Is it possible to make the widget always race on cape ring? if so, how do I configure this?
edit: I tried to enter the debug mode but it seems i'm doing something wrong.

I'm working on a PC (windows 7) and have no knowledge of programming, I just tried what I found using the search tool. (ctrl+shift+click) on the tool to try and open debug mode

In the evaluate box, enter this text and hit enter on the keyboard and then do a force reauthentication.

Uhm okay, that could help me if I knew how to get that window to open in first place :).
any help with that?
I noticed that you're using konfabulator, should I use that program instead of widgets?

On the taskbar, there should be a yahoo widgets icon. Hold down shift+Ctrl and right click on it. Second from bottom should be something that says debug mode, click on it. Then go to B-Spec grinder and open it.

To get to the Yahoo Widget Debug Mode you need to hold shift+control and right click on the Yahoo Widget icon.

The Yahoo Widget Icon looks like a pair of small gears.

On a Mac: the Yahoo Widget Icon is found on the Menu bar at the top of the screen (where the time/date, speaker icon, apple icon and the like are found). To get debug mode to appear in the menu list then shift+ctrl+left click on the Icon.

On a Windows machines: the Yahoo Widget Icon is found in the System Tray in the tool bar (where the time/date and other application and system icons hang out). To get debug mode to appear in the menu list then shift+ctrl+right click on the Icon.

You cannot get to the debug mode by clicking in any way on the Yahoo Widget itself (where the Grinder is). After you have ctrl+shift+right (or left) clicked on the icon.
"Debug Mode" should now appear in the menu list.

Click on Debug Mode and the Debug window should open up after you stop and restart the Grinder Widget.
C&P from earlier in the topic. added my own visual aid...

Okay I got it, visual aid helped a lot because English isn't my motherlanguage and I didn't fully understand everything first. :dunce:

Thank you Ross & GraphiteGB!

It's a great widget. I've just recently started using it!

Does anyone know if I would be able to run this widget 150 miles away from my PS3? (assuming there is internet in that area)

As long as the PS3 is set up correctly on GT5 etc then you can use the widget any where with an internet connection

In addition, keep in mind, if the PS3's connection to PSN and/or Gran Turismo's web server is severed in any way the widget will hang. Basically, it will just stop running races.

Temporey server issue means it your connection to Your GT5 has been dropped/timed out.
You can lower the amount the widget hassles the web site by reducing the threads and increasing the Time between requests
Force reauthentication can bring the widget back online.
but if there have been to many errors a widget restart will be required followed by Force reauthentication again.

Mine keeps getting stuck too now :(

Edit: The remote racing part of the site is down, that's why.

When I was done racing online last night I put my PS3 in server mode, started up my laptop and the Grinder. It showed that I was racing at 6/8 laps. I only run Cape Ring so that was strange. I hovered over the blue helmet and it showed as one of my newer friends. Some of the other drivers racing were not all on my friends list. It was like I was running the grinder as my friend. What happened? Doesn't this seem like a vulnerability? My laptop has minimal security because it's very old and slow and my PS3 is in my router's DMZ if that matters.

I tried restarting the grinder a few times but rebooting the laptop seemed to fix things.
