up again! after a misunderstanding in which I was accused of having stolen the content of this track,
(which has just been reviewed and and where they say that the content is mine)
we can have it available again! thanks to all for the support!

again I thank the "Asociacion Argentina de Volantes" and "Vracer simuladores de competicion"
for the support in the development of the track that was made entirely from scratch,
Obviously we use some resources from kunos because the track is exclusive for their platform.

stay tuned for new releases we are developing with "SG" shifting gear.

My follow-up thoughts...

I'm not sure I ever want to post anything on RD. When I see posts of someone that's picking apart every polygon and texture/material of a mod, that's ridiculous. One person in particular scours through everything, trying to prove that objects as insignificant as a shrub were copied from other mods. He's even referenced textures on the inside of buildings that no one can see. Someone is obsessed with being the "mod police."

You need to rework and fix the geometry on csr models. If you used it as it is it's gonna have issues like basically every mod based on them. Look also at the pinching around the headlights.

You need to quad it, weld it, edit the topology where it's crap and then add chamfer to the edges of the body.

The line you have is a seam, that's normal if you map it like that interrupting the island in the middle of a body part, you have to hide the seams or don't map planar and peel map instead.

Your ao also has so much wasted space, you should try to get the actual parts of the car to fill as much space as possible so that with a smaller texture you still have decent quality

How do you know all this things on painting/mapping? Do you have a sort of guide or something else?😦

Don't know if @DaBaeda have time and interest in make them again (i can't because my workflow don't allow to import a track like this one in ksEditor). But if he found time to make them, again, i can implement more fov variations like i did the first time.

Re Rafaela:
Added an extension folder with a basic RainFX, GrassFX, hid the bad grass/bushes, hid the bad Chevrolet wobbleflags on the far side of the circuit, added wind to good flags and stuff. Feel free to improve the rain and grass.
The config is a hybrid so might contain obsolete/unneeded stuff, but it works.
There were cones fixed to the fencing, poking out horizontally at 90 degrees. I can't imagine these were intended like this so they were also removed. Maybe they were supposed to be distance markers?
Also added a skins folder with new billboards, flags, trucks, pit tent banners, tyre stacks and stuff.

Unzip, copy contents to 'rafaela' track folder. Activate 'Billboards' skin.

With Spa Grand Prix in just a few days I have created a complete overhaul of this Kunos track




Hope this will help skin creators :)
 
Hiya M, no further updates were done since original post of 21Jan2021 (link below)... Download link has today been reinstated with original content... Updates to track environment would require someone with further 3D modelling skills, if anyone else in this community wishes to undertake - happy to assist wherever I can. Recall getting some feedback with respect to the pit-wall /gantry having inaccurate details, but have left it as is for the time being...

Thanks, I remember this now, and did in fact already have it... along with two other versions of the same track. I was searching for motul in my track list, that's why I thought the 'original' one was the only version I had.
For the record, yours also has the same floating bushes which someone is hopefully working to fix in a 3D utility (along with plugging some of the various holes).
I do like that you kept the flags, particularly the ones on the roof.
I think the query you mention was regarding use of the Le Mans 24hr logo, wasn't it? Seems out of place on a Russian track.

So... the million-dollar question... which is objectively the best RainFX config, yours or @CrisT86's..?

i think is a matter of taste. Mine is complete like for all my tracks, my Kazan have a different name folder than the original track which was motul or something like that.
 
I don't know exactly what happened, but it must be the same problem as always with the mods of tracks or Argentine categories, there is a team of moders that create "official and licensed content" for Rfactor and sell it according to them, you can't even make a skin of the Argentine categories for any game because they are the owners of the rights, they denounce all the content, they delete pages from social networks, etc. That's why for years there was no free Argentine content, today moders like H22 ask for permissions to create content and they get it, but these people come back with a thousand-year-old paper that says they are the owners of the rights and that everything is stolen. and almost every time as they have a signed paper they end up winning the complaints

Sadly, this seems to be a typical scene in the argentinian modding world. Same happened with PES back in the day: desperate greed for money (we're never doing well economically, but still), coupled with an imaginary status of recognition.

Autodromo San Nicolás by Alejo1633 was updated to 1.2 version. Aaaand, for example, VAO-patch still missed. Maybe you re-do your revision of the track again or will you somehow try to contact the author to merge the edits? :)

(I started a billboard skin because AC/Kunos/PayPal branding but noped out when I realised the mapping was ... interesting).

Strange, I don't have any spectators there.

Edit: Of course, it may be that this was corrected by @CrisT86 's update.

what is the purpose of the texture folder in the archive?

As soon as RemZona's Evija was published in Assettoland i worked on it to fix some things that I thought were broken. Here's what I did:
  • Electric engine now has no MGUK-Delivery, which was unfair and strangely customizable in cockpit. All engine torque now goes from torque.lut file without any ERS.
  • Engine.ini is fully remade.
  • Instant torque now works well.
  • Tyres were replaced with Hypercar Street and Trofeo.
  • Downforce has slightly decreased.
It may seem like these were light changes, but most of the time was spent to testing realism of the redesigned things. And it was an experiment if i could simplify EVs in assetto corsa and bring them to a single standard. I think i have succeeded in my goal, so maybe later i will rework all EVs i had and publish them here in one big pack.

Despite these, I still get a very high fps count (which does surprise me since there are 10.000 elements).
But at the start of hotlap mode, you fall throught the world and get teleported into the pit lane and when you miss the righthander on the opposite straight (which I accidentally did on my first lap out), you can just continue with a valid time, despite having skipped the whole 'infield' section. Some cones (and time invalidation) would be good.
