Nice. These are things that were discussed in his recent live-streams that the community suggested and wanted. Should make the AI seem a bit more life-like. 👍

Wonder if this means they save automatically now, or if we can jump out and save any time before the next race starts? That's always been a bit of a pain.

Good one too, I know some people were having a lot of problems with the brakes locking easily.

Nice to see so many get updated, but weren't all the GT3 cars supposed to get V10 with this update too?

Buying AC + all 3 Dream Packs + Japanese Pack + Red Pack + Tripl3 Pack on Steam is cheaper than buying just the console base game, that's freaking insane :eek:

It's a sale. My guess is they're probably trying to capitalize on the hype of the console release, thinking some PC players may take note of all the hype, see it's on sale for a helluva bargain, and decide to jump onboard.

I've managed to answer my own question. Half an hour according to Steam.

Yep, I think they usually hit around 13:00 EDT.

1.8 is available along with Tripl3 Pack.
I just bought AC + all DLC packs, unfortunately due to the way payment works here in Brazil I won't be able to play the game until Monday :guilty:
 
Let us know what you find. I believe there is supposed to be a bit of a FPS boost with this update.
So far it seems that the max fps gets a good boost and the average fps and score go up as a result. The minimum fps seems to be unchanged :indiff:. The game looks and runs better though, so its a good bit of improvement over all. Just wish those minimum fps would of rose as well. Max fps don't do much for me. :lol:

The Praga R1 must use either magic or special super glue to stick to the road that hard, it's crazy. I actually had to double check, well triple check that traction was actually off... And I'm still skeptical.
 
Yeah, in corners normally requiring a breathe off the throttle, pffft as if. This thing you just keep it pinned and it looks at you and says, 'is that it?'

Yup, it's surprisingly easy to drive when it's that planted.


Anyone else having issues loading mod tracks after the update?
 
EVO did a video of the Praga R1R (street legal variant on road tyres) last week on YouTube. That thing has insane grip in the corners, so in comparison the racing variant (which is built to munch Radicals) is in another league :)
 
The Praga is definitely grippy. I presume it's because it has a crap load of downforce but isn't super fast. I drove it around Spa last night and I was hitting maybe 150mph at the end of Kimmel, Eau Rouge was easy flat. Fun car though, should be fun to race.
 
Does anyone know if the cars included in the pre-order package for the PS4 version will be included in the season pass or any other option pack? I want to have all the content but I didn't pre-order the game.

But anyway, I think that's one of the unanswered questions right now, where can one get the Prestige cars. Also, the Season Pass description does not mention them.

So, went to buy the game today and inside the case came a Code for the prestige pack (9 cars). Amazing! :)

No pre-order needed. I'm going through the career mode now and I'm loving it.

Not me. I just drove Portimao, Bilster Berg and Tsukuba a couple of hours ago. All three were totally fine. Have you checked your log? In case you're not familiar, the next time you try to open a mod track, if it kicks you back to the menu or something, stop what you're doing, cause I'm about to ruin...I mean, open the file log.txt which can be found in: C:\Users\{your PC acct name}\Documents\Assetto Corsa\logs and scroll all the way down to the very bottom. Then start slowly scrolling up until you see the errors. If you still need help after that, I'll do what I can.

That thing is so light it's ridiculous. Add in a boatload of downforce AND slicks and that thing is going to be glued to the ground. I need to take it to Spa...Thanks for the tip!
 
What's the deal with these limited first print copies sold in Germany? I haven't heard of such copies being sold in other countries.

They're probably leftover Prestige editions which they didn't sell as preorders.

Notice how the paper inside the case says "erstauflage" and not prestige. Would they go through so much trouble just to get all codes out to customers? This would require repackaging after all and it's still early days. I think prestige leftovers will just end up on store shelves.

I have no idea to be honest. But when I went to the PS Store, the code gave me the "Prestige" DLC.

Looks like a limited edition for Germany... Would like to know if there's something similar for the XBox and in other countries.

With v1.8 (PC) I finally like the post processing result enough to drive with it turned on. For me it seems crisper and the "natural" filter setting (which I think is new?) gives a better lighting result than default or movie to me.

i had a quick go with the 488 and it's a lot of fun, although the fact that it comes with hypercar road tyres (instead of road & semi-slicks like other supercars) makes direct comparison with the 458 trickier than I would have liked. I guess the idea is to compare it with the Aventador and Huayra instead :D
 
Natural has been there for as long as I can remember. It's the one I use.
Ah ok, then I must have disliked the colour palette with it before. As of now, default seems too overly bright and saturated, whereas natural works well in cockpit and in replays.
