Holden isn't in GT PSP though, so it's good to hear that the manufacturer will return.
Really? FPV is in right? Im pretty sure ive seen it in a video where some manufacturers where shown.
Gran Turismo 3 is the first GT to feature ANY Australian car (the Tickford Ford Falcon XR8). Gran Turismo 4 is the first GT to feature Holden and FPV, but also the first GT to use an Australian car in a License Test. I must say this again... Gran Turismo NEEDS better Australian representation. Australia is one of the biggest sectors of racing in the world not represented in Gran Turismo (this and Canada and Latin America). Not to talk rivals or anything, but Forza Motorsport 3 will have eight Australian V8 Supercars. The V8 Supercars is the key thing I'll look out for. The best package would be V8 Supercars and Bathurst. If they wanted to delve further, PD may want to look into things like the old ATCC (Australian Touring Car Championship) before being succeeded by the V8 Supercar Series. Some utes need to be featured, maybe even a few Brute Ute machines. That's even if you have Holdens and Fords with Gran Turismo or Polyphony Digital livery. A nice bonus on the car front would be that Holden Efijy concept car.
As far as likelyhoods and speculation, I'd be interested in seeing HSV make its debut into the GT realm. The HSV Clubsport R8, LS3 Senator, GTS 40th Anniversary, Maloo, and W427 are some of my favorite vehicles from HSV (especially recent ones, because that's all I know). I'd even be interested in seeing a car I keep hearing and reading about- the Holden Torana GTR-XU1. Maybe even feature some Holdens raced by the late great Peter Brock. On the Ford [Australia] front, I'd simply include more of Ford's lovely Falcons and of course, their V8 supercars. Maybe I want to be my own Craig Lowndes in GT5. And according to ultimatecarpage.com, here are some other Australian makes:
* Bolwell
* Carbontech
* Elfin
* Goggomobile
* JOSS
* Maybach Special
* Roman AutoTek
All I can say about these is that Elfin would be nice to include as well. But simply put... will someone at PD PLEASE put Australia on the Gran Turismo map proper?
More important than Holden and Ford Australia put together.
To be honest Ute racing in australia isn't very big at all, some aussie's like to call them sports utes but they really arn't they are just for cruising or the usual things you use a ute for.
Freakin sweat! I hope they include Bathurst...

Brute Utes are pretty popular btw, everyone loves watching them.
Dude, Goggo is German and what is a "Maybach Special"? I only know the Maybach 57 Special, which is also German.
I very much so beg to differ, because an HSV Maloo laps just as quickly as an Aston Martin DB9 as demonstrated by Top Gear, and all reviews point to the VE Ute being more of a driver's car than the sedan and in some circumstances has even managed to be quicker too, but certainly loses nothing at all to its sedan counterpart. It's the Dart! (Australian joke)

Doesnt change that both manufacturers are still German.
Buckle Motors would be the Australian company behind the Dart, not Goggomobil.
Holden and Ford won't have a massive catalogue to choose from. I'd expect the F6, GT and the GTS and W427 as they represent the flagship models of each brand.
The F6, GT, GTS and W427 are not Holden or Ford, technically, they are FPV and HSV respectively. And since KY has not confirmed FPV or HSV (although FPV was in GT4) I wouldn't get my hopes up. Although I would LOVE some great Aussie muscle in there...
You know what I would love? To race the HRT427 around Bathurst. Shame they didn't produce that weapon of a car... GT5 could though
And it would absolutely be the ducks nuts, I would salivate, scream with joy from the roof tops, if there were some modern V8 Supercars in there. Off Topic - went to Surfers for the Nikon in the weekend and saw the Supercars racing around the streets - amazing. I have a small amount footage if anyone wants it, suppose I could do a YouTube vid![]()
Only an '04 BA F6 Typhoon, even the BA GT that was in GT4 isn't in PSP. For record, the BA was facelifted to BF in '05 and in '08/'09 the completely new FG Falcon was released and has major performance upgrades making the FPV F6 one of the best sports sedans in the world under $100k AUD.
This is the GT5 news I've been waiting for, above all. Great find! I'd love to see my dream car, the E-series Maloo in the game.
New V8 supercars, please. That AU Tickford in GT3 and 4 is almost 10 years old.![]()
Yeah I see the aftermarth after each race, I remember when the VE car (Sage) was was nice clean and straight, now take a close look and pretty much everything has been bent and dented then bent back into a form that looks good enough. They play rough. Now if only they would allow double row timing chains on the Holden engines again we wouldn't have so many failures and expenses.

I just watched the youtube video of this as i was having trouble believing you. My humble apologies, what a beast, and only a tad slower than a lotus exige. The Bathurst edition is a real beast, why not sell that hear? Us aussie's would eat it up.
You won't find real v8 supercars in GT5. You'll find Forza probably have the naming rights to those cars in their games considering how much VESA have been giving it air time on seven.
If anything we'll get FG 01 and VE 06 'or what ever its called' as neither cars are confined to the v8 supercar series.

Actually the BA GT is in GT PSP.... because I own the Orange model and have done comparison laps with it and the F6 countless times in it.
Yes I heard the commentators talking about that, do the road cars use double or single? It's a stupid regulation they put in, it has really hurt the Holden's championship this season with a few DNFs due to that regulation.
As the article says, both were already in GT4 so this isn't really news.
Lets not forget (only Aussies will know about these I imagine and Kiwis too probably)
the HDT Retro series. http://www.hdt.com.au/
