anyone knows whether this stage is available for AC?

which is the best Spa version with the old bus stop? :)

Concerning Bergheim: Yes and No. SIMTRAXX has converted this map to AC some time ago. BUT it was just a big freeroam map without any Rallye-like obstacles. I couldnt find it on their homepage anymore. Sorry. The folder name was simtraxx_bergheim.

take all my money just tell me how, where, when 😍

I'll try to swap the Michelin tires and logos for period correct Dunlop ones, when I have the time. This car is a real gem for Volvo-fanatics! Probably the only estate wagon to ever race in the BTCC, and they didn't even lose the championship. Then they went on to win it in 1998, with the S40, which is masterly recreated for AC by PM3DM/Patrik Marek.

And Tommy78 will probably be releasing his 240 turbo anytime soon. Oh happy days!

Yesterday: no more updates to this car

Today: there is 1 update for this car

nothing worse than a flip flopper lol.

This is just a quick adjustment to the number 1 "pay weekly" skin i had to sort it as it sent my ocd a little loopy if this doesnt bother you then ignore this i have only adjusted the "pay" on the back and moved the sticker ever so slightly nothing more.

download if you want it choose with or without AO and drag that over to CM.

Civic and Subaru Levorge be like
Also what do you mean they didn't even lose the championship? They finished in 8th overall at the end of the 94' season. They never had a championship in the first place that year 🤣. Even Peugeot did better than Volvo that year.

I mean, that they decided to enter the BTCC with an estate wagon, and didn't end up dead last is kind of impressive on its own.

Honda Accord STW update

I thought seeing as @Tetri managed to find the correct plaque i best do a small update to this

- added the .dds files to remove the autotrader on the headlights

- re-done the plaque and fiddled with the German flags

- adjusted the honda sticker on the front end while i was there

Drag and drop to install, if you want no AO change the name of the main skin file to "car_body_ao.DDS"

Can anyone suggest what I might try to lighten up the dark windscreen on this '58 Cooper T43 (f1_1958_cooper_t43 / f1_1958_cooper_t43_bop_1)? I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, I have some AI problems with blackcelica's Monaco. Most cars crash all over the place, as if they didn't see the walls, or as if they steer too soon.

I"ve checked all lines and boundaries and noted something wrong at the pits zone, the right border line crossing part of the pits. Anyways the other lines seem to be ok.

The cars I used were Bazza's 75 F1 and some others like the Kunos 312T and it's the same problem.

I've tried to check/uncheck AI behaviour but no dice. BTW I altered the steering lock as noted in previous posts.

Is there any other solution?

I can't remember the exact value, but with an extension file you can add a material adjustment to change the alpha level of the interior windscreen - let me know if you want more precise instructions and I'll sort them out when home.

Its almost like it was just a shell on top of a racing car chassis. You could of feasibly put an ice cream van on top of it and got similar results.
Hey, It looked great, was and still is great marketing ploy, but it was as much of a BTCC racing car as any of them. A shell is just a shell.

A shell is just a shell.
Not really, as it turned out the Estate had better aero than the sedan..

When Volvo released the T5 variant of their 850, the Swedish automaker wanted to boost its profile in order to gain market share. Instead of a traditional marketing campaign, Volvo took the 850 racing in the British Touring Car Championship.

How the decision to use the 850 estate came about wasn’t intentional though. Volvo commissioned Steffansson Automotive to develop a BTCC prototype, but when they went to collect a body shell only estate variants were left. This news quickly reached the Volvo board, who saw it as a golden opportunity to break the stereotype of only selling estates to middle-aged geography teachers.

As it turned though, the 850 estate’s long roofline actually proved advantageous, with the race car producing more downforce over the sedan equivalent. A longer wheelbase and more glass did equate to increased weight, but being below the minimum meant there was still opportunity to move ballast around.

From when the 850 estate first lined up on the BTCC grid at Thruxton Circuit in April 1994, competitors saw it as more of a marketing exercise than anything else. The Volvo team was undeterred, and as a tongue in cheek measure stuffed a toy Border Collie in the back for a parade lap.

Sadly, the 850 estate only saw competition for the one season, where Volvo placed sixth in the constructors championship. For the 1995 BTCC championship, TOCA altered the rules to permit additional spoilers, but these could not extend past the bumpers or the roofline. Sadly, any advantage the estate had was now gone, so the T5 850 sedan took its place for the next two seasons, where Volvo drivers frequented the podium more often.

I mean, yeah
If I could choose between that and an 850 estate, regardless of purpose... 🤣

I think 90% of grown Scandinavian men have owned a Volvo estate wagon at some point in life. I have owned a '97 V70 2.0l, which over time was painted in five different shades of blue, because of hard use and cheap repairs. Including my ex hitting a full grown horse with it. But the car was sold as fully functional, with an MOT, and not even rusted through anywhere, when I got rid of it at 350k km.

Try treating a Ford like that, and see if it's still a running car at 350k km... 👍
