Thousands of not-normally-seen camera facing spectators behind the pit buildings on this track. These can't be good for performance, can they? Or do they only use resources if you can see them?
(I started a billboard skin because AC/Kunos/PayPal branding but noped out when I realised the mapping was ... interesting).

i do not have them, and btw i never touch camera facing stuff. I only work on ext_config, vao and tv cams.

Don't know why you have all these people, but he (Alejo) released yesterday the v1.2 then i updated my old config to the new track update and everything works fine.

It is with great pleasure to present the GTP community with this 2nd skin-pack for the 911 GT3 Cup 2021 mod.

This fun-filled project is brought to you by @raceabit and @racealot, and trust it brings much enjoyment and entertainment for all sim-racers alike.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to those members that have been supportive throughout this time, and appreciate your constructive feedback and well wishes. It's all good now.

@raceabit has kindly expressed that permission is granted for @__EASY__ to combine this latest skin-pack with the car-mod... and that the GTP community should be all about sharing and being kind to one another...

Are you using the new v1.2 ?

thanks fantastic job !!! very talented, needs that on all kunos f1 tracks ;)
Thanks a lot ! :)
I already started to work on Barcelona and Silverstone but just a single track take really a very long time and Spa was more "urgent".
But as soon as Spa will be over (after update for 2021 billboards), I will go back to work on Barcelona track (much needed !)

Of course yes, if not what's the point of make an update on an older version and release it as new? :D
This is v1.2: data > camera_facing.ini:

[CAMERA_FACING_0]
SURFACE=ppl_1
ELEMENTS=10000
SIZE=0.7,1.9
TEXTURE=content/texture/people_stand.dds
TEXTURE_ROWS=2
TEXTURE_COLUMNS=11
SHADED=1
DIFFUSE=0.025,0.025,0.025
AMBIENT=0.085,0.085,0.085

So how can you not see them (unless you have spectator setting in CM set to hide all spectators)...

I expect I can get my legs in this one without my knees against the dashboard and steering wheel.

Hopefully someone else creates a good version. I'm sure ExMods is going to release one of their versions.

Another interesting tease from the same company...

What i have to say? Fix it and use it as you prefer, as said i didn't touch it and i don't have them. Is not my problem if you see them and is not linked to my update too...

If you guys are talking about the same shadow problem that I'm thinking of on the Brabham BT62, then I may have a fixed KN5 for you. The shadow was extremely noticeable and ugly in replays, so about 4 months ago I threw it into Blender and KSEditor. I also straightened out various edges on the 3D model, so the body panels didn't look so "blob-ey". The car is now paintable via CM. The shadow probably isn't perfect but it's much better than before. See for yourselves.

edit: original link was missing that blue trim around the seats. fixed now.

Nice update. While this car is getting some improvement, can someone adjust the tach curve so it isn't floating in front of the display (annoying for VR users), and fix the see-through panels on the sides of the seats? Probably a flipped normals issue.

Version 1.2 (+ plus CrisT86 update)

"Hide all spectators" is not checked.

And as already written, I don't see any of the spectators either. 🤷‍♂️

It's not about fixing things myself, it's no problem either. If I don't want the camera facing spectators I can reduce or remove them, takes 2 seconds.
It's about the spectators being there as @Masscot stated. And they clearly are as I showed you before. Maybe you don't see them, maybe you can't see them, but we clearly can, even with your update installed they are still present.

Hi,

Please, where can I find the latest version of your mod?Thanks

And? Is not my track, so even they are present why should be linked to me once i alredy said that i don't touch the camera_facing?

As said, I DON'T have them, so my performance are not hitted in any way. Contact Alejo and ask for an update for all the world if you think is important ;)

Was your download updated to 1.2 in the UI?
Mine still said 1.0
1.0, he didn't update the UI

Do you even fully read/understand my posts ?
It’s you that reacted to @Masscot post about them, that you said that you did not know why he had all these people.
Which is why I confirmed I had them too, and since they are present in the track files, you SHOULD see them.
Since you state you don’t you must have had a bad install or something (hence my question about the version you had).
It’s as simple as that.

As for contacting Alejo…I did. About the hot lap spawn point and about the possibility to skip the whole infield and still get a valid lap.
Not about the spectators…why should I ? Easy enough to remove or to reduce numbers, but even with all 10.000 of them I get a high fps count, even if I only get to see only a small amount of them when driving.

A question for the community... Some mods tend to have a pivot point in the center of the car, that makes driving through a corner a very akward experience. Is there a way to quick fix that? Even if the physics are not accurate... As long as it's driveable.
Thank you in advance!

This might be a sweeping generalisation but I don't think I've ever seen a Turkish mod that was worth the bandwidth.
Really? Turkish mods have been that bad?

Well, I know at least that this website wasn't worth registering in the first place. I attemped to download 3 different mods on this site and they kept redirecting me to ads and other nonsense.

Due to popular demand (3 people) here is Pikes Peak in gravel and tarmac versions.

I ran into some issues trying to create low poly LOD's for this track, not sure if I should be using sperate KN5's and an LOD.ini file or just using a CSP config. If anyone has any input or links to how-to's for tracks it would be appreciated.

Track seems to run OK but I don't have a potato and wasn't using triples or VR at the time.

I also experimented with rock textures in a GrassFX config but it just looked strange and so it was removed, I might look into it again at a later date if GrassFX .ini itself can be modified without breaking it for other tracks.

This is really, REALLY fantastic! To anyone with a VR setup I HIGHLY recommend giving this a shot with the SOL 2.1whatever-latest 3D clouds and some weather and you legitimately feel like you're driving into the clouds, it's incredible! Spent WAY too much time driving up it the other day in all sorts of weather, it's a blast!

Separately, did anyone watch Indycar's Music City Grand Prix last weekend? The track is WILD, would be a blast to drive if there was ever a public version. Grosjean posted a video in the Honda simulator but it looks like rFactor Pro, so I doubt anyone outside of a professional race team has access to this:
