Or maybe it's because the rest of us think "monthly" means it runs until the end of the month and didn't realize a new combo was already up. :sly:
Apparently "monthly" has a different definition in the EU. They are much more progressive than us on the other side of the pond don't you know:lol:

Pretty sure I have not installed any sound mods. I did install one vehicle (not just skin) which strangely enough was a Porsche. I remember having to execute an app that extracted the car from a "mod" directory that I had to create.

Not sure if that car mod had any sound enhancements over stock. Cant wait to get home and try this out.
And vintage Silverstone!:D

I Did have some sound mods installed i guess and I updated to 1.9 already. Found some cars (mostly GT3) to not have sound anymore. You guys havew any idea how to fix it without deinstalling and reinstalling ac as a whole?
Thank you guys for any tips

Do this. Works for stock cars, for mod cars you'll have to wait on the modder to update his work.
You can find the SFX folder in the content/cars/pick the car you need.

Alternately, if you use Content Manager you can replace the mod car sounds with sounds from a Kunos car fairly easily. Could get you by until the car is updated.

Open Content Manager. Select "Content" in the upper right hand corner of CM. Then, go to the upper left hand corner and select CARS. A list of all your cars should show up running down the left side of your screen in CM. Now select the car that you aren't happy with, sound wise. You should see it's preview picture on the screen. Look at the bottom row of Content Manager. It should have options: Disable, Save, Delete, Find Information, Update Previews, REPLACE SOUND. Click that "Replace Sound" and it will pop up a new window that looks like the regular car selector when you want to drive. Select a car that you want to use it's sounds from.

(Thanks to @ALB123 for the tip)

Yes I replaced 500 questionable mods in around 30 minutes. Throw some youtube up on the second screen and its done before you know it.

Yep, I just replaced a URD BMW DTM sound with the BMW GT3 sound and now it's good to go. Piece of cake, literally a couple clicks.

I have the worst typing habits in the world. It's because of all the time I spent BBS'ing as a kid. Back then, if you were in a SysOp Chat, the way the duplex worked, if both people were typing at the same time both sets of letters would appear at the same time, making for a garbled conversation.

So, a lot of people back then would use the ellipsis, or even more periods to indicate they weren't done typing, but they were still thinking of something to say, or whatever, but they weren't pressing Enter to move to a new line...So, it's just stuck with me when I am in informal situations like here. I'm always being asked, "Why do you ... so much?"

Yeah i remember lesson about duplex connections in networking lectures, needless to say im very happy that sort of thing isnt the same today.

When you google understeer the car above should be the first result. I prefer balance, that is just crazy. This sort of thing should have stayed in Forza or NFS. Sorry but the harsh tone but i just look like these kinds of cars. I respect anyones opinion if they like it though.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of the Camaro at all. They should have left it "retired" in my opinion. I think it's pretty ugly. But... the Z28 did a pretty impressive run on Nordschleife. I wouldn't mind having a car like that to compete with the Mustang or something in that area.

Something like the car above your post could possibly be a cool mod car -- not so much a Kunos car. That's why I posted it here. I would actually be pretty ticked off if THAT is something we'd have to pay for in a DLC Pack. So, I know where you're coming from...

I wouldn't mind owning the 4th place under-steering pig :D, and it's the only one the list the average joe could afford (after working a ton of overtime)!
Actually, I wouldn't buy a Carmaro as it's not my cup of tea but it's quite the performace car.

Yeah but the car in question is $90,000 and it has lower mpg then the 917/30 with max boost(still over reaction). I can understand the reason for the standard cameros and stuff existing but 990bhp is just silly, well some people enjoy it.

Doubt it will get licensed kunos have showed several times that they firstly license the cars they like and well some beautiful language was used when asked what the opinion hellcat is. They prefer balance. They did however do an experiment with the insanity gallardo to gauge interest in bats*** crazy cars and as predicted its one of those one use wonder cars and that is how this car would end, it simply isnt balanced enough, it wouldnt slow down quickly. Great for having a laugh with the mates but thats about it put the standard 400-500bhp car in and those that want the 990bhp car can mod it(not that they are meant to but little can be done to stop them).

I like the Camaro myself, but 990 hp is a bit over the top:lol:. I wouldn't mind driving it though:sly:. 550-700 would seem about right. I enjoy driving the bigger, heavier cars, fits better with my older, slower reaction times:cool:

Yeah i hear you, im getting old myself. In a year i wont even be a teen anymore(i need to hide from my parents before they force an arranged marriage) its complete madness.

Oh, I'm totally with ya, BrownNinja... If someone did build this as a mod, I would install it. I would drive it for a few laughs at how ridiculously powerful it is and then it would sit in my garage never to be driven again. Like you said, the 1300hp Gallardo is pretty ridiculous. Did they even port that over to the console version? I've never seen anyone ever talk about it.

I'd have to put some thought into it...I'm trying to think off the top of my head right now if there are any other American cars I would like to see in AC. The new Z06 Corvette is probably the only one I would care to drive, but to be honest I don't know if I'd really want to see Kunos go after that license. I don't know. I've also read where they only go after cars that they're interested in. I forgot what the conversation was about, but you're 100% correct - that statement was made. I remember it. It could have even been a streamcast Stefano did...I just can't freakin' remember. :banghead:

I was a little surprised to see Stefano say that he's not super excited about Porsche vehicles. I would love to see a list of 10 cars that he would absolutely love to see in AC - and I would love to see Aristotelis do the same exercise. It's just interesting to me to see what people enjoy.

Only the Z06? What about the Focus RS, Mustang GT350, Ford GT, Camaro Z/28, Challenger Hellcat?
Well, that's why I'd have to put some thought into it to decide if I really, really wanted to see Kunos go after these licenses and charge us money for these cars in a DLC. I guess the Ford GT is probably a no-brainer. I already mentioned the Z28 put up a really great Nordschleife time and they posted that time driving a lap is slight rain. I guess the Mustang wouldn't be a horrible car to add. I would pass on the Hellcat or Charger and even the Focus RS. I'm so close to falling asleep, I don't know if these are my final decisions or not.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have an American car pack to go along with the coming Leguna Seca track release. I don't think that would ever happen. From various things I've read - like, conversations that happened even before I bought AC - there are quite a few cars Kunos is planning to release and they've got to get to those sometime soon, or what's even the point? For example...the Toyota LMP TS040 (is it the 40 or 30?). There were a few Lamborghini's that were supposedly coming, but a couple of those cars got axed in real life, so I doubt they'd bother putting fantasy cars in AC.

EDIT: Oh crap...I totally forgot about the ACR Viper, or whatever the top model is called. Thanks Brandon! You couldn't pass up that car.

@BrandonW77 will be along to help you....:sly: It does look good. Report back when you get it working so we can profit from your experience:)

I haven't used this weather mod but I use Content Manager and it's pretty slick. It's easier to navigate around in and it can do clever tricks like swapping out car broken mod car sounds for Kunos car sounds, set the car order of the grid (offline), and set a range for the AI so you have some cars around 90%, some around 95%, and some around 100% which make for a more varied race. You can also save (and share) race combos and you even have quick access to the experimental FFB effects and those pesky orange arrows that float around the screen. I've only scratched the surface of what it can do though, had no idea it could control weather mods. There's a link to it in that link for the GBW mod, I highly recommend it. AC doesn't even run until you get on track so you can add/remove mods without having to shut down CM, and you have full access to all the options that are in the game.

It overwrites the games menus no? Or are the screens you see there just the menu of the CM itself which you open as an app and then launch AC itself?

It's a stand alone program. I don't think it overwrites anything in the game, when I actually load AC it has all the settings from the last time I used AC and not the settings from when I last used CM. Check it out, it's pretty simple to set up and get going and it doesn't screw with AC at all so if you don't like it just delete it and it will be like it was never there. I like it though, it's pretty much all I use anymore.

I'm going in! Thanks Brandon.
I just payed special attention to the default AC clouds in comparison, and on light and mid cloud settings, there's no volume to them at all.
