I have the same probleme with MCAfee

Yeah, it's really annoying. Fortunately it only takes a second to restore the quarantined files and I'm on my way again. Thankful I found the culprit though, because I thought it was a virus beforehand and was kind of freaking out when I couldn't find it.

Hey there,

Quick fix. Now that I'm tinkering with GT1 cars I just noticed that the Nissan R390 GT1 '97 included in Legion's pack is using Michelin tyres, although it used Bridgestone in reality. I couldn't let that detail slip, especially because it was hurting my eyes seeing the Bridgestone sponsorhip decals on the side yet seeing the michelin wheel spinning, so I fixed it with the according textures. :gtpflag:

I spoke to Legion and I shared the file with him, so that he can update his GT1 pack to include this detail.

Right, back to work on the GT1s! Stay safe fellas.

2nd gear does not auto shift up to 3rd gear. How can I fix it?

Like I wrote, I have AI set at 100% and I have no idea how to make 'm go faster. Wherever I find optimised AI lines, I install them to check. In several cases AI behaves better (or worse) but very seldom faster. And in all cases it also depends on the used car.
I test all my cars on the same track, same conditions, stock setup to compare laptimes.
Even when I know I'm not the fastest driver, my lap times are consistent and after a few laps to get used to a new car, I will be lapping at a pace that stays within a few hundreds of a second.

I wish there was a way in AC to speed up AI like in rF2, where a slider lets you move them up to 130%. Impossible for me to keep up with them but at 100-120% (depending on car/track) I have a real race on my hand. Very difficult to qualify in pole and even then they are constantly on your tail. Very rewarding to get a win there :)
Have you try this mod?
It's really easy, it's just a text file
You can customize AI track by track, if value is 0.9, it's mean 90% of max value, so you can go to value of 1.2, to get 20% more than max etc

edit 1.1 seems to be the max the AI can handle, so 110% unsteed of 100% better than nothing :/

Now i'm confused again lol. Turns out I didn't have the Mustang but thought I did. The skins are in the liveries section of the weebly site but not the actual Mustang model. :boggled:

Editing this to say I give up!!! No mustang skins after all Just some text to say the 2019 Mustang is there. but after downloading it isn't
Told ya I was confused lol

Though it would appear, at first glance, a bit misleading, the text actually doesn't say that the Mustang is included. It states that 2019 is the debut year for the Ford Mustang. They've placed similar descriptors for previous year skins when it was the debut year for a given model, even if it wasn't actually included in any of their packs at the time.

The thumbnails of all the included skins are also displayed directly below the text, which has to be scrolled past to get to the download link - in this case separated into two groups, those for the Holden (26 skins) and those for the Nissan (five skins).

They could do with including a text description at the top indicating the models for which skins are included, to prevent any such confusion (putting the "Ford Mustang Debut Year" descriptor, if they wish to continue to include it, in parentheses right next to the year, followed by the description of the actual pack contents).

Yeah, I tried that on a few tracks when Itcars posted it. But I either did not do it well, or it didn't work well. I recall no big changes. Tbh I forgot all about it after a while because I did not see me make all these changes for the massive amount of tracks I had.
Thanks for reminding me, maybe I can try again... But it would be so much easier to have a AI strength slider that goes far enough like other sims.

Yeah I just assumed without really looking properly lol. I do that a lot, get excited and then post something, then I go back and look and yep sure enough I got it wrong :banghead:

It's all good though as I'm hoping now that we have all shown interest that the group will release the Mustang and some skins for it but we shall have to see :D

Hey guys, is there any well explained sound modding tutorial?? ACFan tutorial is just hard to understand, for educational purposes I extracted the sound bank of his mods and all of them contain many samples, what the hell does he do to not mix the sound when releasing gas and pushing gas?? I simply cant understand, or am I too dumb? My samples are great but I dont really know what to do apart from engine interior sound and many other simple ones....

Notes:
I have decided that I will include the RD skin here in my mod package after some decision. seco46, if you read here and do not want have your skin included in my mod, PM me and I will remove it.

I did a couple of laps (stock settings) on vanilla Imola (because It's a Ferrari !) with a great pleasure, thank you !

I got no issue/or message during the loading with it (I'm using CSP 0.1.46 with the very last version of CM), all my drivers are up to date (last nVidia released today !).

I just noted two (little) issues :
- no indication about using the lights (dashboard got the led but, here, It doesn't appear),
- no glowing brakes.

I repeat, the car is a pleasure to drive, to see and to hear (^^), thanks a lot again ! ;)

Thanks for the response! :) I didn't notice because I haven't used it. Well, time to look up and fix it. :D

Yep, gonna mirror what fanapryde and Elio said. Feels really good to drive and sounds great too. It even brakes properly - unlike some of the GT4 cars that have been released recently ;) but those are fine for the AI to drive.
Just needs some more skins and it will be even better.
All in all a properly good job

Whilst I think about it did you, or anyone else ever find a better sound for your Callaway Corvette?

It will be better to ask it in the appropriate section on GT Planet or elsewhere and... MY best could be not YOUR best.

As a masochist who learnt virtual driving essentially on "Grand-Prix Legends" and mods on "NASCAR Racing 2003" (Papyrus), I suggest you "Dirt Rally".
It requires some skills and humility.

Some guys will tell you the second opus (the FFB is crap as hell and the game is full of bugs), others the old "Richard Burns Rally" and again others WRC by Kyloton Studio.

Cheers. ;)

Thanks. I'm a road racing guy (I was on the GPL beta team), not a rally guy. I'm interested in what Assetto guys have to say about rally sims, not what rally guys have to say. I'm funny that way.

A CM related question.
I used to have the CM fps counter (Previous session's performance) in the tab line of CM.
Now it's gone, I can only see the result in settings/video.
Is it disabled by CM updates or did I forget to check a box somewhere (can't find it). Several of my CM settings were reset btw...

I have Blamers fps counter running while driving, but sometimes I quit before looking at the results. CM's counter helped me out in that case..

With the latest CM updates from the last week, you can now display FPS readings in the UI header. At the end of every session, you see average FPS, and if I remember correctly, a right click on that will also display the high and low FPS figures too.

You have to switch that display n in the CM options where it says something like 'display FPS'. Not at my racing PC right now, so I can't be more specific than that.

EDIT: After reading more of the thread, I just discovered others had already posted this suggestion.
