BLM Lights new version now handles ext_config.ini too
BLM Lights 1.15.2

  • ver. 1.15.2
    • Now also handles configurations that come with tracks as assettocorsa\content\tracks\[TRACK_FOLDER]\extension\ext_config.ini
    • Other detections of duplicated options
ext_config.ini configurations have the priority being loaded by CSP over config files found inside tracks/loaded or tracks folder.

The first time an ext_config.ini file is found a copy of the original file is created as ext_config.ini.original.

Shaun Clarke has updated his Ginetta G55 GT4 to version 2.0 (from v1.2). Download file does not include change log, so I don't know what has been updated.

https://shaunclarke35.wixsite.com/website/downloads

If you don't have previous version, the download link from Shaun Clarke site doesn't contains associated font for the Ginetta GT4.
Attached is the missing font for anyone that need it.

Good find.
One thing i can tell you, even if the idea of drifting isn't your thing.
The drift modding community on AC their attention to details is astounding for the most part.

So aside from if you like to go sideways all the time (which i do from time to time) the cars they model are really rather eclectic and wonderful.

They will put all sorts of race kits onto the most bland of cars and put cool wheels on them etc etc add roll cages...
All you need to do then is fiddle and change physics (or set up) to race car...and you have a nice racing car good to go...for personal use obviously...

That page is a whole smorgasbord of nuts looking cars all ready to be drifted..or turned into race cars!! Love it!

for example...i am going to get this into the TCL70 group..currently drift spec but not for long..

I totally agree. AC Drift modders have a lot of passion and display a great deal of creativity in their mods. The quality and attention to detail can be all over the map but the same can be said of most mods. I'd be happy to have a copy of that Celica to race against my RX-7 and other vintage Japanese coupes when you're ready to share it. ;)

What assurance can you offer that these cars will adhere to the same BoP as the Guerilla/Rollovers GT4s?

It’s about the same speed as the Kunos GT4 cars on my setup and the Guerilla cars can join in on those races with no problem. In the testing I did for the McLaren, it was a little faster than the AMG GT4.

I honestly don’t get why people keep going on about there being two different BoPs when I haven’t changed anything on either camp’s cars and they’re all running somewhat competitively. (Within 2 seconds)

For me the Kunos Cayman is the outright fastest GT4 car, with most of the Guerilla cars filling in the space between it and the Maserati.

Hi Guys. I found this on FB. Its a mod link site for Drifters ("Assetto Corsa Drifting Guide"). There are hundreds of cars and dozens of tracks.

The celica is a very good find, I have been looking for ages but was never able to get one. I would really appreciate this car or if you could tell me exactly where to find it on the site as there are so many groups to search through. When I was younger I had a celica st and then a celica1600gt, such fond memories!!

3. I don't have any of the following tracks:
- Losail International Circuit
- Phakisa Freeway
- Euro Ring Hungary
- Kastleburg
- Lemalands
- Mount Drama
- Toban Raceway
- Wakefield Park

That would be all, sorry for the long post.

Here:

very good work @M4MasterKey ! thank you very much
but it seems that the skins are very very "heavy" (87mo)
They are. They use 8.8.8.8 compression in 4096x4096. It's a choice of best quality possible to avoid any compression artifact. You could reduce their size and save them in DXT5. 2048x2048 DXT5 is around 5-6 MB IIRC, that's 10 times less heavy. But quality isn't the same. Your choice.

I'm currently working on a skin for Zolder, already done vegetation overhaul, new kerb and road but still working on it.
If someone got good picture with details that could be use for texture, espacially in the pit or around the pits in grand stand etc
I would be really glad to put my hand on it.

In the pipes for the billboards:
-blancpain GT version
-DTM version

If you got something else you want to see, just ask.

PS: working on pascal version of the track, I personnaly think it's the most accurrate one.
Are you going to animate the wind turbines?
[translation: please animate the wind turbines]

Which Celica are you looking for? Assettoland has 8 different Celicas on their site:

Great job on the 488 acc conversion. Thnx

Thank you very much for the links, that's very kind :)

After downloading and testing all these tracks I decided that I will try to edit Phakisa, Lemalands, Mount Drama, Toban and Wakefield, if I have enough time for everything. Losail and Kastleburg don't really look good enough to spend time editing them, hopefully these harsh words don't upset anyone.

Euro Ring looks absolutely awesome, but it seems that the mod creator has updated the track himself and now it has 30 pits, great! Only remark I have is that I very often got some weird, purple-pink textures on some of the curbs and tarmac, but maybe it will be fixed.

So, to sum up - the list of things to do expands in almost the same pace as the universe. I will try to complete it though. However, first I need to learn how to edit these tracks in such a way, that it won't upset multiplayer gaming, as @slider666 rightfully pointed out. Wish me luck :D

The skins are absolutely gorgeous but overkill for my VR HMD. Is there a chance you might release a 2k skin pack?
Failing that, is anyone here at GTP up for converting them?

@deCarrera ironically, that's what i downloaded!:D

To who is working on that Adria rf2 conversion, consider doing some cameras for all the layouts
Oh really? I haven't even bothered to test that update yet, just assumed it was OK :boggled:
Well, you can go back to my original version and give that a try. Seating position was fine in that one.

He means this lovely one:

Could anyone please tell me if the track still works fine after my changes? Because if it does work, then I will start adding pit boxes and start positions to other tracks. I just want to be sure that I didn't mess anything up before I proceed to another track.

On the front straight I get a rail in the road. Then there are trees in the sky after that. Then on the back portion of the track there is all kinds of stuff not in place...bushes and grandstands on the race track. You ride through the stuff on the track.
