Audi VGT inbound

Well, that is nice surprise. Wonder if it will go into racing category instead of Gr. X since this is designed by Audi Sport, racing division of Audi. It has close resemblence of silhouette race cars (GT500/DTM) or perhaps GTE class car in my opinion. Will likely being an EV if you look at how Audi change their focus from LMP racing to Formula E programme, but hybrid seems possible too.

By the way, Kaz also tweeting about the upcoming Audi VGT which turns out he is already been 5 years waiting for this thing happened. I'm not sure if it is the time they had spent for development or simply just waiting for GTS being launched after GT6 were considerably wasn't good enough with it's DLC and updates planning... My guess it was the later... :

Edit : On second thought if you count 5 years back it goes to 2013 in which GT6 was launched. Looks like Kaz just waiting a confirmation from Audi whether they going to represent their own VGT since the project were introduced anyway. And now we are about to have it.

Where is the rule that cars, real, virtual, fake or otherwise, have to look good?

What ? I actually like alot the look of the Juke :(

The real license for....fake cars! I gave up Gran Turismo. I want the real Audis
I am curious why it matters so much? I tend to just want more. I kind of like have something different. Audi has never been my brand though. Although I would be happy with x porsche. The silhouette look cool. With race cars I think I may car less.

I'm really looking forward to the Audi VGT. It'll probably be called Audi Sport etron quattro VGT or something. I guess it will be an EV given Audi's focus these days. It has a look of a GTE car overall but without the crazy diffuser out back. It looks more integrated and streamlined.

My only demand with this is that it has an incar view. I think it will do but you never know.

"Audi Sport e-tron quattro Vision Gran Turismo" is more like it. But through Kaz's Tweet he just simply said "Audi Vision Gran Turismo" there.

It is because Audi want to keep the name a secret at the moment and people are also more familiar to simply called it as "Audi VGT" just like how most people said "McLaren VGT" instead of "McLaren Ultimate VGT". And of course it will likely have an "e-tron" or "quattro" badge on it for sure. It could also turned up using Audi usual type designation like R or RS too in my opinion.

Nice idea and it does look nice and mean. Hopefully this one will have a cockpit. Best thing I like to do with the VGT, or indeed the non-race cars' is to take them for a cruise with all the head-up displays off and in cockpit view. A nice cruise around Monza no-chicanes as the sun goes down is very nice expecially if they have a nice engine sound too.

I can't stand how dumb most of VGTs looks, but I'm okay with this one if it comes to Gr. 3, Gr.3 and Gr.4 classes could do well with some variety...

Audi pardner! (Someone had to say it ...)

I think it's more like, the Vision GT project started 5 years ago (for the 15th anniversary lol) and I've been looking forward to whatever the Audi was going to be ever since. Part of that is "flattery" to Audi for want of another word.

I would trade the new Audi for Spa any day.

To quote myself from earlier:

That's fine, except for the fact that the manufacturers' design teams that make the VGT cars don't work for Polyphony Digital, nor do they use up PD's time and resources as you'd think from an in-house car model.

- You couldn't have been playing GT for a while if NOW Fake cars upset you.
- You given up on GT yet you come here just to moan about fake cars. Highly Dubious.
- Literally, every Audi in the game right now is real. Here, let me show you:

Audi TT Cup 2016

Audi R8 LMS (Audi Sport Team WRT) 2015

Audi R18 TDI (Audi Sport Team Joest) 2011

Audi R18 (Audi Sport Team Joest) 2016

Audi TTS Coupe 2014

Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak 1987

And most recently (Courtesy of update 1.13), the Audi R8 4.2 Quattro:

There's all your real Audis. Ironically as this will be the 4th VGT from a VAG Brand, it will more then likely of course be a "Real Audi" itself ;)

I'm sorry, i'm off topic... but i just have to say it!

GT Sport looks just sick! When looking at this pictures some of them took me a while to realize they weren't taken in the GT Photo Mode....:P

I have a feeling besides the original Gr. X variant, probably they'll make a Gr. 3-homologated version as well. That, and hoping for the GR Supra to be a Gr. 3 car as well would make for a match made in heaven.

Yeah, Getting the Supra and the Audi VGT in the same April update and in the same class would make for a nice little Gr.3 refresher.

(along with a penalty system fix)

So you think that technical regulations and sporting regulations should be totally abandoned across the board... huh.. FIA Whacky Races feat. Dick Dastardly and Mutley it is then!

No, I believe cars should be the best they can be within certain regulations and teams achieve that however they can.
