@dragster666 Greets man,
Will be "good", at least, if you will include info when sharing AD mods there, that this is not last/outdated/unknown versions, which you found somewhere in web.
And that you not took them directly and don't have access for auto-updates.
Can't say about Saleen you shared, but 918 Spyder cabrio - is seems to be about 3 years old..
Have a nice time.

i found the saleen s7 on cs rin ru and the 918 on assetto db which uses the assettodrive models.

Yes and no. From what I've seen/read about this topic, once you get over around 225-250mph it takes gobs of horsepower just to eek out another couple mph due to wind resistance and tire capabilities. So while 278mph may look close to 300mph, it would probably take the equivalent power of several normal sedans to achieve that extra 22mph. That's also when tires become a limiting factor, it takes specially designed tires to hit these speeds and the tire engineers run into similar problems with eeking out those extra few mph. I believe the tires were one of the things keeping the Veyron from going faster than it did, I think James May discusses this when he took it to the VW test loop.

I remember a car magazine many many years ago mentioned the formula that every 10% speed increase requires 33% more power assuming all else stays the same. So say it takes 1160hp to get to 273mph it would take 1542hp to get to 300mph. and 2051hp to get to 330mph. This formula works even calculating from smaller figures.

So take the new 911 figures of 379hp and 182mph.

379hp 182mph
504hp 200mph
670hp 220mph
891hp 242mph
1185hp 266mph
1576hp 292mph

I already have the ad_saleen_s7, why should I replace it by the one in your pack, have you done modification to it? I cannot say, it looks identical.
Maybe having a list of what was done would be helpful.

Don't wanna judge you. You doing what lot of peoples doing or just repeating them and like they don't know lot of things "behind scene".
Without any advices, but assetto-db - old leaking/sharing source, which (seems still continue) compile quite old/outdated (may be some new) and etc mods.
It's every time not good to see, when peoples using outdated or unknown versions from Assettodrive, which also can be broken or deeply changed.
Soon AD kind of birthday (seems to be about 5 years) and time for renewal of domain and services (let me try to make you understand, that such behaviour, like shown by you - for all this time doing this period "a little bit" harder..). Let's not go deeper in this topic, but as modest "gift" will share there last available version of 918 Spyder roadster.
---
What is there:
Suspension geometry is similiar to KS 918 (setup, including springs rates and mostly all - are different). 4WD configuration like in KS release. All else (almost all) is custom (from 2015 release and updates). Car feels in another way and shortly can be described, as more "gently" or for "everyday ride like". Be patience, this one is going with one LOD and this is high poly model (about 400-500k polys). This version also going with extension file for CSP (Custom Shaders Patch). You can save this link, be cause when/if any update will out later - it will be the same:

Pass:assettodrive

Honestly, not best example from list of released cars, but it's good enough to enjoy it physically, aesthetically and hope, that you will too ..

Best regards.

I find I have to unpack data quite often to fix things that the original modders missed (eg hands/wheel in synch, janky shifting animations) so if modders ARE going to start encrypting their mods then I hope they make sure they are nigh-on perfect, or respond to requests for updates when errors are reported.
You expect too much from a community that won't even add functional wipers to their cars. Take for example the Supra in that Drift World Tour mod posted few pages back. All that is needed is to literally copy the animation file from the kunos supra into the wdt supra folder, but mod author still too lazy to do even that before release.

I'm gonna be a 'negative nancy' here, but encryption is not a good thing for mods and is counter-productive. It prevents people from being able to improve abandoned work and/or collaborate to create a better mod such as people here do. Encryption, much to the dismay of the original mod author, is just gonna give people more reason to pirate mods and only encourages people to find a way to decrypt the files.

Why not. Because in AC you can. Putting aside going flat out, shaving tenth's off on the track and nailing every apex flat - takin' her back to her roots
I would have filled the track but the audio goes wack with stalled dead cars.

Cale gets some figure 8 action:D

I always wanted a track like this but with bail out ramps on the sides so in case you just had no chance to beat other cars you could jump over them instead :scared:

you don't need to replace it you can just paste the other two tt and tt lm.
and yes it is the same one from ad its just that the tt was nowhere found so i had to dig up cs rin ru for the saleen s7 tt i later did a modification to the tt to make it as close as possible to the tt lm the car was never tested so we don't know how much fast it accelerates maybe the claimed top speed is not true but i highly disagree with that.
Because the s7 can be heavily tuned and believe it or not cheap to fix just like a muscle car surprisingly it shares a lot of parts from different 2000s muscle cars.

Hot damn, a figure 8 track with massive ramps?! nice idea 💡
It was just a fun change from always looking for the next tenth. Saw the track, had the car and thought, thats how they do it.

Hopefully this will not be a new trend because I'm not even going to bother with it. Equally as disturbing, I've seen a couple postings elsewhere that had a qr code for the download...not even sure what to do with it but whatever I'm old school

One thing about that qr code, bar code whatever it is... the guy posted it is really protective of his download links. I wonder if it tracks who downloads it...things are getting weird man

yes but if you want to protect your mod at least do a A class mod
I lost the number of car mods i deleted cause they lack of wipers animation, LODs, Seatbelts, working lights, and so on (and tracks for the same bad quality or laziness or the modders/converters)
Due to the evolution that AC had in the last period with the implementation of CSP and SOL older mods need to be reworked to be useful in the new environment AC now has so a car mod without proper lights and wipers isn't good even for AI nowadays
It reminds me the days Kunos added the dashcam and still modders made bad mods without the dashcam so we had all those creepy under the wheels visuals in bad modded cars

If a mod is old and abandoned a good modder like the ones we have here at GTP can take the best ones and upgrade them but if a mod is ecnripted and the modder who did it is lazy to implement things that now are really useful or he abandon his mod incomplete the mod itself will remain a piece of garbage forever
And some cars DESERVE a A class mod cause they are A class cars in automotive history

Thx for this Showmebest66 keep going your nice work...I always was impressed for your hard working quality mods...im planning to buy all your cars in the future because they are simply perfect cars... I hope you can update them to the latest standards Shader Patch in the future.
Best Asetto Corsa modders in my opinion...Asseto drive (AD), Race Sim Studio (RSS), United Racing Design (URD), Beto Fernandez (BetoFR), Alberto Daniel Russo (A3DR) , Dareks´s Car Mods, Geroda74, RallyeLegends (RL), Virtual Racing Cars (VRC), RTM Mods (RTM), Shaun Clarke, Sim Dream Development.

sim dream and rtm? nope they aren't i only wish that assettogarage improved their quality of mods.

Hey there,
You may be too kind with your words...TY!
Honestly your list looking "a bit" weird, especially in last part of it. It's not full, you forget some good guys from RD and few teams (may be they creating cars not in your taste). Well.. this is not "top", but let me share mine opinion there only about top "team", which developing street legal cars and this is - yes, A3DR and Co. Do not know nobody yet, who working so fast and creating such beautiful 3D models at all modding scene now. With that he is co-develope them with wonderful physics's guy, known as Aphidgod.. Pretty nice sound guy (hope, he will make proper 993 sound) also in, but seems he is highly limited by time.

Thanks again, see you.) You know all contacts and ways of "how-to"..

Showmebest66 A.K.A. Asetto Drive. Those were his payware updates that AC Car Mods posted.

Seems, you are little wrongly informed by someone. Updates never were "paid" (If only one, if not wrong, times ago, but there was need in it). Updates linked to car's lists, where shown all members and those data base of them used for updates-emailing and notifications. All kind of leaks (seems were hundreds ..) without any permissions (instead one league and Very few "tuning" versions). You can more or less imagine what is involved relative updates, if will watch "Other" section at site. It's boring and not completely full, but how it is.

Oops you're right, I didn't mean to imply that you charge money for you updates. I just meant that they posted your mods that had the newest updates included.

are you making anything new?

Do any of you have the BTCC Legends 3 mod by SimDream?

I've noticed something try it. Go into the showroom and look at the interior of all of the cars, I swear only one interior has been done and then just copied and pasted to the rest of the cars.

I guess I'll be waiting for the BTCC cars from Race Department, once they are done.

Not entirely correct.
Most of them are indeed (almost) the same. Some stickers are different :D
The Mondeo's 1988 and 1999 have a TOYOTA sticker on the panel
The Volvo 850 is a RHD, the S40 is a LHD.

What they all have in common is that they look very basic, low poly, ugly skins and not really on par with actual 'standards'.
For a paymod it's a disgrace imo...

Here's the Mondeo:

And the MONDEO interior:
