If I can add my opinion on the physics, it would be better to keep the physics as close to the real life counterpart as possible, without breaking the authenticity of the car.
Which means, TC and ABS should be there only if the car has them in RL.
I'm forced to play with my joypad now, but I keep driving aids to "factory" and in case, I only increase the amount of Stability Control.

Bremgarten1954 from AC track reboot does not load; has someone an advice what to do? Installed normally like all other tracks, but I cannot find the issue.

Does it need the stFlow app from Race Department?
Try disabling any cpu/gpu optimisation too.

I recently learned Python at my college and I wanted to try to use my newly learned skills to make an app. I found this brilliant tutorial and I think I have a basic understanding of how AC's python module works, but I'm still not entirely sure how to make my own GUI rather than using the default box label that is shown there.

I want to make my own dash screen similar to the one on the 488 GT3 with its own shift lights. Something like this but in app form:

But I'm not entirely sure how to move on from the basic app that was shown in the tutorial.

Good luck with that. Learning Python takes a huge chunk of time and like said, Rome wasn't built in one day.

There are some issues with the latest preview release.
Try this one:
preview 37 https://trello.com/c/s3vek5Ir/38-v0125-preview37

or

preview 38 near the bottom of https://discordapp.com/channels/453595061788344330/453615074951561236

or just wait, a proper update will come very soon.

I already was on preview37 and also tried to de-activate it, then tried again. Also no chance to get Bremgarten working. The CM just came back with the message "race aborted". I wondered, since in the Bremgarten folder all .dds files were unpacked, which is odd. Normally they should be packed in an kn5 file. Maybe that is the reason. Has someone checked this? I mean, I usually download the reboot tracks through their given link and I had no issues until now. I would appreciate if someone can help me.

About the only way I can proceed to address them is if one who is receiving some kind of errors describes the errors... I just uninstalled the build I had, downloaded from my link, installed and tested and get no errors... nothing during analysis nor while loading. Perhaps list any error here that you're getting so that we may being to address them. Did you uninstall the previous version before installing this version?
yes I did, it is strange you have no tyres message, you would get the same i do, I will try again and let you know.
I am using: Download

That is a strange one indeed (no tyres)?... and yeah that is the most recent link. Would you by chance be running some kind of tyre app? Any custom configurations from previous versions?

OK tried it again and this time no issues, not sure what happened the first time!
I did not write no tyres, I wrote no tyres message, as the message was about the tyres not being type 10 and no standards tyre were designated.
Anyway all good now.

To those having issues with recent shader patch previews, I've just been testing preview 40 and with all CPU/GPU optimisations ticked everything now seems to work fine. Multithread loading is super fast, like from ROM cartridge. Significant fps boost too (around 5fps from previous?).

At the moment the AI seem to be having an issue of which I am trying to fix. It appears to be an issue with the minimums in the setup info for the car because the AI are are setting so low to where the front tires are coming through the fenders, and even setting a rule for minimum ride height isn't correcting the issue. Hope to soon have it sorted out. :)

Just wanted to chime in and also say that gamepad users can easily enable TC, ABS and Stability control already. There really is no need to include these fantasy electronics into the car itself.

These options, unless actually present on the car in real life, really detract from the simulation aspect
.

Why? Because if you want realism, you then have to go and start Googling if this car really had ABS or TC (or maybe one and not the other). Normally, the minute I see something like ABS on a Group C car, I delete the mod immediately (because, in general, this indicates the modder isn't really concerned with realism). That certainly doesn't apply to your mods, but I've seen a lot of really bad mods that do this (including one that had a 1967 F1 car with TC!).

So, they're your mods and it's totally your call, but my advice would be: Make the car as it was. And Thanks for sharing all your hard work!

I agree with you, it would be preferable to mod the car with proper setting and let the user that want a different setting, for whatever reason, set those with the available in game settings.
