Very nice Cody, particularly like the street one.
Was hoping you were going to some pics while on your trip. 👍

Big fan of the Indian ones! There is a real atmosphere to them. India is one of the places I would really like to shoot, but I don't think I could stomach it really.

India is amazing, I'll be returning several times I feel. That said, it is just a intense experience with the sight, sound, smell, people, energy all dialed to deafening. It is heartbreaking, and I certainly was overwhelmed with the poverty and filth. But it is also breathtaking, from sweeping landscapes to humanity on display. Of course, that same humanity an be infuriating and monstrous, with it surging through alleys like pulsing mass rather than individuals.

While on the train to Berlin, I realized that Europe simply felt muted in comparison. Not a bad kind of muted, but everything here has felt so calm and quiet, even busy subway stations.

That and I can live in India for a couple of months for what a couple weeks cost in Europe.

Just keep them coming. 👍

Thanks and working on it. Huge amount of images to go through from the trip, with more on my Flickr than here. Seems only a few dozen people are seeing these though... I need to figure out how to flickr/social media

Curious what you think of the 12mm shots, as it was you that got me curious about the 20mm equivalent focal length. Still figuring out how to make the most of it, but I do enjoy the change of pace from the telephotos.

I've been following closely on flickr. And let me say that various times I've thought "I could see myself taking this shot". Prime examples are the street ones in Amsterdam, the one inside the train and the stairs in Germany.

I think you're already pretty much adapted to it. And these last two shots really show that. They're gorgeous. 👍

Argh some very cool things. I had a bit of a further look on the Flickr too and I love some of the framing and details that you put into them. India looks like such an environment that boast so much variety. I'm sure there is just as much grunge to go with the vibrant touristy bollywoodistic glamour. Bottom of #235 is very strong, as well as the post after.

1.2 looks like a gem 👍

Hey, congratulations!
Are you happy with it? :D

I am, but it is going to take a bit to learn all the quirks. The first reaction was holy smokes the haze wide open under certain light, then CA in extreme contrast. Then sorting the metering out, which is about one stop high on my 5Dii because of the vignetting. Flaring and ghosting are pretty comical at times. Any tips on how to use this thing?

The character is amazing. Even stopped down for infinity focus, it has character while being sharp enough. I'm excited to use it more, as I've been wanting to get away from needing critical focus and clinical sharpness in my work. Looking forward to how it performs at concerts and music festivals with the crowds and crazy lighting. And it almost seems "sharper" on the EOS M.

Pretty happy I went with this over the Sigma, which might be objectively better but I'm over the objective "better" element right now.

India has a lot of everything. Europe felt muted by comparison, but not in a bad way. I'll be posting more of the grunge in the near future to contrast the vibrancy a bit.

Thank you for noticing the details. I feel a bit awkward about what resolution to upload my images because, at times, its very difficult to see the details that made me pick the shot at smaller sizes. Though it makes printing at poster sizes very satisfying.

As a side note, I'm noticing some odd colors in a few shots now that I'm back on proper monitors. Oh well.
