autolog is mad, i'm giving it a pause cause i want to finish the career, i'm just 48%, but surely once done i'll take it again from the beginning to beat the times.

You guys are causing much woe and gnashing of teeth!! :ouch:

RomKnight what did you do to that 640 to beat my record by 12 secs?!?

StarFirebird you are making my RX 8 cry..it does sound nice though.

And if I never see that Miami Bayfront track again I'll be happier.

I can't figure out to get more speed out of my D class RX-8.I'm around 2 seconds slower than yours.

I need to put this game away again.I've spent an hour on 2 tracks alone.I need to go spend my time watching a movie or something calming

Autolog tell you when someone beat your time in a specific event but sometimes I get the message - Player X played bla bla bla and thinks you might like it too... or something like that..How do I recommend an event to someone? I just saw that theres a trophy for that

What track. I remember setting a new regional record on one of the Dubai tracks and getting in front of paulpg87 at catalunya... I think.

I'm at a party now so I can't check :)

I can tell you I don't use nitro.

That was it, Catalunya. Made me want to puke. Just kidding, great driving. That's one autolog I don't think I will ever catch.

The Autolog should be cross platform, well except for PC because of all the cheats and mods

Totally agree. Got rid off my PS version after the lag fiasco.
Playing Xbox version and hanging out on a primary PS forum lol.

Still having fun though.

(nice when you get a number one position on the speedwell with a scruffy lap, knowing you can shave more off when you need it)

Not anymore :D It's a dear and old friend but the music taste... I won't try nothing today. Beer won't allow me to concentrate :D

At the time I asked the guy who was in 1st onthe speedwall that. He said yes so I used it too, otherwise it would be impossible to beat his times :D

Only for D class though. All the other times I'm doing have the cars upgraded to max within class but without nitro.

I never thought of using nitro! Have to give that a try to see if I can get myself a bit closer to the wheel-brigade. 💡

Got it. With D class I was 10-12 seconds off some of the top times, so decided to install some NOS myself last night and give it a go. I know Im not the fastest, but I knew I wasn't that slow. Only had time to replay the first 3 or 4 D class events, but moved up significantly on the speedwall for each of them.

Still waiting for one of you guys to beat my time on the Modern A Invitational. Im sure it's only a matter of time though..... :nervous:

I mentioned this over at no grip, but I'll mention here... As you guys are into autolog.

PI does not seem fixed on loaner races, as I've just seen something rather odd...
Single type race, BMW 135i

I just noticed, although this is using loaner, the PI for people is different.
Varying from 653 to 723

AND , during the series, my own PI went , 682, 679, 701

What's interesting is, I was having alot of fun just racing, didn't care about the series result..
Which meant I finished 2nd, 6th (spin :)) 1st .... Notice my PI went down when i did well, and up when I did badly.

I'm thinking its not only the AI changing due to your progress, but also your car!
( usually this is hidden, but this race has a bug to show it)

Thoughts ?

All I can say for sure, is what I ( and you) can see on the autolog for that race. .... Ive see on xbox, don't know if same bug is on other platforms.

The rest is theory, but there have been quite a few saying AI adapts to how well you are doing, I'm just theorizing it's the other way , you get a hidden PI boost ... And the bug here, is just it incorrectly using your boosted PI for the wall.

Note: this must be going on, as that PI difference is coming from somewhere, and I know for me, I didn't do anything other than race the series.

Also, note for the first race, its obviously carried over from other races, as otherwise on race 1 of the series we all would have same PI, and we don't,

Go have a look at your speedwell, and see if its similar.

( i checked a few other loaner races, and they all shows the fixed PI)

I'm betting this has to do with the adaptive AI feature. 3 PI points make absolutely no difference in car performance... the bug us in this showing those value changes I guess.

Anyway I've done events where I lose quite a few times until I finally get that 1st place not by much, namely GT3.

I have to check that but because I repeat the events a few times until times have been beaten (or I quit :D ) I think that will not be a problem. It's the same for everybody... or I completely missed the point (its possible)

I raised more as an insight, not a problem

I think it's interesting that SMS adapt your car, rather than the ai.

though bare in mind I've seen 70pi difference, not 3... agreed won't allow me to beat a fast driver, but between 2 equal it's a 10% gain.. and I've not proven thats the limit, it's just what I've seen!

note : it's difficult to test, as autolog only shows you pi on your best times, so hard to test systematically , especially as I've only found his display bug on the one event.

I so close of having the regional record for the CCX event... :P

Finally set my first regional record last night. What exactly do they mean by regional though? Is it just the region in my own country, or would it be for the entire US?

I guess in my case it would be the whole country... As for US I don't know if its divided by states or is also the whole country.

Anyway, its easier to beat regional records here because its small country (fewer people playing) and AUTOLOG keeps us busy :D

That would be real awkward. All states in USA in one region I understand (same country) but Portugal and Spain are different countries...

Well it is how it is divided in GT5 (peninsula iberica) is one region with two countries
Some states in the States are bigger than both portugal and spain
