And speaking of iRacing, I'm part of a brazilian WhatsApp modding team where there's this modder called Fernando Valentim who actually managed to convert ALL iRacing and R3E cars to AC, yet I don't even know who he actually shares them all to. He sadly isn't good at english at all, but I did know he stores them all to a server for his developing community he told me or so.

Camtool demands a lot of processor power. Unfortunately but I must say that the latests versions of CSP and Sol are giving back valuable FPS for our tiny camtool lovers gang. :D

Definitely worth the little frame drops here and there. If anything, it looks a little more "cinematic" if you will if you end up running 24-25fps because that's the frame rate they use in cinema.

I love the new rt_misano, thanks to all involved. The only thing I will say is that the performance seems a fair bit worse than Bathurst and Suzuka. I get about 200fps or more on Suzuka, but only about 150-ish on Misano.

Richmond v1.1
Michigan v1.4
Phoenix v1.1

Updated and added to my folder.

This update fixes the problem on those tracks that causes to not counting the lap while driving on the pitlane, and some textures and visual objects added/removed.

I'd be glad if someone can make another set of lights for Phoenix and Richmond. My pc is too slow i can't really test if lights are optimal. Thanks.

I created a Mega folder, maybe it is easier to keep track of my messy updates.
Let me know if you can't download any track posted. Cheers.

I'm willing to bet he was meaning for the rest of the cars shown in the image of the GT500 grid.

Being a fan of russian TCR and also, Super Production, Touring-Light, S1600, S1600 Junior and GT4 (Unfortunately, GT3 had only 4 cars)

And having almost all tracks from these series, is with pleasure, I can reproduce some races at a better Kazans version of those I have.

Thank you.

My thoughts on the ethics of modding in sim racing, given the events of the last day or so.

This whole thing seems like something that should be a no-brainer for most folks. mods with assets from other games or other media has been common since the beginning of time and it pretty much consists in like 90% of video games that can be modded but you don't see those modders charging you to get that stuff (...most of the time...that skyrim paid mod steam workshop fiasco was pretty bad). Simdream probably thought that they could get away with this since like most of their trash, it mostly get talked about by folks within the community and usually under the radar larger more well known content creators until this time Jimmy Broadbent noticed. I wouldn't care if the model was ripped from iracing if this was the average free mod made by some random dude posted on a forum to share (Like I said that most mods). Heck, even if said random dude made an edit of another mod and didn't even bother to credit the original creator and pretended it has his, I'd just have an eye-rolling "oh please" reaction. But what simdream and others like them do by charging for said asset taken mod, saying it's theirs and not even trying to hide the name or even making original liveries just makes me shake my head and make my eyes roll to the point that I look like The Undertaker. :indiff:

Forgive me if I eventually make a silly question but: is it possible to have a race sidecar working in Assetto Corsa ?
Is there any mod about race sidecars ?
Thank you very much.

Thanks so much, very nice track indeed. Reminds me a bit of Mugello to drive. Great work.

Is there an explanation why audio disappears entirely from Kunos cars? Something to do with it being hijacked by a mod or whatnot?
I just went to use the Kunos Toyota GT86 and it's been converted to electric. No weird GUIDS in the sfx folder either.
Anyone know why this happens? I don't think I've ever seen a decent explanation for it, but it's annoyingly common.

This was "introduced" when their latest update came with vers. 1.16.4, they deleted / re-wrote almost every guids.txt from their cars.

OK, dumb question time: is it possible to adjust and save a car's collider position in CM showroom, like you can with exhaust flames? Select collider, hit 't' to bring up the adjustment axes, raise the collider... but the whole car moves with the collider. What am I missing here?
I'm guessing adjustments still have be done in collider.ini and only the changes can be viewed in CM showroom? If so, what's the point of the t-axes?
The actual collider itself needs to be moved it would be needed to be done in 3DS MAX/3Dsimmded or blender for now. I don't remember the collider.ini doing anything and its not possible to move the collider in CM for now unless Ilja creates something in the future....

Vague memory 2: I seem to remember moving the collider by playing with the values in the text editor. As with all things showroom, saving the file would show me the result. However, you yourself being a far time editor, I'm quite sure you've tried this but are looking for something else instead.

Pretty happy so far with the most recent version of Sol (2.02) and the performance increase it has brought. I tried out Sol 2.0 for the first time last week and I was getting about 56-62 FPS in most racing scenarios. Now with the most recent update I've been getting around 66 FPS with a grid of 19 cars.

But honestly after trying out Sol I think it would be worth playing at 30 FPS because of the weather. Had my first thunderstorm race and it was wild.

I moved the collider up on a perpetually-sparking car in collider.ini and not only did it visually move up in CM showroom, the car also stopped sparking. Looks like it actually does work after all based on that highly unscientific experiment?
