You copy and paste his code into the existing ext_config.ini file,

--or--

you can overwrite the original ext_config.ini with this one.
The problems is there is no existing extension folder and ext_config.ini file, nor in the unpacked data file, that’s why I ask should I make one and were to put that.

First part of the continuation "100 Years of History", Le Mans 1973, new adaptations/tests on the new cars/skins. The Mirage M6, Matra 670b and Ferrari 312PB Coda-Lunga will be missing.
LIGIER JS2-Maserati ( G.Ligier - J.Laffite ) - 16th Quali ( conversion adaptation ) and ( improved texture ( by "MrHunt" )

FORD CAPRI 2600LV ( J.Vinatier- H.Koinnig -G.Birrell ) - 23th Quali ( adapted skin )

CM records everything now. Car is fun to drive.
Lap times at Le Mans are now competitive with the other LMDh cars.
Sound level has improved.
Some suggestions:
  • flashing lights (though the led on the wheel makes you believe they work).
  • lighted number plates
  • position lights (they are present but are not working).
  • cockpit light.
  • exhaust puff/flames.

Thank you for your feedback, I will work on these points

To make the collection complete, here an easy one to do because it is similar to the Ginot 2017 track, the 2015 version by Philippe Abadie.

They removed it because it's based on the R18 by Kunos as you said. They won't allow any mod which is based on something made by someone else and which is covered by copyright. If you have said nothing about it, they would have leaved it online ;)
Yeah but you know what some sections of the AC community is like. They love to play a game of "gotcha". They would of unpacked the data and worked out that it was based off a Kunos car, and thus would have begun the process of public flogging through the village streets for all to ridicule and jump on the modder for being a terrible, terrible human being. Fairly pathetic and really retards any progress in the modding community.

Hmm, not to put oil in the flames but... modifying a content from the source game IS the basis of modding. If the datas are based of a Kunos car, it is just a mod for "that" Kunos game, nothing else. Actually, it is the one thing RD should allow on their website, because it is purely a modification of the base game. There is no such thing has "100% newborn content" because you will always have to use the tools provided to put it in the game anyway. If you use the tools and the content available in the original game in the first place, why would it be a problem ? It's litterally what you are supposed to do : new content based on the original content. The public okay, but don't tell me even RD don't understand that... :odd:

racedepartment is now owned by a corporate entity. it is probably not the forum for the people anymore. its there as a cash cow purely to serve the interests of said corporation. it will slowly but surely crumble over time.

there is another place in the market now thanks to the takeover. openess of gtplanet, useability of RD. Thats my opinion anyway

i do like RD but i just don't personally see it going in the right direction, i do hope i am wrong.

GTplanet can be harder to navigate but its a much more open place with less unnecessary rules e.t.c

Yeah i literally have no issue with people modding game content to make it greater. Im just saying, there is an annoying subsection of the community that seems to derive joy from outing modders. Its very strange.

yes I understand, I took and I also took mods (brabham bt62 , Porsche 961 , and other ...) some even sold them!!! but it’s like his! his will not bother me, I don’t do his share profit or recognition, just out of passion , I do the mods first for myself and then I share them with you ....
And I probably won’t encrypt my mods ! for sustainability (but may seem to understand this!)

Hi all! Just wanted to share that I made 28 skins for Pessio's EuroNASCAR mod. The skins are a fictive carset for a modern version of the NASCAR L-R Series. If you don't want the series branding, you can remove the banner.dds from the skin folders to make them match Whelen Euro Series cars. Thanks to everyone for making Assetto Corsa modding a great community!

Silly me, I quoted the wrong person :D It was more a point about what @CrisT86 said, about RD blocking modification of base content for copyright policies. All right, it's up to them, but in that case there is no modding of AC or any other game anymore on their website, so... Kthxbye much ?

@maximeerkat If RD, sorry... Overtake, wants to push out the modding community in favor of the IRacing/RaceRoom/ACC online gamers, good for them (and their servers, I guess). It will be unfortunate for the casual users who grab a mod or 2 sometimes, but for the diggers it wont change much, just another source down, a new one rise.

hi guys, does anyone know if there is an optimized version of GabenHood's Pikes Peak (DiRT Rally Conversion)? I have version 3.0 but it is very heavy graphically because there are no lods and other optimizations but the layout is spectacular. Thanks

to be fair the LMDh's we're originally leaked (if you downloaded the AC friends version) and also because of leakers like multiple leakers i've not publicly released a mod yet and kept discord exclusive because of idiots.

edit: to top it off next car might most likely will be encrypted because of what people are like nowadays. very demanding, impatient and basically got no brain on the definition of league exclusive or private mod.

don’t stop at that, but don’t forget that if you lock your mod it will end up in limbo sooner or later .... , we don’t know what the future is made of that would be a pity for the real passionate.
I don’t tell you what to do well on! I just tell you my way of thinking ...

yes, fair statement i agree infact i did not even correlate to it catering more for iracing e.t.c i probably should of done. I am speaking as one of those casual users who see's things from only my perspective. wrong move on my behalf

Good afternoon friends, I would like to clarify a doubt so as not to change too much in the "DATA" folder in the adjustment I am making for the Ferrari 312PB Le Mans 1973, in short.

Comparing with the Matra 670B (which has practically the same tire/wheel sizes as well as the settings in the "tires" file.

The big difference is that while the Matra 670b (runs without vibration on my "G27 steering wheel" the Ferrari 312PB (produces an annoying vibration) only decreases a little if you lower the front tire pressure by "2 or 3 points", but doing that, the temperatures of the same change a little.

If I decrease the "force feedback" of the car it softens a little.
But I wanted to know if any other configuration of the car can be changed, without having to make a specific adjustment for the "G27 steering wheel" just for this Ferrari.

Remembering, I used the Ferrari 312pb 1971/1972 as a "base car"....that doesn't happen.

Could it be that it was just the changes in the "tires" file, because I had to reduce the size so that the size I put was recognized (viewed in the showroom with the lines in green)?

The problems is there is no existing extension folder and ext_config.ini file, nor in the unpacked data file, that’s why I ask should I make one and were to put that.
Mine already had an extensions folder and file in it. I think I remember there was an update for these cars earlier this year.
