seems decent, a layout for older F1 races, and cant say no to him adding a lights config :)
just updated the config for the old version, looking good

AC is a driving simulator, its not just about circuit racing, and it doesn't even do a great job at circuit racing. Most of the best driving roads are mountain passes like Transfagarasan, LA Canyons, all the different Touges in Japan and none of those are "fictional"
Can't say I agree with that. No where is AC marketed as a driving simulation. It has however been marketed as a racing simulation. And if it wasn't about circuit racing then why is every Kunos track, with the exception of one, a circuit course?

Yes there are road cars, but that in itself doesn't classify the game as a driving simulation, because there are club races and track days hosted on many of the official tracks included, where people in reality could take the road cars featured in the game and race them. And realistically anyone can see the road cars were included because mass appeal and Kunos' attempt at reaching a wider market so they could financially support development of the simulation.

it does a pretty ****** job as a racing sim, I mean, it doesn't even support rolling start!

And that is your criteria for what makes a racing simulation? Well, then, it also doesn't have animated pit crews. What do you have to say about that?

The base game is a racing game with street cars tossed in. Once you start modding it then it becomes whatever you want it to be. With all the mod content and apps and things like SOL/CSP it's really impossible to toss any kind of a label on AC at this point. It's YOUR car game, do with it as you please. It's really a jack of all trades (master of none). :)

I say none of this prevents me from racing friends or bots around tracks or streets or hills or toilet seats (yes, it exists!). :D

Edit: This is the one that was deleted from RD:

Earlier I messed up and linked the original. Sorry for the confusion. This is my upload of the file I downloaded from RD before they removed it. There are some changes to the original but I didn't check it thoroughly.

2013 Honda HSV-010GT GT500 v0.05 Alpha (EARLY ACCESS)

That Honda HSV 010GT from Chivas Autoart is really coming along great! I had to fix the tire blur for it though so I'll share it here with anyone that may want it.

Furthermore the sound isn't all that hot for it right now so here is a nice replacement for the time being.

I'm having issues with cockpit windscreen reflections on the HSV and on his BNR34 so I'd be interested if anyone else here is. It seems to be rare, there have only been a couple of reports (Fanapryde has the same problem). It's the old issue where the glass reflects the road surface so it's like driving through a snow storm. Please let me know.
Both cars also vibrate quite badly around 20mph, so if you could please check that too.
They are coming along really nicely though, really great work.

Does it drive better than their previous Nissan GT500? Because that one was pretty bad (compared to URD's JT5, which is fairly awesome).

Thanks, driving at night is a good solution... :D
Thing is, that (don't know when it started, but I just noticed a couple of days ago) probably a CSP version causes issues on this track and some others (Mendig e.g.), where trees or tree lines, spectators and other objects suddenly appear and disappear.
My first thought was that it was my system (though it's fully up to date), but also @Masscot had the same experience, maybe some others too ?
(I'm on triple setup).
