Warrius, since you're on PC and console is the Force Feedback detail the same in both platforms or was this such rubbish on the Assetto Corsa forum I had read? Some saying finer forces were missing on the console when driving...

I've got both versions and I use the same wheel on both (G29) with the same overall settings and they feel the same. If anyone is detecting a difference the only think I could put that down to is the individual car feedback settings that are not available on console. Since I don't use that on PC I wouldn't know.

Might have been some of the antagonising ones. Its hard at times to keep track of those who are truthful versus those who want to stir up trouble.

To me the FFB feels different, there is more feedback overall on the PC version.
using a T500 RS Wheel

The PC has one extra slider that the PS4 doesn't have: I forgot the term but it's a 'forces smoothing' slider.

To me the FFB feels the same, at least in essence. There are differences in force (42% on PS4 and 92% on PC to have a similar feeling) but could it be driver (the software, not the person) related?

Things may also differ depending on the wheel...

An interesting 7:24 minute video.

Here we have a comparison of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport on Silverstone (real life) versus the Professional Racing Simulator of GTS-RS Racing Simulation. I'm sure you can guess what software powers their racing simulator. :D

The driver of both the real car and the simulator provides commentary while driving each:

There is also a followup discussion video with the driver & someone from GTS-RS Racing Simulation:

It's no surprise that the driver doesn't claim anything ridiculous like, "I can't even tell the difference!!" I don't think anyone in their right mind would believe that, however, he does make some interesting & complimentary statements regarding the accuracy of the racing sim.

They must have found a way to hack the "simulation value" in the simulator:lol:.

Also remember that the placebo effect slider needs to be increased any time a change is made to simulation value. ;)
I'm curious. If one maxes out the placebo slider and the simulation value slider, will your head explode?

No, nothing like that, but your perception of how a SIM should behave is forever altered, I hear that is how the guy who started PRC got the idea to start his blog.

@Orayani not all iracing guy do not like AC, but like within AC and all other SIM you will always find some who have to denigrate the other SIM to feel better about their choice. Most people like them all and prefer one for whatever reason.

This is a bit of a generalization, but it seems like a lot of people who like one sim hate any other sim. And yes, a lot of iRacing and rF2 fans seem to especially hate AC.

This is simply the human race... they hate everything except THEIR thing. Fanboy outrage everywhere.

Yep, it's exactly the same with politics, religion, sports, beer, the list goes on. You'd think by now we'd have outgrown this behavior, but if anything we seem to be doubling-down on it instead.

I am totally new to all of this so excuse me if this is dumb, but is the update that was supposed to have the Audi Quattro in it?

The next PC update will likely have the Audi, will probably be a while longer before our console cousins get it.
