Nice to see the Senna GTR in AC but this mod definitely needs new physics. Handling is... Quite special to say the least.

Hmmm. Personally, I prefer mod cars that actually bear some relationship to the capabilities of real cars and the physics of the 'real world'. I think there's quite a few young modders out there who probably haven't even got their driver's licence yet and don't have the faintest idea just how crazy their creations are.

Hmm... I've been waiting for a Senna GTR to come to Assetto Corsa, but from the sounds of it, this particular one isn't really worth bothering with due to the unrealistic physics. Pardon me if I sound like a modding noob (because I... am...), but would it be possible to transplant the physics (suspension? aero?) from another mod, such as one of the regular Sennas? Even if one only does this as a starting point?

Yes you could do all that.

For me, there's no need for any more 'hypercars' like this though. And the Senna is just so Fugly. Besides that, I don't actually find things like this fun to drive in any way. I much prefer the era when cars weren't just hyperballistic computer-aided spaceships.

Curious on which people prefer. The FM7 Le Mans or the one by jim lloyd and Terra21 up on RD?

The FM7 one is a lot more accurate compared to the Terra 21 version. Terra did a great job at bringing it up to date, but there's a lot of the base layout thats unfortunately wrong. The FM7 version has made me stop working on mine. I can't compete with that amout of detail singlehandedly with the time I have. I may try and roll mine back to suit the 2006 version before they replaced the sand with the stripes..... but I just dont know when Ill be back on it. I got a so many gimme gimme emails and PMs (some of them quite rude) and it basically made me fall out of love with the project.

On the plus side, Im loving the Grid LMP and GT pack! I have a couple of updates im working on, just bhp and torque changes to a few cars and some grid fillers like the 908 (with skins) and the Euskadi (which is basically the same as the GTR2 version, a 908 body with different physics).... still doing a bit of testing, but will try and release something this coming weekend for you guys to comment on. I'm not a skinner or a physics guy, but I am trying, so cant promise itll be any good yet, but I ran a 2.5 hr race at Le Mans last night and it was one of the best races I've ever had in AC.....you guys can decide.

Okay, I didn't know, they asked me to test this version last week that some adjustments had been made, I tested it, but as I mentioned earlier, the same problem persisted in some curves. As I saw the video, I thought there was some correction. No problem waiting, if you can help with something, just say so.
yeah I'm looking at this one also among a few other tracks, it will be a few days yet. trying some things out with the limit lines. lots of trial and error, that's why it takes a while to get it right :-)

He is more accurate for the actual Layout, Terra21 is the 91-96 layout which was much more pure and technical, first part is better
Terra did 2 versions. The 91-96 version from VLM that was originally from rFactor and a modern one that was converted with Jim Lloyd. The latter is the least accurate as they were working with a base version that was wrong.

Does anyone klnow if there is an AI update for the FM7 version? The AI are a bit slow through the Porsche Curves and brake right in the middle of the last apex.

I could take a look at that, but it won't be for at least a week maybe, got a lot of other tracks in my que to work on 1st  :banghead:

If anyone else is going to look/work on this B4 I do, please let me know and I'll leave it alone.

Yes, let me save you some trouble. If you're a member of any Facebook modding groups whatsoever then he won't let you join. He came on here a while back to quite literally boast that we weren't able to download his mods, then went on a sweary rant for no real reason, seemed a nice chap
thanks mate ,i dont know what caused to have this behavior, but i heard he has great mods thats all, since they are free i guess ,if anyone has them can please share them here ?

Great drive! I know you said on discord the steering would be light and you were not kidding. On a personal level it feels a bit to light to me but of course I have never driven one. In the real would with g forces probably not as big an issue but in the virtual world a bit more feel would be helpful. But I still had a blast.

Thank you! :)
Yes, steering is light for me too, but I always try to stay with what I read/listen in car reviews.

Give me and VRC 5 months. I commissioned them to build the track with my guidance. Full detail and driveable paddock. Stay tuned :)
Hi !

How did you "commissioned" the VRC modding team !?
I confess I'm very curious about the situation you wrote here.

I'm not aware where do you come from and who are you (You may be a "celebrity" in the AC modding but I'm not on Facebook, Discord or other things, so in case, all my apologies for my ignorance) but I still definitely astonished by your mysterious persuasion strength to involve an entire team for a mysterious track project ?

Cheers. ;)
Which track?
Yes, It will be interesting... definitely !

My apologies, but to be clear, I meant it was the same car model itself. Even the main KN5 still has the same file name, but if you want more proof, just look at the included paints. The same 3 included with the SVRA are there, and the rest don't quite fit the car correctly (but close enough). It's because those ones were made for the R-Gruppe, also from Mac Ten, which is another modified model of essentially the same car. I get that the data and some parts have changed, and to be honest, I actually do prefer this new version.

True, the bodies are swap-able. I liked the SVRA car (which has altogether different handling) because it feels more like the way the 911 I drove in the Trans-Am series half a lifetime ago than any other Porsche I've ever driven in Assetto Corsa. The new car, with physics by the great Bazza von Dutch, feels almost too good to be true.

Check out driver3d.ini.
Look at INVERT_SHIFTING_HANDS=
Invert shifting hand doesn't work most of the time, it translates the animation to an arm that doesn't support it.
Thank you both.
In this case simply changing the value in driver3d.ini actually did the trick. However, as a smaller detail the right hand doesn't really get close enough to the shifter. Is there a way to adjust that so the hand actually reaches the shifter? I know, I'm OCD:ill:
