This is an update for the Denver Pepsi Center street track that "Gutbomb" provided for us. This update now makes the AI cars go around the track better without any or minimum incidents. Cars that I have tested so are GT3 cars, and several of my F1 cars I have and seem to work pretty well. I did not need to use any AI hints on this track at this time and certain cars like Abarths or Mazda Cup may want to tip up on 2 wheels the first lap then they dont do it. Gutbomb tracks are on page 1041 if you dont have. This is the link to the original tracks on gtplanet.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/assetto-corsa-pc-mods-general-discussion.307899/page-1041

This RAR file from my Google drive has the new AI files, new side lines, new SURFACES file, and has the new camera files by Dabaeda(work great). Just add or replace them into the proper track folders. This is the Google link.

My update seems to works pretty good so far. Ran 21 AI cars and went around the track very well. One thing I have noticed with the track is the pit entrance and exit is not meshed smoothly together with main track, so there is a bump on either end of the pits. Main track is very good.

Let me know if there are any problems.
Take care.

PS changed the google link properties, Does it work now?

Dude, thanks a lot. I've been working on the Denver Street Circuit all day since you guys have been talking about it and I'll be getting to the Pepsi Center one after that. Do you mind if I include this stuff in a release version?

Man, I can't keep up with you guys, lol. Sorry if I missed a message I should be replying to. I'll go back through later.

Great fun, but I'm getting really poor FPS. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

@xezez, I can definitely tell the track is putting a little more strain on my rig, but not too bad. Are you using one of the _plus layouts?

Hi,

That was exactly what I've done.
In fact, in weather FX, now I have this.

... So, it is ok.

But, in game, this is what I have.

In page 6, is still there the option to chose from 2D clouds or 3D clouds. The previous sol config.

Now I am confused. Thank you for the help. :) What should I do?

Cheers

Well then I am also confused, My first try would be to extract just the 'apps' folder from the new Sol download again and copy it into the AC directory and overwrite because those are still old app versions you have showing. Make sure to reset Sol config after on the last page just to make sure after.

Did you ever install any Sol thing with drag and drop in CM or jsgme method before?

I was using the standard full layout Teddie... I think!

EDIT: I just tried 'Full Plus' and it's actually giving me about the same FPS as the regular 'Full'... which means they're both 'Too Full'. :dopey:

(With one car –the Dallara Stradale– at 7.40am with SOL scattered clouds, I'm only getting around 57fps. With well optimised tracks, I normally get anything from 100-120fps.)

Guys, has anyone set themselves up a good grid of 90's prototype C's? Beyond the Mazda 787B, Benz C9, Nissan NP35, and the Porsche 962? There were others, right? Any proto.c junkies that can help me expand my current grid?

There are Toyota 88C-V and Lancia LC2 in Assettoland, also couple of Nissan R91CPs somewhere, Jaguar XJR-9... Those come to my mind right now.

And Legion also has an awesome C11!

I am in the process of converting quite a few virtua_lm group c cars, if anyone wants to help drop me a pm, need physics and textures redoing more than anything.

Also legion has a few on his blog and I will check my pre made le mans grids later for you.

hi, can somebody said to me if is there any version for Corvette Prototype 2015 USCC and if do, where I can find some skins?thanx in advance
Oh boy, if you don't know about the pack from IER, you are in for a threat. In general opinion, one of top mod packs around. It's 2014 season, but most of the cars comply to the 2015 as well. Take this pack (it has your corvette inside):

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ier-car-pack-1-uscc-mod.7348/

Add their IER paid HPD Ark (still one of the best paid mods around, a must buy IMO):

https://www.iersimulations.com/p13c-home.html

And their Porsche America Cup car, to add a little multi class racing variety:

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/porsche-911-gt-america-ier-simulations-uscc-mod.27798/

Sadly never found the Ford Riley ecoboost version worth while to complete the pack, the only one I know is from RTM or Simdream, but that one is not good IMO.

So sad that IER is not developing anymore. Hopefully just taking a break. They put so much effort an passion into these USSC cars, that they simply could not fail.

?
Theres a car or two that shouldn't be under the C's

Is there any decent Mazda-Lola b09/86 mod out there (aside from RTM one)?

I tinkered with it for a while and even though i gave AI some upshift parameters, the car can't shift from 2nd to 3rd

Hello,
i have a couple of early 90's Prototype C (coming from Virtua_LM), converted from Kenneth (DKS) am physics redone by me. These are: Allard J2X-C, Nissan P35 (not the NP35), Jaguar XJR-12, Jaguar XJR-14, Peugeot 905 EVO 2, Toyota TS010, Chevy Intrepid, Nissan GTP-ZX Turbo from 1990. I have also from LTK the Nissan GTP from 1985 and Nissan R91CP (also R92CP) also physics done by me because the dan bucsa and rtm are rubbish physics... Are you interested in these cars?

I'm not doing anything special. In sketchup I export as fbx, in xpacker I import it and then when I export my project from RTB into kseditor it still has the jpegs, so I don't think it's being refused at all.

Note: it's been a long time since I did it so maybe there was part of my workflow where I changed to DDS now that I think of it but I don't remember.

Edit: I actually did have a process, just remembered. xpacker and RTB don't mind jpg files, but kseditor does so after exporting from rtb I run this: https://vvvv.org/contribution/dds-converter on the texture directory and then do a find and replace for .jpg and .png in the ini kseditor persistence file that's generated by RTB and change them to .dds. then i load it into kseditor.
really helpful, thanks!

Every car should have a data folder. Could be data.acd which means you have to unpack that first in CM.
thanks unpacked it, and the setting was already active.. but, 100% you can paddle the car into reverse while it is moving forward, even with that on.. guess I just have to learn to drive properly ;)

We're not working on it at the moment. In this last version the ability to do pitstops was fixed, but somehow we can't edit this version properly in Blender. There are some minor things that need fixing though. For example the kerbstone on the left side of the track after T3 seems to be named incorrectly as it's 'soft', and I'm sure there are other things too as well as making it look better (or add a racinggroove for example)
We're sure the guys at rF2 will update the track themselves too as there are still some wall pieces and Tecpro barriers missing. When they do so we're looking to implement them into this version. But other than that, we're happy to let anyone work on the track if they want to do so :)

I don’t have Zandvoort in Rfactor2, so I can’t check track files structure. But I believe that this new content has the same structure as other new tracks, for example Monaco. I tried to extract the files to open in 3Dsimed, but this did not work, because the new tracks have a different file structure. Zandvoort has regular files, like old tracks, or did you find a way to open new files? Can you open Monaco in 3Dsimed?

VW Beetle version 3.0 updated from assetto-fr.tk

This little gem has flown under a radar a bit i think. It's been out for a couple of months now on Assettoland and at least i didn't take time to drive it with all the excellent content coming out daily. But i'm sure glad i finally did. This is such an addictive fun car, well made in every aspect, that i just had to advertise it here. If this is your cup of tea, be sure to try it. Here's my lap around Tsukuba. Great track/car combo:

Find it on Assettoland, first car in VW category:

https://assettoland.wixsite.com/assettoland/volkswagen

Yeah, I've always loved this car. Fantastic set of skins too.
I can't remember it being sequential though? Anyway, it's a two-minute fix to set it to H-gate where the fun really lies.

ITC 1996 slightly modified

If you don't like stories skip the next three paragraphs.:lol:

Let me start off by saying that i'm a huge fan of touring cars and especially DTM and BTCC. And that the 90s were my favourite period of racing in general, and of course of touring cars. So as a teenager through most of the 90s, i tried to watch and read all about these championships at the time and still have nostalgia for the time period of best racing in history IMO.

And as such the ITC ambitious project was of course high on my radar, as on probably everybody else's as well. When DTM was promoted to ITC, many were sceptical, but the popularity of DTM series was so high, that the people in charge thought that it was still a good idea. Sadly it was to ambitious, the money needed for a manufacturer to run in the championship was getting close to F1 (knowing that a manufacturer had to supply 3,4,5 teams instead of just 1 in F1). So this project died after only two years with Alfa Romeo and Opel pulling out after 1996 season because of high costs. But we had these two years of excellent racing on some of the most iconic tracks in the world.

Now to add to all this, Alfa 155 was part of this. My top 3 favourite car of all time, so my excitement was even bigger. As i started sim racing, one of my first jobs was to find and try to recreate these two seasons, especially the 1996 one.

The Alfa 155 TI EVO

@GzeroD did an excellent job in recreating this and i had a lot of fun driving these. Probably one of the best mod packs that can be had for free in AC. But what bothered me was, that the Alfa used in the pack was not the 1996 version of the car. The 155 from Kunos is the 1993/94 version of the car, that was slightly modified for the 1995 season. And that one is used in the Legion's pack. But for 1996 Alfa brought the EVO version of the car. The one with the ugly front that looked like the bull with the horns. Legion's car also didn't have the right liveries.

So i searched if the model of this car exists, and i found it on AC, it was made from FVandelli, but it got removed pretty fast as it was not complying to their rules. I managed to download it from somewhere and i don't know where (if somebody knows where, let me know, want to link to the original car) and it looked very authentic to me, it also had all the correct liveries. But i didn't like how it drove, it was not an Alfa 155 IMO. So i made a personal project of modifying and tuning it bit by bit for a long time. Some modifications were authentic from what i could find online, others were on my own personal opinion on how this car should drive. I used data from all sorts of other cars, as i never planned to release this, so i don't know all all what i changed, as i didn't keep track (so sadly can give proper credit, also why i was reluctant to release the car). I shared it with a couple of my friends and later a few users here on GTP tried it and all thought it was not bad at all, one friend is absolutely in love with the car and is bugging me to release it here. So i guess here it is, for those that want to try it (it's ugly i know, but that is the way the car really looked):

The rest of the pack

To create an authentic full championship you need The Opel Calibra and the Mercedes C-Class. Both can be found on Legions blog. If you heaven't, try all 3 cars, also his Alfa, they are all excellent. The Opel needs a window fix if you are running temporal antialiasing in CM. Find it in the attachment (put the ini in the Documents/assetto corsa/cfg/extention/cars folder).

Preset and BOP

Also here is the preset with all correct liveries, driver names and strengths from the actual season. @GzeroD did a great job BOPing the cars, but the EVO needs a little restriction to run competitively (especially cause i wanted to recreate the actual balance from the season - Alfa is slower on the straights, but faster through corners):

The tracks

To create the full championship you of course need the tracks. Here is the list.

Rounds:
1 and 2: Hockenheim (DTM Layout), 38 laps
3 and 4: Nurburgring (GT Short), 22 laps
5 and 6: Estoril, 23 laps
7 and 8: Helsinki Thunder, 32 laps
9 and 10: Norisring, 44 laps
11 and 12: Diepholz, 28 laps
13 and 14: Silverstone (90s classic layout), 20 laps
15 and 16: Nurburgring (GT Short), 22 laps
17 and 18: Magny-Cours, 24 laps
19 and 20: Mugello, 20 laps
21 and 22: Hockenheim (88 layout full), 15 laps
23 and 24: Interlagos, 24 laps
25 and 26: Suzuka, 18 laps

Prety impressive list, right? (all available for AC, if you can't find it, i can give you a link).

Also if you want to rewatch, all the races are on youtube, most in full:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=itc+1996

All the credits go to GzeroD and FVandelli and all that created the tracks.

Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you, I really appreciate your work with these posts. Could I leave a rating it'd be 6 stars!
I only wish we could store them somewhere because they get lost inside this huge amount of posts

Is the console version bad? I convinced one of my friends to try AC. He's gonna buy it on console.
Well this depenends. In a few lines:
- no mods (and by no, i mean none, zero),
- 30 fps cap,
- no CM
- no CSP
- no SOL
- no CrewChief
-...

Try to imagine how much you would play AC without these. The engine is the same and the official content, but that's it. I would be long gone from AC, if PC version was like that.

I recommend enable the h shifter with this car. It benefits enormously by setting it. This car needs heel and toe to get the most out of it.

What? amazing coincidence
