guys I have long had a problem, or rather, I noticed it during the replays.
the animations of the pilots up to a certain point of the framing distance are still, then approaching depending on the framing, they start moving their head and arms again ....
the ugliest thing to see is in the open wheels, because sometimes the driver's head is higher than it should.
has anyone solved or has the same problem?

Has anyone used the 'AC Friends' LMP1 cars? How do they compare to... let's say GTP's releases?

View attachment 963149

they are rubbish, their lmp2 cars drive better than their lmp1, plus the ginetta, dallara, rebellion, and bykolles lmp1 cars sound the same which is wrong

I'm just going to say this isn't the "Ginetta" the RWD from PC1 + 2? Cause if so why would they use the RWD as the Ginetta when velo has a WIP of the Ginetta coming. Plus wouldn't that be the first-ever RWD LMP 1 mod that came to AC? If so then where the hell is the marek? IMHO they'd be fun to add into the LMP1 and LMP2 roster (loved driving them in the PC games especially on number 2)

The Fiat Panda 900 i.e. interiors are almost done... It misses just the ashtray (but remember... smoking while drivin' won't be allowed :P)
Next step will be a HUGE WORK on the textures (ambient occlusion, bump map, etc)... I hope to give you a "beta" version by the end of October.

The early 2000s were 👍 with car designs IMO. Like early 2000s cars more than 90S cars lol.

I say again. It is out not only in Pa thing.

Come on mate, be a man and say something like "you're right" or "I was wrong". It won't hurt.
Seriously, no offense at you, nothing personal really, but I don't want to suggest anybody this is a free shareable track. There is a free version, yes, but these monthly updates are only for patrons.
This is a mega project, which I'm happily supporting, and I'm sure it will be much better than SimTRAXX ever dreamed (and won't finish anyway). For me it's already better, because its sublime road feel and very good accuracy. I prefer these against graphics, but sure the graphics will be very good as well.

You can get it for 1 EUR.

Pro tip for very price sensible people: Share the price with your mate, and you can get the latest version for 0,5 EUR. Or even cheaper, if you have more friends. But don't share it please!

I'm curious to get some feedback on the Tommy78 1991 DTM mods. Who has them and are they worth the money? Around $6 USD per Car is quite a bit. https://tpongracz.com/shop/ac-dtm-1991-season-pass/

I bought the Season pass last month for 1991 DTM, mainly buying it for the Mustang/ Audi V8 and from a visual standpoint they don't disappoint. Not top level compared to other paid mod but the 3D modelling comes close to that raised bar.

Negatives - Sound on all cars was something not to be desired, its not just the samples but the way its is programmed just comes across flawed and distracting to say the least. Easy fix but annoying as with paid mod, I would expect at least half decent useable audio.

The other negative I initially didn't notice myself, but there's a replacement physics file by a 3rd party Modder on RD, he says that the physics were a lot of copy paste which is kind of crappy to hear given pay mod. Audi/Mustang I didn't have issues with base mod, but the Omega felt something to be desired in feedback. But these are apparently ground up replacement files so kind of levitates that problem . Haven't actually got round to trying these out yet, might do so tonight If I get a moment to set the rig up.

https://www.racedepartment.com/down...cs-for-ac-dtm-1991-car-pack-by-tommy78.36298/

To summarize, not bad pack that I don't regret buying as got a soft spot for the cars that don't often show up, but has some cut corner issues as mentioned that really shouldn't exist on a full price paid mod. I replaced the audio for the mustang with the Amplified GT40 sound and had a lot of fun with it first night I bought it for sure but given the issues with Audio/physics I would be apprehensive buying next time from him. Fixes are in place/WIP for this DTM pack at least, just be it from a 3rd party and your own audio swaps.

I didn't regret to buy the season pass, I think it's worth the money (3EUR/car).
(Now it sounds I buy every fricking mods, but seriously not. I bought the VRC mods and some of the RSS, nothing else.)

The problem is with the replacement physics, that the guy who made it isn't very good at physics (based on the cars he made) so I highly doubt it is better, I gave it a go but the Audi had so much shake and rattle I removed it immediately.
His goal was to keep them BOPped with the Kunos cars, which is good but I think Tommy's cars will be fine tuned as well with the 2 more cars coming in the end.

I will have to agree that this latest release has issues. I gave it a chance, but the car breaks traction and oversteers way too easy, and it can't be pushed to and beyond the limit of grip and still be controllable.
I have loaded the chrash.ini file on the Discord server which is for the Nordschleife and I have no problems with it

Ok, try this for me...

Copy the installer to a folder called crewchief in the root of your C drive:

C:\crewchief\CrewChiefV4.msi

Then open an elevated command prompt (right click on CMD and run as administrator)

Then type or copy and paste this below, and hit enter:

msiexec /fvecmus "C:\crewchief\CrewChiefV4.msi" TRANSFORMS=mytransforms.mst /qr+

If that doesnt work and throws and error stating this only works for programs that are already installed, change the first part /fvecmus for just /i and try again.

If you get an error stating the transforms are incorrect then do the following and try again..
Open regedit.
Open HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT / Installer / Products and then press ctrl+f or select "find" and in the search box make sure all 3 items are ticked and type crew and press enter.

This will take you to the crewchief transform keys, now double click "Transforms" to open it, remove the text from this location, close the key and then run the previous command steps again.

Let me know if that works.

Since there is an alternative to the new fashion of encrypted cars, why deprive us of it? Here is an update of the very beautiful Lamborghini Diablo of Alberto Daniel Russo, the special model SE30 JOTA.
I never download the encrypted models because I consider that most of them are the work of other designers and the internet should stay open for what we are passionate about. Let's not forget that these people have a bit of success because of Kunos' work.
A few years ago, I participated in the design of models (solo or in a team) for other simulators, FS9 and FS10, I had created a blog about my creations:

http://fs9addons.over-blog.com/

and these have always remained open and FREE.
Now everyone does what they want but I have no respect for those who shamelessly profit from the free work of others and i won't change my mind at sixty eight.

Here is the extraordinary Lamborghini Diablo SE30 JOTA by Alberto Daniel Russo, huge thanks to him

That means that fuel consumption estimates are wrong. This is a value that is stored in: fuel_cons.ini in the data folder of the car. The file looks like this:

[FUEL_EVAL]
KM_PER_LITER=

I'm not able to check the exact data for the car right now. But whatever value is there after the = is too high apparently. Try lowering this number to half as a dirty fix. But this should be properly calculated based on the actual consumption data of the car. I can take a look at it later today.

Also the problem you have should only happen in quick races. If you do practise or qualifying for the race and allow the AI do to ar least 3 laps there, then this problem should go away. Because that is how long the AI needs to calculate the actual consumption on that track and then it doesn't read the data from fuel_cons.ini anymore.

@WYCorp Indeed i was right. Did the test now, and fuel_cons.ini for RSS f1 '90 is of for more than 30%, and what is worse, it's off in the wrong direction. So when after a few laps after a race start, the AI realise they have 33% less fuel than wanted, they panic and pit. I can't believe RSS would make such an oversight. Not like them at all. Anyway I attached the excel table I use for doing this for the cars that have this problem if anybody wants it (rename .txt to.xlsx and use it freely). I do 3 tests: Silverstone, Spa and Magny Cours (three very different tracks to get the average value).

Change the fuel_cons.ini of the RSS '90 from:

[FUEL_EVAL]
KM_PER_LITER=2.1

to

[FUEL_EVAL]
KM_PER_LITER=1.582773194

P.S.: While I was testing for RSS, I did a side test of the ETCC cars, and they are way off as well. Checked the ai.ini, and it's off as well with some cars (hence they jitter so much). So a V2 is gonna be released soon. Maybe tomorrow.

Still nothing seems to work...

Translating the error, it says something like "error applying transformers. Check if specified transformer´s paths are valid"

are these any good, thanks for sharing though

A lot of these tracks are ok as far as they go but most are unfinished or in a not very optimised state. I would grab a random selection and see for yourself. Don't get me wrong they aren't terrible but they aren't perfect either. But as we all seem to agree and disagree on what we like and don't like it's hard to say what you like in a track. So yeah the whole "try them yourself" thing is prolly the best thing i can say here.

I´m sorry but no...it delivers the same last error message. I deleted the text within the item "name" on the right side of each of the 5 keys I have for crewchief...
Am I doing something wrong?

Top work my friend, many thanks for your excellent investigative efforts! 👍

edit: I have no data folder for this car, does it need to be unpacked somehow in CM? Thanks.

Hey guys, could I get some recommendations for a good quality Prototype mod? I see that VRC has several cars, are there some others I should consider? Paid mods are fine. Thanks for any input.
