FOV, Marco mentioned in the comments on that clip in reply to someone about the FOV he was using "the good thing is everyone can set it as he likes, including me", well not including me, so i hope he understands us console peasants need to be included too.

I really wish we could get the seat adjustments.

Yeah we really need both of these. It would really improve things for many of us.

On a weird bonus of not having more adjustment.. I am back to playing Dirt Rally on PS4 and the FOV using the Dash Cam does not seem so bad anymore. It seems to be rather close to what AC is at 50deg.

I had the reverse when I went from pCARS to Dirt Rally.. I ran a low FOV on pCARS so Dirt Rally seemed the FOV was too wide and made the road look narrow.

Sucks you guys don't get those adjustments, for whatever reason. That was one of my favorite things about moving to PC, to be able to fully adjust my seat position and FOV to get things just right. That being said, I find myself using bumper cam or the dashcam most of the time any more. Dashcam actually is just about perfect on my setup now and doesn't feel quite as claustrophobic as cockpit cam, the sense of speed seems much better too. Here's what it looks like.

It should update each sector. I notice that on mine I think

I think there are different ones

I swore I'd stop looking at NSFW content at work and then you post this.

Short (really short) video of the new track. Looks like a good road to do some cruising, and it's not as wide as a freeway like BCC. (You may need to click the gear to get it in 1080, it defaults to lo-res for me)

Getting so much Driveclub vibes from this. I could almost hear "Be Here Now" by Hybrid playing in the background ;)

On the topic of soundtracks, has there been any word from Kunos of making the console menu musics publicly available? When driving I tend not to use BGM, but AC's menus on PC could use some background accompaniment.

Mmm!

I picked up AC and the season pass over a month ago when they were on sale and finally got around to trying the game two nights ago (if that gives you an idea of how much free time I have). I only had about an hour with the game and didn't bother setting up my G29 so I tried out the DS4. The game felt great out of the box with the controller, I didn't touch any settings at all.

I first tried the Alfa 155 DTM car at Brands Hatch for about 10 laps. Then I wanted to try a road car so I went with the MX-5 ND at Nurb GP. Finally, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with Porsche and gave the Cayman GT4 a whirl at Spa.

My initial reaction, especially in the Alfa, was the sounds. Coming from GT, the sounds are so much better and it really is mind boggling how PD can't match what Kunos have achieved in AC. The Alfa was great to drive with manageable throttle oversteer. The MX-5 was sublime and in a few laps I could even make it drift a little when I wanted. The Cayman, however, just felt like loads of understeer. Almost every corner was a challenge but I loved the interior of that car and that may have been the first video game rendition of a Porsche I have driven since... High Stakes? The PS2 game from like '99.

I rarely ever race with a controller so I can't even comment on physics but I enjoyed my first hour with the game. Hopefully I can find more time soon and try it with the wheel.
I'm glad you had fun with the controller, but once you start playing with the G29 I think you will find an entirely new appreciation for the game. Playing a racing game should only be done with a steering wheel & pedals, in my opinion. You'll feel like you just went from playing a game to actually driving a car.

Thanks, I turned off TC and left ABS on "factory."
I keep both ABS & TC set to Factory. I occasionally will turn ABS off on a modern car that comes with ABS, but not often. Traction Control is something I like to mess around with, so I'd rather have it set to Factory and then just cycle with CTRL+T while on the race track if I want to turn it off or adjust it's strength.

 Poor fence!
Imagine if you were sitting there before and went to get a hotdog and came back and were like, 'so what did I miss?'
 That cracked me up.

This motivates me so much to tweak my rig, It's really needing an update. You have an awsome setup mate, really jealous.

Thanks. Mine was in desperate need of some major tweaking (had been for a couple years) and had gotten so bad that sitting in it was kind of depressing. Now it's quite the opposite, I find myself flipping the light on when I walk by that room just so I can stare at it. :dopey:

I took a walk on The Dark Side... and decided to stay. Have AC now for PC. I was able to save FOV/seat position globally. I did not find an option to save setting per car. Is that possible?
I think adjusting the FOV ingame (screen above) affects the FOV you choose in the menu, so that's a general setting.

The fov changing app you get when you find on the right side of the screen is per car.

Well I lied a bit fov itself is global, but the seat position/forward/backward/up/down per car and will not alter/change when changing it in a different car. the FOV will though.
Ah ok, well it's pretty logical FOV would be a global setting.

Maybe if he is using the camera without the wheel, then I guess changing fow is pretty annoying especially if he sits very close to the monitor because he uses his own ffb wheel as the "real steering wheel") as it seems you cant change the seat position at all in that view.

I had to remove the wheel/driver and use the proper interior where you can alter the seat position.

I didn't even know that 👍
For realsies? :P That app is so crucial to me.

@OooAhh Cantona - The app "Onboard Settings" does save seat position for each and every car that you have installed. You'll see "global setting" above FoV, so that's not on a per-car basis.

All of those individual driver positions are saved in:

C:\Users\Chris\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\cars\

Each car has it's own sub-folder:

C:\Users\Chris\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\cars\ktm_xbow_r

You don't really need to know where the files are placed right now...but in case you ever have to re-install AC, you might want to backup certain folders.

If you're feeling particularly saucy and you'd like to have more "developer apps" available to you in-game, just navigate to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg

There will be a file named: assetto_corsa.ini

Open that file and make sure there is a 1 after ENABLE_DEV_APPS=
It should look like:

[AC_APPS]
ENABLE_DEV_APPS=1

Those Dev Apps are many various Telemetry / Real-Time data tools. Probably nothing you'll be interested in for a while, but you never know, so I thought I would throw that out there. 👍

Perfect! That's good enough for me. I would happily adjust FOV each time, knowing my seat position is saved. 👍
