The gt500 from Chivas. There was a post about it doing 1.42 around Suzuka, which I found unrealistic. It turned out to be a mistake. The 1.42 time that is.

Ahh ok, just looked it up, best time according to the always trustable internet is

SUPER GT(GT500) Tomoki Nojiri 1'44.319 Honda NSX-GT

Downloading the pack now and will give it a crack.

Yes, but this is according to new regulations, which came into effect later. The 2013 cars, were doing more like 1.47, even 1.48.
Not that it is really important I'm just curious, but where are you seeing those times? I can only find the 1.52* times that I posted earlier for the 2013 season cars.

Adria update (1.3 i think), less bumpy but still contain some. Added new textures, I rotated to model to face the right direction of sun but it destroyed the AI and maps so i had to re do them. What I didn't do again were the cameras so I will ask for help from you masters of cams, please.

Final version of my Adria conversion. Added dynamic groove and 2 basic cameras. Enjoy.

Thank you slider666 for encouraging me to improve this track.

you can adjust the sun position with lighting.ini file in your track data folder.

like so:
[LIGHTING]
SUN_PITCH_ANGLE=55
SUN_HEADING_ANGLE=115

I improved my times on ACC tracks significantly watching this alien's lap guides (short, to the point and easy to understand). And since this is ACC conversion, the same "rules" apply. Yes, he does these with gt3 cars, but the higher speed of gt500 gets compensated with better grip, so all the breaking, acceleration,.. points still work. Maybe need to be adjusted slightly. But it gives you a great base:

Yeah thanks for that I will certainly give a good watch! 👍

I was more curious to see where those times you were stating came from, "The 2013 cars, were doing more like 1.47, even 1.48." or did you mean those times were in the game and not real life?

No surprise, both Pau 2007 and Sachsenring are quality tracks. I had a decent Sachsenring installed, but I was excited to see TMM take on Sachsenring. All of their other tracks are better versions of already existing track mods. And now I have a much better Sachsenring installed. The Monkeys do it again!
Thanks for posting. Turns out three of the tracks I had installed are an older version... 👍

Ah, OK. Here:

https://supergt.net/results/index/2012/Round7

You can change tracks and seasons on the right. In 2013 the lap times in qualy were 1.55 and over, must of rained or something. In 2012 and 2014 for example the times were around 1.48 mark.

And in 2018 is when the lap record 1.44 was achieved:

Ahh I didn't consider changing the year on that site hah thanks for that. Yeah quite a difference with the lap times through those years. Weather was good apparently, I wonder if there was a regulation change for 2013? Ah well not important is it, one of those Rabbit holes you go down as these cars and series are fairly new to me :)

Yes, you can get lost in all this. But that is what us "freaks" do. I think there were also different layouts used? Don't know. Maybe.

This is a cool video though:

Again, INCREDIBLE WORK! This made my weekend! ...except that a client suddenly had a rush project, and kept me away from it!

A few of my laps in some cars suitable for Suzuka!

Ferrari F355 Gemballa ...
View media item 68856

Thanks for this - there's no such thing as too many 355s. Gemballa thankfully left a lot of the 355 alone, adding wheels and some branding and .. I'm not sure what else.
Cockpit shaders were so dark in that car it was like everything was made from black velvet, totally crushing any detail. It was almost in silhouette. Here's a few shader tweaks for cockpit/VR users to reveal a lot of what was hidden.
There are also some alpha channel corrections on labels and new interior glass with a subtle dirt /dust layer.
Added some brief UI notes about the murder of Uwe Gemballa as well.

I tried creating a new car (and adjusting the rear lights at the same time) but the unpacked data was either corrupted, encrypted or in an alien language, so this will overwrite your original download. Back up first in case you want to revert.

Check the wipers on this car as well - it's a great example of them stopping woefully short and not completing a full sweep. Maybe because the blades are a little too long?

(oops, sorry - left the kn5 backup in the folder by mistake. Just delete it)

@Jimlloyd Just completed a nice 15 Lap GT1 (Race Sim Studio Pack) race around your recent Suzuka with the transition from early evening to dark. All that I can say is.. BRAVO! Excellent work. Thank you and whomever else helps you with these conversions. This version blows all others out of the water.

One small thing I noticed, it's almost impossible to touch a curb without spinning out in a GT1 car. I'll test some others shortly to see if this is a recurring theme. Has anyone else noticed or reported this?

Love the 355 but are there any good quality stock 348's out there? Just curious..

Nice update! I just found out the lights wasn't working, I check the Lights.ini in the data folder and found the name didn't match, so I correct it. I also included flashing pit lights, but I'm sure it not accurate to real life. You can go ahead and remove it.

Porsche 968 Turbo C
Gentlemen!
After some deliberation, I decided to continue publishing my modifications, although I'm not sure if they deserve it.
I am glad to present you an updated version of the magnificent Porsche 968 Turbo C, which was transferred to Corsa by respected Lu Thua Kien II. An excellent car, if not the fastest of the horses from Stuttgart.
Authors: Studio Turn10, adapted for Assetto Korsa Lu Thua Kien II.
My work on the model includes a complete redesign of the interior and exterior, including support for the Custom Shader patch functionality. The physics of the model remained practically unchanged, however I made minor necessary corrections (for example, the position of the fuel tank). It should be noted that for a number of reasons this copy differs from the well-known 968 photographs - I deliberately gave it a more luxurious look than in reality (I hope you will appreciate the discs from Singer, for which I am grateful to Ben O'Bro and Arch).
Link:

P.S.
It is recommended to do the following before starting the track:
calibrate steering wheel
read Walter Röhrl's review of the 968 (magazine "Auto Zeitung" issue for 1992)
watch a film on VHS cassette or listen to music from the 90s.
drink something in honor of our departed youth
enjoy!
with greetings from Russia
Sapsan

Saddens me that the bloody wings gone. Now it just looks like any 968... Ah. Anyway. Thanks for sharing this mate.

Just wanted to say, that the rt_suzuka track is freaking AWESOME! I'm having so much fun driving on it. I'm currently making some broadcast trackside cameras and a small trackside sponsor pack from1990 for it. I can't wait to finish it!

:gtplanet: rocks! :gtpflag:

This is the problem with AC cameras.
Someone has released two very good cameras on RD, which over write the cameras currently shipped with the track.
Then if you downloaded yours off RD, they over write the other new cams....

So you'd end up with just your camera and one of the other ones...

If it was done correctly you could have in total 5 cameras to chose from....

Such a shame and really does make doing them seem utterly pointless unless for personal use...

Not really blaming anyone but kunos to be honest....its just frustrating...
