Having done countless races in Iracing on VIR and also being one of my favorite tracks, its far to wide. Most of the track is barely wide enough for 2 cars.

Perhaps in places, but the track is 30-36 feet wide IRL. Thats 3 to 4 cars width. (or more)

Is it just me or is the right hander at the end of the long straight after the kink at La Sarthe (Mulsanne?) far too fast in that version?

I noticed that too, it's just a slight kink into the tight right-hander instead of being more like a double-apex. That's generally the most difficult turn on the whole track (IMO), but on that version it's almost not even a turn. Still better than I could make though.

Yeah it looks good but the fact that it isn't accurate ruins it for me.. It's probably the best corner on the track, due to the approach.

Actually I double checked and that isn't true, seems gradual both in TL's version as in real life:

The real one still looks sharper to me, it's a defined turn and you can see the driver turn into it. On TL's version it looks like you could pretty much take a straight line through it if you approached it correctly. I'm not really criticizing since I couldn't create anything better and I've never driven the real track, just making an observation. I'll still drive the hell out of it and love every minute.

Skip to 1:55 on this video, it's a definite turn.

Here's another video of LeMans

Also, some sections of VIR were widened in 2013. I think iRacings version is quite a bit older than that so it doesn't have those wider areas.

I think the layout of the inside kerb is different which creates the impression, but if you look at how much the car has to turn in without focusing on the kerb (apex), it's pretty much the same.

The new video Wiz posted above looks better, more like the Hulkenberg video. It mush have just been a perspective thing in the Vette video, the first couple times I watched it I thought the straight went directly into the tight right-hander instead of a medium right-hander that led into the tight right-hander, and that certainly wouldn't be right.

I hope he puts the oak tree on there, even though it doesn't exist anymore (stupid lightening, of all the trees...... :banghead: ).

Downloaded this last night and ran two laps (it was 1am) and the initial impression that I got from that video was wrong, the Mulsanne corner is just fine :)

The track is really good. Very impressed. I'm going to have a lot of fun here.

Agreed. It's still a bit gentler than other versions I've driven but there's nothing saying those other versions were any more accurate. This one seems to match the onboard from last year pretty closely. I have a feeling I'm going to be buying the URD P1 cars to drive on here.

I'm looking forward to finally drive the Sauber C9 where it belongs :D The low downforce configuration of the car makes it horrible to drive at any other track in the game (save for Old Monza maybe).

Version 1.0 of the wonderful Honda NSX mod has been released. No more editing files to get it to have sound...plus other changes, of course.

http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/honda-nsx-1991-version-1.15200/

EDIT: Be warned. There is a known error with one of the 4 versions, I believe it's the s1 version of the regulard NSX that gives an error. Watch that official thread for a fix coming very soon.

Driving up Trento Bondono with the isolated sound is probably one of the most orgasmic things I've ever done in AC. That sound is absolutely perfect, and the mod is (obviously) just as good.

NSX sounds much better than before. Still not as growly as Niels rFactor NSX though. The car itself is good to drive, but the FFB is kinda lacking in my opinion compared to some of Kunos' vanilla cars (yes, I've already tweaked it with FFBClip). Which is a shame considering the real NSX has one of the best steering feel in the market. Still a very good mod though and highly recommended 👍

Any Ferrari F300 fans here, well

I do hope that you are ready, its coming very soon. I suggest that if you are interested that you watch some videos of it being driven because its crazy.

Pretty insane really, I did the physics(well a calculator did, i just punched in numbers), neverkrash did the sounds, a kunos dev did the model, another dev did the skins, we all did the testing, ferrari tried to take us down, kunos backed us up. All those hours, all that determination, all that passion encapsulated within this car.

I came into the project and the team for that matter seeing this name and thinking damn i hate ferrari(because of the hypercar issues they had) and i hate F1 however now i just, i think im in love with the Nurburgring oh yeah the brand and motorsport alright as well i guess.

Does that mean this is going to be official DLC instead of a mod then?

I already drove the F2002 mod (which was amazing), so I'm hoping this is as good or even better! :D I'd love to see a 2004 era F1 car though, since they are the fastest year of F1 ever.

no, but im welcome to the idea, cant comment for the rest of the team.

2002 is great. i think its rather beautiful, as for how good it is haha well its harder to drive on the edge but it snaps back pretty easily once you get the hang of it.

Wooohaaa that NSX is very awesome. Nice drive, extremely well modelled.

I also tried the Mclaren V6 Turbo F1. Also very very good.

The Le Mans track mod, .... not there yet. But getting there.
