Thanks for your time and efforts with races 4 & 5... I look forward to them. And yes, ss-88 is spot on... "no control tyre(s)" does just mean that tyre choice is left to the driver - they are part of tuning, afterall. See you tomorrow night

Why are some of the suzuka 750 races only 5 laps????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

And also theres no point in making the last race R3 tyres, i said in my PM that if you were going to specify tyre choice make it R3

But if not, and you arent, dont specify tyre choice

lol so much confusion going on. Are races 4 & 5 totally up to us or do they have to be as you've listed them:

4 - Suzuka Circuit (5 Laps)
5 - Fuji Speedway F (10 Laps)

Because both tizzla & I have picked 750PP 10 lap races at suzuka I believe.

Look at all of the races, more than 1 of the suzuka 750 races are 5 laps. So we just stop after 5 laps??? nice one

*looses faith in MNR*

 you have entered MNR more than once!

Without even knowing it haha

did I? well I've raced some GTP members like aussienicko, and Animera but never raced them on monday. And I can't remember that I've ever raced with you before....

Yep youve been in a few MNR races, and ive seen you before MNR started

Oh, It might be my brother who is racing online then... cause I usually don't play GT5 on mondays. I'm online mostly on the weekends.

EDIT: anyway does anyone have any tunes for the cars that we're going to race on monday? Cause I've never driven all the car above competitively. thanks :D.

Typo for race 5... it should have said Suzuka (now does).

Basically you guys worked on 750PP and Suzuka - I don't know if your rides will go under the 650PP umbrella for the 10 lapper at Fuji... so I left them. Maybe I read the races wrong, but I didn't see a 10 lapper at Suzuka in the available races (...and so can't figure out what TiZ is on about!).

"Are races 4 & 5 totally up to us or do they have to be as you've listed them...?" -- They are totally up to you two... edit them as you see fit, then please post an update at TORC. Thanks

Also edited the times to allow the correct amount between each race and a 10 minute earlier start so as it doesn't finish too late.

Oh and the reason you didn't see a 10 lapper crazyhorse is because in the events menu for some reason it doesn't say 10 laps. It only says 750PP.

Should be able to make it to the first three or so races tonight, I just get too tired for any more and my driving slowly degrades each race.

Looks like this is going to be another good schedule, great work guys 👍

I'm looking forward to my second MNR event but, like last week, I probably won't be available for the first four races. I should have a definite start for Race 5, though I will also try to get into Races 3 and 4 if I can.

Edit: Scratch that last edit, trying to get ready for Race 4 now...

I should be there for at least two or three tonight.:) First time in a long long time for me. Great to have some time for MNR once again, it's been too long.

Race ya' all tonight guys.:D:tup:

EDIT: Who's in for tonight?

I'm in. I don't have any good setups, except for my 111r/tuned "Guess tune" which is apparently quite effective.:D So will just be doing some more "Guess tunes" tonight and hoping for the best.:D:P

I might join at 8.31 cause I'm watching topgear right now... see you guys in the S2000

EDIT: sorry mad94d I have to hold you up in the esses :D my car doesn't handle really well... it's very twitchy.

Sorry to TORC_Stonemonkey if I punted you at turn one in the s2000 race, there was lag and you were a fair way in front of me and then i think i got hit from behind and not sure about what happened from there on in as there were cars everywhere.

Thanks for the great racing tonight guys. A lot of good battles that I enjoyed this evening. :) Would've stayed a bit longer but I was just so tired :P

Thanks guys. Personally, I drove like an idiot tonight. Now what you'd expect from a Div 1 driver.:yuck: But I still had fun, just way too many mistakes from me tonight.

Highlight of the night was the fantastic race I had with ITR_ROT4RY in the Amuse. That was highly enjoyable mate. Sorry for all the bumps, I hit you way too many times. But it was still great fun.👍

FFS, so sick of this game's crap online system. Race 5 loads, sitting on the grid, DC'd. Nobody else apparently was. Some of the other races had lag problems as well. This all better be fixed in the full game or it'll ruin online.

Rant over :P

I hear you supersonic-88, it's a shame you missed out on some good clean racing in that last one.

Earlier I had disconnection problems with race 4 but was able to race with ITR_R0T4RY and another GTP driver in a backup race. Didn't have the best of runs - one of the FR drivers blatantly rammed me off the course - but I did end up finishing in 4th.

Race 5 started off pretty badly for me. I had a slow start off the line and by Turn 2 had managed to (accidentally) hit a couple of cars off track (I think). In the interests of fairness, I decided to fall back to last position just so nobody would get annoyed at me for anything that might've happened.

Spent the next couple of laps going flat-out in a car I had only spent 5 minutes tuning from scratch (not complaining though, the Z06 was running consistent sub 2-minute laps, about a second faster than my previous attempts in the Mine's GT-R). The last couple of laps were the best I had ever raced, an intense four-way battle between LED_GTLMsquad [FR], Lion-Face and TORC_vrrm and myself for podium positions (TiZzla once again proved the driver to beat, blitzing the rest of us). Finished in 5th place after missing an opportunity to pass TORC_vrrm in the sweeping left-hand turn.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed tonight and will be looking forward to the next MNR.

Heh, no worries, mate... I'd been punted 'n' spun round before you hit me ;)

yeah I'm not in the best mood to race today... all of my car settings were all wrong... the amuse and elise was waaay too twitchy, and the rest of the car was pretty much ok... but overall the race was quite good, had good fun with mad94d with the amuse, I blocked the inside of every corner just to make sure he doesn't overtake :D, and the last corvette race was quite ok as well until the car suddenly lost front traction and send me to the kitty litter... but managed to catch ed5ta so It was all good.

Best MNR probably in terms of cars. Perhaps all grippy ones yes but I still had a blast so thanks to crazyhorse & tizzla for the car choices :)

Seemed to be getting bad luck in terms of grid spots tonight. Every race was 8th or worse.

Race 1: Started 8th. Had an ok start but it was either this race or the 350z one where in the first corner a car came to an almost complete stop on the T1 apex, who I hit and lost all my momentum as well as spots. Got going again but was down to 8th-10th when I reached the hairpin. It all went off here with cars lagging and slamming into each other. Dunno how I survived it but came out of the corner in 3rd, behind another AU driver, perhaps squasher. Managed to draft him on the front straight and get into second. Then chased down the leader while making a big gap to the cars behind. Don't know what happened to the leader but he pulled off on lap 4 or 5 so I went into the lead with a 3-4 second gap. Really got into a groove, setting consistent times & tizzla behind couldn't catch up, so won the race by about 3 seconds.

Race 2: Started 8th. Couldn't really get this car working, with a fastest lap of only 1:59ish. However was a cracker of a race, only ruined by my stupid mistakes. On the opening lap tizzla, nick (i think) and myself were battling but i tried a dumb move in the hairpin which didn't come off and I went into the sand. Fell back but pushed hard to catch up to joeninety. However got involved in a mini battle with another GTP driver who was in a blitz gt-r, which cost me some time. When I got by, tried again to catch joe but then nick had accident ahead & I was now right with him. Had an awesome battle for a few laps with him but yet another stupid mistake cost me. Went way too deep into the chicane and lost it. Got back on again and tried my best to catch up but finished 4th. Nick lost it again on the last lap but he was slightly too far ahead for me to take advantage.

Race 3: Started 8th again! Alright start but the first lap was smashes galore. Lag was playing a part and bumps were going on everywhere. I got hit pretty hard towards the end of the first lap spinning me around & falling down to 11th. Luckily had good pace & managed to get past a few guys to be 6th by about lap 7 or so. Then hunted down both a random player & mad. Got both of them, mad on the last lap to finish 4th & a good recovery.

Race 4: Was looking forward to this one as the 111R is a favorite of mine. Was listed as starting 4th on the grid sheet yet when it loaded to my car I was starting 11th which sucked! Was going through the pack but stuffed it at spoon on lapped 1 and thought that was it, race over as i had fallen to about 8th. Got back on though and pushed like crazy to catch up, ending up about 3rd on lap 5-6. A GT-LM was in the lead & mad was second. He spun off in turn 1 handing me second so then I had a few laps to try and catch the gt. Was definitely reining him in and on lap 8 he spun off at spoon. Had a mini heart attack at that moment because i followed the GT into his spin, almost handing the lead back to him. Luckily i managed to get out of the spin quickly & from there drove carefully the last few laps to take the win.

Race 5: There was no race 5 as my above message tells you. Thanks a lot PD :(

Tried to get another race going with onlineGT after everybody left but even that was a pain in the ass. First attempt the game froze on 'joining race' then it tried to return me to the menu but froze there as well. I had to quit the game to fix that. Then tried again and this race lasted about 3 laps before everybody was disconnected. FINALLY the 3rd try worked and we got a race.

Non-MNR race (driving 111R / Tuned): Started 9th. Lag was terrible, cars jerking all over the road. Tired to be very careful in the opening laps not to hit anybody. Had an accident fairly early on so yet again had to push to catch up. This race though I really got in the groove. Passed some guys to get into 3rd but the first 2 were way off in the distance. However lap by lap I was catching them. Passed the 2nd place vette on lap 9 and on the last lap caught the GT-LM midway round. He weaved on the back straight to stop me from getting the draft which sucked but I thought stuff it, I'll go for an attempt at the chicane. Tried it but he just got better traction out of the corner and we finished nose to tail. That race was also special because I ran my 2 fastest laps there in the 111R. First one was a 1.55.847 with no draft, then a 1.55.824 with a slight draft down the back straight. Could have been quicker but mucked up the final chicane.

Great night of racing guys. Nice to see some new drivers as well 👍

Cya next week

Fellas, and esp. ss-88 & TiZ -- I'll be posting a SAR (Sunday Afternoon Racing) schedule for this week.

In the past we've used the SAR combos for the next days MNR. That way, you may make one meeting, if not both, and if you get punted or disconnected (or indeed, carried off by a giant eagle) during one of your fave combos, there may be another chance to try it.

Long story short, if you would like to come up with two events for next week's MNR, it would be very helpful if you could come up with 'em for the SAR meet (Jun 7th). As I say, they will also figure in the Jun 8th MNR.

Just a thought -- If you wanted to use combos you've already generated in the past, that's also cool.

Cheers, lads 👍

Ok cool, I'll try and come up with something & PM you with it 👍
