I really hope we get a Ferrari F430 or F430 Scuderia. That's been one of my favorite road cars from Ferrari since its inception. Putting things up to a vote should be interesting. I really don't feel like reading it all again, but I wonder if Kunos hit all of their 2016 targets in last year's State of the Kunos Address? I'm not judging them...just curious. Obviously it was a fantastic year for Kunos & Assetto Corsa even with the console release issues. I know that I couldn't be happier as a supporter.

2015 And Beyond!

I like Lake Louise as well, like you driving road cars on it, mostly staying in my lane as well, like driving irl. I had no idea about the personal drama.
 That's exactly what I do! Right on... 👍 Maybe one day we get a bunch of us for a nice cruising session, with a little leap froggin' every now and then.
BAC Mono and Caterham SP300/R please
Must attack Nordschleife!

I didn't really know anything about this car until I started playing GT6. Then I read a bit about it. I love the design of this Ferrari.

I hope this relationship continues for a long, long time. Of course, I don't want the sole focus to be Porsche - not by a long shot - but I hope that in time we can get a few of the older 911s, older GT2s & GT3s and the 959 would be a great driving buddy for the F40. 👍

Definitely want that Ferrari. Please classic Ferraris. Give us ones not in other games.

However, hearing 7 more Ferraris are on the way is brilliant news. Being able to vote for the cars we want from Ferrari seems odd though.

It sure is brilliant news. As I've said before, Ferrari in AC needs a fresh injection after the great Porsche lineup. Letting the fans vote probably means that Ferrari told Kunos that they can take whatever cars they need.

Great news indeed. I recently bought the season pass (PS4). Soon for the PP2 and RP2. Do we already know anything about the upcoming cars as mentioned in the blog. Will these be sold seperately or via season pass?
Anyhow excellent racing sim. Best handling!

Some more 2017 information leaked:

I already own Assetto and Season passes on PS4 and PC. If this video above is true (I can't read the language, but going by what it shows), then I'll be buying it on XboxOne and keeping my PlayStation Plus subscription. Kunos really taking Assetto not just to another level, but another planet entirely. A planet where I don't even need Ferraris.

It's going to sound dumb, but I'm glad they're talking about the 787B again. (just the impatience in me )

The possible voting thing could be interesting, those of us who helped Reiza know that's going to be a double-edge sword either way, you can never please everyone...

Talk of an 'Endurance' layout for this Scotland track is... not sure how to word it :odd:, P1-class tires and such aren't exactly street-oriented, so wonder what exactly will come there.

It's very feasible that the 4 layouts don't even overlap. The cobble stones could be only in the road layout, not the ones intended for racing...

I'm going to assume the voting will work the same way it did years ago for Turn 10's "Forzalopnik" content: a bunch of T10- (or in this case, Kunos-)approved selections are put to a vote. They'll already know they have access to the cars before any users vote.

They could allow write-ins, but it'd make for some awkwardness when/if they can't obtain a specific car.

It'll be interesting to see how the game grows on consoles this year. There's going to be a lot of competition in that arena.

Yeah, but it's not compareable to games like Forza or Gran Turismo as they do not have the large budget backing from Microsoft Studios nor Sony.

There are many car we'll like to see in the game, but it's a matter of budget and also a matter of whether or not a manufactuer want to be affiliated with the game. Considering that makes like Ferrari are already featured in the game, and Kunos being an italian dev, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle, but ultimately I feel like it's going to take while.
We're still waiting for some big mods to be licensed in the game from Mazda, Audi and Toyota. But if they're able to keep up the pace with licensing big manufacturers for the game I have no doubts that Kunos and Assetto Corsa will be able to hold it's place, especially since they're still holding a somewhat niché and special place in the simulation market on the PC and especially on the console market.

Agreed, we'll probably get a set selection to pick from and the top seven make it in the game.

Fingers are crossed for Radical, Ariel, BAC and Caterham in the British Pack.
Assuming 7 cars in the pack:

McLaren: there's the 540C, 570S, 650S, 675LT, P1 GTR, and all those F1 cars from the last 40 years. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_Automotive
Lotus is much broader, since there are still a vast number of Classic Lotus options and on into their trackday and road cars. Of their current range the Evora 410, Exige 350 and 3-11 (road or race) are logical updates to the current selection, as of course is the Evora GT4 to be properly BoP balanced to the Cayman and Maserati.

Besides those two, we could even hope for Jaguar, Bentley or Aston Martin to be added to AC. That would probably be a lot more exciting for AC fans even though less realistic.

The truth is that Lotus was one of the earliest signings for AC and I'm sure Kunos have a long standing agreement to add new cars as time passes: I expect the 3-11 and possibly the Evora 410 or GT4. McLaren's 675LT and 570S would both be awesome, the P1 GTR would balance the FXXK (although it's clearly slower). I am going to temper my expectations of the pack expanding much beyond that.

P.S. The place to be for British sports cars of all types is pCARS. Expect pCARS 2 to strengthen their U.K. car selection beyond the already impressive first release (Ginetta, Aston, Bentley, Ariel, BAC, Caterham, Radical and Classic Lotus were all present in force and were expanded in the DLC).

P.P.S. iRacing just emailed their own Porsche announcement. I guess 1 Jan 2017 (Stuttgart time) really was the start of Porsche no longer being exclusive to EA? https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/porsche-its-coming.352503/#post-11659327

It seems Porsche isn't a Kunos exclusive any more with iRacing getting in on the action too..
It was always going to happen. Kunos carefully worded their announcement as "Assetto Corsa will be the only sim to feature Porsche in 2016". That tells you everything. iRacing and PCars2 are both going to feature the greatness of Porsche and hopefully GT Sport will get them too.

It was never about exclusivity anyway. It was about being the first "proper simulator" with Porsches in a long time.

Also, don't forget that there's the partnership between Kunos and Porsche which, in theory, should give the edge to them in providing the most accurate experience for Porsche cars.

Ahh yes! I love Lake Louise. I have the full 50km map. That's a lot of fun to drive with street legal cars. I suppose it could be fun with race cars too, on certain sections, but I've never tired. You're correct about it being removed...from what I have heard, the creator of Lake Louise is getting away from gaming for the foreseeable future and he doesn't want to feel obligated to support it, so he took it down.

The creator also has a public personal blog online. Someone posted a link to it on RD. There were several entries about being in love with a girl who lives somewhere in the US while he in a Canadian citizen who lives quite a long way from the border. He was debating leaving his job, which sounded like he was making six-figures, to move closer to her but still staying in Canada. Eventually he did leave his job and was in the process of moving, however, I don't think it worked out with that girl -- I could be wrong. It was actually pretty depressing to read. I truly felt bad for him. And then the postings stopped. Hopefully he is doing alright... :ouch:

Oh wow, that sounds pretty bad. I hope he sorts it out eventually because it's quite a loss for the modding community :( Still, he could've just left the file on RD and put "Updates Pending" or something instead of taking it all away. Do you know any place where I can still get the full 50km map?

I was hoping for a more detailed content road-map. However, hearing 7 more Ferraris are on the way is brilliant news. Being able to vote for the cars we want from Ferrari seems odd though.

Where is the voting going to be? In the official forums?

When that British Pack is announced, if there isn't a McLaren F1 (Street) in that list, whoa boy...I hope everybody's hungry because I'm going to be serving a whole lot of knuckle sandwiches that day!

Well, since he's pulled the mod from Race Department I see no reason why people should feel obligated to pay for it. You couldn't even if you wanted to. He's even taken down the server so I wouldn't be able to re-download my copy if I were to lose it during a crash or something. I'll PM you the link to my Mega folder with the 50Km layout zipped.

for the British Pack
Lotus 3-Eleven
McLaren 570S
McLaren P1 GTR
are already confirmed cars
hope for 675LT, 570S GT4/Sprint, 570GT and Evora GT4

Another thing I would love would be the confirmation of a license for Aston Martin!
One can wish

Bah that is really a boring choice, do we need more lotuses right now?

I understand the 570s but do we need more lotuses right now or even the P1 GTR?
Like Kembro already stated in his wish, we need more of the true British car philosophy of small and light fun cars like Radical, Caterham, Ariel and Bac. That would be fun to have in AC. But I guess that is something Lotus does not wish so it probably will not happen...(cynical me)
A JAG like xj220 or Etype or something like that would be awesome too, why more of the same like with the P1 GTR

I would like to announce that I just finished a grueling 12 lap race at Barcelona (Moto) running the 2017 911 GT3 Cup car. It was your fabled hero against 13 AI swine. I started in 10th place by choice as I felt it would be uncouth to humiliate all 13 AI drivers on the Lord's Day. The race started without much excitement, however, the same can not be said about the final lap. For I, your beloved warrior in the dashing yellow #12 Sony Porsche was in a wheel to wheel battle with that lone AI vermin, fighting with all of my skill to gain and then keep position!! Alas, 'twas not meant to be...for I finished in last place. The AI vermin finished in 13th. Freakin' jerk.
