I renamed the ext_config file of the track extension folder to singapore_2020 then I copied this singapore_2020 file in extension> config> track
Is it this ?
Yep, that worked for me, at least it should look like this: singapore_2020.ini (don't forget the .ini part)

For all the tracks that have been worked on (and that not everybody has), I always place the .ini files in "tracks", NOT in loaded.
This to prevent getting overwritten when somebody makes a new ini file for the track without changes.
Tracks has priority over Loaded, so this will not happen unwanted...

When I make personalized changes, I prefer to make an extension folder directly within the track folder (ie /assettocorsa/content/tracks/track_name/extension) and save the config as ext_config.ini as that will take priority over the other 2 locations.

Think it is more related to a car than the track.

It works now!

I forgot the .ini (sorry, I'm in the learning phase ...)

On the other hand, if I drive at night, I have no track lighting (just one or two illuminated advertisements) and I have the car lights off and it is impossible for me to turn them on ... ??

Indeed: priority ranking:
1: track folder
2: /assettocorsa/extension/config/tracks
3: /assettocorsa/extension/config/tracks/loaded

Just finished a skin for the Toyota GT86 which can be found here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...eral-discussion.307899/page-965#post-13059602
This skin is based on the Speedhunters MAXIMUM ATTACK SEMA design and features the classic TRD stripes that we all know.
Grab it here https://mega.nz/file/fTIn0KQC#9acoLNTYyUXVWpTIYOVPqR3LuvVXtxtRAWSdUzrWehA
I'll try and do something a little more race inspired next time.

I assume you are using CSP (Custom Shaders Patch) ?
It should at least look like this:

Yes, I have CSP.

I tried to adjust BLM Light but I get this message:
"no light was set for this track"

Is it normal that the menu of the ACU version offers "Singapore GP day" and "Singapore GP Night" when Singapore Grand Prix 2020 does not offer it?

Think it is more related to a car than the track.
And I think you might be right.
First time I tried after the .ini file replacement, all went well, but that was with another car.
When I took the BAC Mono, the issue was there again.
Tried some other cars: no issue.

Strange that the BAC is the one causing this, since it is by far my most used (over 11.000 km) and has covered ALL my tracks as it is my 'benchmark' car. Never had problems with it whatsoever...

Edit: got the same issue with the VUHL now too... :boggled:

Day/Night-specific layouts are no longer required because of Sol or CSP's own weather system. Just set the clock and drive.

This is awesome! Love the retro vibe! Thanks dude!! 👍

You should have lights by jk (237 lights iirc).
@Patrick Ellis answered the second part already.

I changed my car and the problem is still there (I had set the time correctly)

The only lights (which work very well) are the animated light advertisements.

This is the first time I have encountered this problem with night lighting without the possibility of adjustments with BLM Light

While we are at it... for some reason your "driver_open_face" model produces some shadows on the gloves. Are you aware of this issue?

Yes, I think all my driver hacks suffer that, I can't tell exactly what is going wrong but suspect working in 3DSimEd and Blender is incompatible with the driver models.

Does anyone know of any sim or mod for this bastardized version of Spa?

I'm surprised I haven't had a go at that yet.

Thanks man
I wanted to keep it looking clean and uncluttered so I only put a few of the sponsors on but I think it turned out really well. Those stripes and colours are nearly as iconic as the Martini colours :D

But not as iconic as Gulf! :sly:

Jokes aside, I have seen that scheme a few times before, but not as nearly much as Martini and Gulf. It does look great though! Honestly, it's probably the only skin I'll be using on the GT86 moving forward. The voices in my head told me to take it to the historic Silverstone layout. A photographer from the era caught this snapshot. Something so wrong but so right about this

Nothing is as iconic as Gulf..although @Elio92 might disagree and say Martini is more iconic but who are we to argue about it - all I know is they all look great on cars.

That pic is Epic. I love it

Hi
The first plan was only integrate day and night, but plan changed somehow..

singapore_2020 1.0
Marina bay street circuit

This track requires stFlow shader and ksPerPixelMultiMap emissive shader.
stFlow shader
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/stflow-shader.23999/
PerPixelMultiMap with Emissive map
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/perpixelmultimap-with-emissive-map.22791/

If play is heavy, I'd like you to turn off some lights material and animations.
I didn't understand adjustment because appearance has changed a lot at new CSP version.
I'm testing by using __sol_ACC ppfilter with very strong glare changes.

Whew! If you guys havent given this a go yet...do it!! The nighttime scene with the chopper flying around is epic. I'm getting about 110fps at night, im scared to see what would happen in a race though lol thanks so much

I think for those having trouble with black screens, freezing seemingly on certain tracks is probably just finding a correlation but it is surely not about the track itself; There shouldn't even be anything in a track capable of effing up your system.

For me and others I have spoken with at work, if you are on Nvidia GPU, the whole of the 4XX.XX series of drivers have been awfully unstable. I don't know if there is any particular wizardry that CSP is pulling that might cause them to **** the bed more than usual but I know that for me, lockups and driver crashes are something happening not only occasionally with AC but also in other 3D applications / games. I had it with AMS2 this morning.

I have 2 systems at home and admin some others- all NVidia GPU, some old, some new.

Of my home systems, the newest one has had a fresh windows install this week, migrating to enterprise. Still having driver issues now and again if I use any of the later 4XX.XX. Reinstalling GPU drivers loves to **** with my audio setups as they always decide I want HDMI audio enabled again and then Windows ***** the bed regarding my other devices because Windows is persistently ****ing awful.

Anyway in general, nothing too deadly for me if it does lock up--

I usually either use second monitor, or if unable, blindly navigate to the the very handy driver restart utility included in 'Custom Resolution Utility' here: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU.
Pinning the restart64.exe to start menu is handy for easy access.

That is more thorough than windows own method but if it's really locked up and navigation is difficult, Win+Ctrl+Shift+B forces Windows to restart the graphics driver then using the restart64.exe utility after I have regained control fixes any lingering issues there might be.

I will stop rambling now as I am on my phone and should get back to my (very rare for me) drinking session, not sure what prompted me to bother writing this boring mess..

..Carry on chaps.

Edit: I never realised GTPlanet was so linguistically prudish. Can we not use the naughty adult words on here?

Yeh, it is a **** the bed damn issue. ;)

Hey guys.....quick question : In Neil's huge WEC pack he put up , there is a file called "quickdrive " and inside are a bunch of CMPRESET files......where should I put these?

Edit: I figured it out.

Now included in the pack. But still suffers from the broken textures/shadows/normals? on the suit and gloves.

I've sorted out the problem, using CM to convert the driver model to .fbx rather than 3DSimED.
I will now have to go through and fix all my other hacked drivers.

This is the first time I have encountered this problem with night lighting without the possibility of adjustments with BLM Light

Billboard backlight is turning on from the beginning for 24hours.
So That's no problem:)

careful procedure is..
1. check "ext_config.ini" of filesize 21461byte in "content/tracks/singapore_2020/extension/"
(there are ext_config.ini 1file + other 2file in folder)
2. check singapore_2020.ini is not in "extension/config/tracks/"
3. copy as it is "ext_config.ini" to "extension/config/tracks/"
4. go "extension/config/tracks/" and ext_config.ini rename to singapore_2020.ini

If there is no ini-file for lighting, light doesn't turn on.

Ah ah ah mate ! ^^

My "iconics" could be yours in some way because you seem a racing history lover... who's deeply in Love with GULF (for me It's John Wyer in priority, who else !? ^^) !

So in my heart by preferences with cars manufacturers :
- Martini (Porsche with all the Prototypes) also and obviously Lancia (with the rally cars, I have a particular crush for the Lancia 037), last on the Ford Focus (Rally),
- John Player Special (in F1 with Lotus),
- Marlboro (in F1 with BRM and McLaren),
- Rothmans (in all racing cars),
- Gulf (with Porsche Prototypes),
- Yardley (in F1 with BRM & McLaren, particulary the M19),
- Pennzoil (in CART and other racing cars),
- Valvoline (in CART and other racing cars),
- Castrol (rally cars).

It's non exhaustive, They are simply my favorites.

Sorry for the OT !

Take care and stay safe. ;)

EDIT
Obviously and for the young generations, RedBull will still an iconic one !
