the Stratus is a good shout. that's very obscure. (still hoping they do the Accord MK5 to add to the MK6) Another obscure is the Mazda Familia only ever raced in JTCC

Not singling you out, as you are not the only one who appear to think that CM drag and drop does not work.
Just want to mention that I have used it, many times a week, when not daily, for years, to install tracks and cars, new and update, without having a single issue.
To me, the drag and drop so called issues are just an other urban legend.
Its not a legend if you have thousands of customers and thousands of reports of wrong installs.

Its actually not a legend, there are just different factors:

Just try a blank Windows 11 install and all default onboard virus and user protection tools activated. MS Defender, Smart screen and so on. You already got proplems extracting files from a zip file. And i can just tell you, because of my support work for Pure and i also tested it on VMs and it does not extract all files (without any warning).

Also think about the difference if you use Windows as a user or you log in as an admin!

And then you have the factor, where AC is installed. You have a high chance of wrong installs if AC is installed in the standard steam folder (C:\Programs ...).

So the safest method, which works for ALL people is this:

You use a file extractor (WinRAR, 7zip ....) and use its internal extraction method (not drag'n'drop).
You have a 100% chance of a complete file extraction and overwriting of old files if you use the "Extract" button in those apps.

I have years of experience with this problems and in our team we must reduce the support of such nonsense problems.
Also the nature of those problems are changing from time to time. Its always related to the current state of the MS Defender database.

Also CM can't and will not extract all files, because it has a filter in it, and its also using Windows tools to do it. So you can't really trust the installation, because you don't know how broken the Windows copying is.

So if its ok for you, it does not mean it is ok for all other users... Be happy that it works on your side!

Drag & drop thru CM will NOT install everything found on the compressed file. If there is extension file within the compressed file, it will NOT be install...

I finally made the jump to CM (I currently have five AC installs, Le Mans, IMSA, 60's, F1 and a test base). Each install has both pure and lighting patches. In the CM I currently am using pure 1.79. Is there a newer one that works? I tried using the 2.5 high res and when I run a race all the cars crash at the start of the race. When I changed back to 1.79 all is well.

I'm literally fighting the same with people using CM to install mods and report issues. Because CM won't put the tyre zip texture in extension/textures/cars

I don't really want to blame CM devs, but the advertising as the way to install everything wasn't the best idea. It should be noted somewhere that if there's an error, always try installing manually.

That feature should have been disabled and manually enabled in settings as we all just ask in the end the end user to install mods manually.

don't know what you mean with Pure 1.79. I guess you mean CSP (custom shaders patch) 1.79.

If you install CSP versions like 0.2.5p1 - a preveiw version (with rain) install it manually like this:
Delete the dwrite.dll in AC root folder.
Open the CSP preview zip file with a file extractor (WinRAR, 7zip ...) and use the EXTRACT button. Select the "dwrite.dll" and the "extension" folder and extract them to your AC root folder (Steam install folder of AC "common\assettocorsa").

If you install a public version, use the CM - settings - about&update page.

If something crashes, reset your CSP settings completelly!!!

Goto /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/ rename the "extension" folder to something different.
Restart CM. It will create a new "extension" folder. You can restore it later.
Select Pure as weather style again in CSP weatherFX settings.

They are not from the same model source though. The IFSO car has entirely different cockpit details, and seems to be ported from a recent Gran Turismo.
I'm talking about the 246 GT version of Full Throttle mentioned in his message, not the IFSO version.

Previously there was an adjustment in Pure to easily turn down the saturation (of the grass, in many cases). Where did that capability go? I went through every slider that had "saturation" in it, and none of them have any influence over the saturation of the grass. Peter? (Pure 2.35 LCS)

In CSP version 0.2.5 preview1 (= 0.2.4 public) the AI is broken (happens also to stock Kunos cars) and always some cars go mad or don't start at the race start and there is no setting in CSP to prevent this. I changed back to CSP 0.2.4 preview1 (= 0.2.3 public) and everything works fine. If you need to use the latest version of CSP, because the latest versions of the VRC Hypercars (Arden V24, Ferrenzo P49, Pageau 9T8) need this version to work correctly, you can use the app "Broken Cars Kicker" to kick out the broken cars from the field.

You don't need 5 parrallel installations of AC. You can use the generic mod enabler "JSGME.exe" to keep your AC clean and enable only the addons you want to use. The program even restores all files, that were overidden by enabling a mod, when you disable it again. I use this program since many years and NEVER had any problem.

Goodnight. If the moderators see fit to "delete" the link, no problem.

These versions of the Ferrari 312 B3 used the version of the 312 T ( by Kunos ) as a base.
It's not perfection, it's just for good fun as I always say. The problems are the usual ones.

It can be used together with the F1 1975 mod ( 312 B3 from 1975 early season ) and a future F1 1974 mod ( 312 B3: early, early 2, final ).

Good fun to all the "Ferraristas" who appreciate the Scuderia. This 312 B3 has always been one of my favorites.

Hello. Do you have some new link to this amazing mod? Thanks

Good afternoon.

Since I know almost nothing about track editing (for now, I've only made an adaptation to try to partially recreate the 1970 Monaco version, adding some guardrails to the 1966 version).

I would like to add some lighting to an old track.I did a test (running at night), but there is no lighting, no lamps in the tiny pits or on the start/finish straight, there are lighting posts (about 6 or 7), (running during the day you can notice them), but at night there is no lighting.

Is there any way to add it (or make it work)?
