Alfa Romeo Montreal (1967) v1.5

Back with some classic Italian flair, beauty and performance.

Alla mia signora speciale. ;-)

Alfa Romeo makes arguably the most beautiful cars, their cars evoke such uncompromising passion. This is no different. It was an instant classic then and even more so today. Even if you're not into Italian cars, if your heart doesn’t skip a beat when you see a Montreal, you’re not a car enthusiast. This Alfa is sex on wheels.

I remember the first time I fell in love with this car watching an old film, The Marseille Contract, then saw it again in Atomic Blonde and started working on the best version I could put together in Assetto Corsa. I get such a kick out of driving it in VR with an h-shifter.

If you like the Montreal just a fraction as much as I do, it will hopefully make you happy to drive this updated version. I'll add some photos and videos to wet your appetite!

In this version of the Alfa Romeo Montreal (1967) here are some of the changes:
Improved wheels 3d model
Fixed floating wheels
Fixed wheel blur on front left wheel
Improved physics
Adjusted ride height
Fixed driver side mirror position
Optimised all texture formats
Fixed tyres slightly floating off the ground
Fixed missing shadows for wheel centre caps
Changed default setup to best tyres and highest aero downforce
Matched steer lock for driver animation
Switched to clean glass for windscreen
Added exhaust shake
Improved livery icons
Remastered all licence plates

Another classic from this modder. Unlike nearly every other car in AC (and especially the FWD's), you can actually adjust your line mid-corner with the throttle (you know, like in a real car). I have no idea how this guy manages to do it right every time. Just when I start thinking the problem is the underlying physics engine, this guy shows it can be done.

I wish he'd do a proper early Porsche 930. Every one I have is plagued with endless understeer and (get this) no lift-off oversteer. In a car that was infamous for that handling trait. What a joke.

Its OK to drive IMO also it has 3MB more of data compared to FD2 of few days back but the folder name is the same.Sound is awful I change it in CM to GMP S2000 and its good.
Also it has almost 1500kgs (Real one has 1270)and some specs are off official ones gonna edit that and try...
Any ideas how to remove that FFB spikes in corners and abs?I get that a lot on FWD mod cars. Thanks
EDIT-after adjusting weight to 1270 kg car drive not so well also ffb is light and spikes and clipping even more pronounced gonna revert it ...

Sitrep, I've converted 12 varients of 8 new trucks and loads of skins, none of them mine.
Ford 18 skins
Iveco 14 skins
MAN 11 skins
Merc 12 skins
Scania 10 skins
VW 23 skins
V2 volvo 8 skins

Added a winged varient for each, need to finish flames and suspensions and then I can release as grid fillers if people want.
The cockpits for the new additions will take me longer as I have little free time. I will get them finished.

Do you know how to rotate mirrors?
Side mirrors are some 45° off

Wow you're doing a fantastic job....congratulations,I can't wait to be able to test it:bowdown::cheers:👍:gtpflag:

I guess it has wheel blur so everything must be perfect.
Why would you say that, has any one pretended that it is perfect?
This mod is not any more perfect than 99% of the mods we have access to, at best, like any of them, it is a work in progress.
Thank you for the mirror fix, that was annoying.

You might be able to rotate the mirror object physically in your modeling program of choice. It may be possible to do that in 3DSimEd (I fixed a couple of misplaced objects including mirror objects this way in the past but as I remember only had to translate them without having to rotate them but I believe this should be trivial).

Import kn5 file to 3DSimEd, rotate mirror object as needed, export in proper format to be able to import and export it through ksEditor (for some reason I always had to go through ksEditor, I forgot why) - check in CM custom showroom that mirror objects are still properly named and linked to files in data.acd then test in game.

EDIT: whoops, didn't see GzeroD's post ;-) Maybe it still helps some though ;-)
