I was left speechless with that Dubai track. Literally, I could not finish a single lap, I had to quit and save it for later.

I have lately developed a new mental state: the mod guilt. Too much awesome content coming up so fast that I have began to feel guilt for not being able to give anything back for this community.

Released April 2020 into a strange, strange world.
- Converted from GRID Autosport by ACU
- AI, track limits etc by Liquid Sky Man
- Water, lights, shader tweak config by Sliderman
- Choppers and dynamic balloons by Mascot (blimp model by LilSki/TBerg)
- Testing by the team above plus Fanapryde
Check Race Department, F1C and GT Planet for updates to the track and billboard skins, configs, balloons etc.
To do: animated flags/trees, audio reverb, animated track objects.

I'm quite happy and impressed with this port. By myself on my garbage computer it has a smooth framerate despite the complexity of the map and it is very fun to drive.

Even in a race with my GRiD inspired...

I think the AI could still use a little work when it comes to navigating parts of the track. My McLaren became a part of a car sandwich in the first corner.

Ok and for anyone else curious, create a folder and a blank file inside the car folder called extension/ext_config.ini

Insert these lines:

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
FILE=XXXXX.kn5
HIDE=YYYYYY

Change XXXXX.kn5 to the car filename, change YYYYYY to whatever the rollcage object is called. I haven't tried that car so I cannot tell you I'm afraid, CM Showroom can help you with that 👍

So much good stuff going on here. With a 20 car field it runs around 50fps so good enough for me to race on and still enjoy, even if I did spend 2 or 3 laps at walking pace ogling at all the off track details. Awesome work guys :cheers:
There are a few more in the pipes... but they might take a while. Hopefully not as long as this one did..!
 
That's why different bands. One a lot of original, the other a tribute band.

Beezer, What are your settings for the smoke? Mine, with latest CSP looks very basic. Thank you.

Exactly, since updating, I have almost no smoke, but all kinds of debris and grass. It would be nice to have the smoke back.

Hi all, new here to gtplanet, long time assetto corsa lover. Reached out to masscot and he redirected me here. Does anyone happen to have this version of sonoma i can download? Any help would be appreciated!
 
Newbie here. Trying to track down all of the ACC conversions to make a modern GT3 field. So far I have found the Vette, Ferrari, Honda, Lexus, McLaren and Mercedes. I am using the RSS M6 for the BMW. Am I missing any other ACC conversions? Are there ones out there for the Audi, Nissan, Vantage, etc.?

Not asking for anyone to tell me where I can download these cars if they exist, but i'd like to know if they are available so I don't waste time searching for them if they don't exist. Thanks for any help...

Adjust the final drive ratio of a car by unpacking the car's data using content manager and then opening and finding the line in the drivetrain.ini file.

A higher value is lower top speed and quicker acceleration, while a lower value is higher top speed and slower acceleration.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that touching that stuff will make it impossible to connect with other people driving the same car online. So don't touch the Kunos cars or download Car Tuner and make duplicates if you're going to edit final drive ratios.

Is anyone working on a proper Kart mod or im going to have to buy KartKraft? im not sure about the physics, ive seen some retarded overturns on there but it looks great.. i mean this is nonsense

 
Long time lurker, first time poster. But to answer this, yes these works are stolen and sold for a profit.

So a question on this actually, I work closely with the guys at iDT in the past and have communication iDT Doug. Doug and myself are pretty much the only people left. None of us have any AC modding experience. SimDream has ignored the take down orders of the 1994-1995 CART mod. Does some one out there happen to have this mod so that we can officially provide a free download?

Shouldn't the entire thing be encouraged to be posted all over the place if anything? If the original authors released it for free, then it should remain for free.

Update to the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider for use with the Touring Car Legends Pack:
Body stance even better, further work on physics and handling, a little more grip and better tires to allow for harder driving without having to fight the car every ten seconds. Minor fixes here and there. (Gave it a smidge more power)
This is the whole car. Overwrite files it asks for.


This car is not going to be the fastest car of the bunch. It is not a Mustang, nor a Porsche 911. The car isn't going to win on big tracks with long straights, however, it can win on tight small tracks without a doubt. Great addition to the pack even if only used for an AI fill but I think it drives even better now.


IMO, you nailed it. The transmition, when we push the revs and engage up gear, make the car doing that little jump, its fantastic.
Overall one of my prefered cars so far. And I have 3676 atm. :cheers:

I fooled around with it for a minute, honestly, I couldn't get the smoke like that picture. I think it was a version of CSP in the past that allowed that. If I remember correctly it was when they introduced "new smoke" and it was outrageous. Way overboard and that's when people were taking these pictures of wacky smoke shots.

That's all there is although you won't find a Corvette in ACC. The others will show up sooner or later.

Just go into drivetrain.ini and change the final ratio value. After that put a semicolon ; and then put the original version behind that to save the value. Use your new version whenever you want, change it back to the original when you go online.

That Sonoma is in here still. Search for Sonoma.

There's a kart being worked on by Beto that I'm interested in when he finishes it. I believe it's a superkart.
I worked on some karts, AC can make a passable kart but it's not designed to simulate them. I posted a link to a kart 100 and a track bundle a while back. The problem with the karts is that it takes the AI about 10 seconds to get going for whatever reason. You have to start in the back and let them go before you start. Once they get going though you can have some good races.

Found link. I have the Kart 100 uploaded. Can;t remember if I also did the 125 and the shifter but the ini's would be fairly similar other than power and a little weight.
 
Tony B had a 250 SuperKart but fell by the side because of physics (nice model though). Reality is, AC cant simulate a solid axle (maybe thats changed now) but more importantly, it cant simulate chassis flex or torsion bars.

The 250 SuperKart in AMS2 is a fun drive but its still in early access stage so physics aren't done and the kart itself isn't finished yet.
 
Has anybody found any skins for the Ferrari F50 GT1? I've searched the webs and have come up shy.

I second this. Someone needs to either find one or make one because I've been dying to get that car into a racing livery for forever now. The body comes in several parts though, so making a skin would probably be a nightmare.
