

Maybe the view of the outside of the car is wider in the audi? Making graphics processing more intense, i doubt it be the cockpit itself being much more detailed or textured better but i don't know.

You can say that again. It's pitiful. Last night I noticed cars didn't even have rear lights on either.
Coming back to the headlights some users have said in Options you can assign a button to cycle beam (guessing from low, which I guess is default, to high beam). I'm still waiting on confirmation on this.

So don't unplug it from the console end, unplug it at the wheel end?

I watch a lot of IMSA racing. I personally attended the Rolex 24 with a pit pass as my son in law is connected to racing.

I was amazed at how hard and how fast these cars hit the kerbs, lap after lap after lap. I didn't see a single car get overly unsettled. I told my son in law that I wish when I hit the kerbs in PC2 that my car would stay so planted.
