I actually found a 100% tickets CQ servers with a nice variety of maps in the rotation. The only problem is that the teams were so ridiculously unbalanced I didn't even stay through my second match.

I don't mind the odd high ticket game at Seine where a base rape is rare, but 3x tickets anywhere else is usually a drag.

I had a fairly enjoyable last few sessions, which is rare these days just in terms of prolongued enjoyment (usually servers empty out, admin kick etc).

I had fun trolling the other team playing US at one round at Caspian and laying mines all the way up the access road from RU, almost up to their deployment. Got 10 vehicle destroys 👍

Then playing RU in a later round, we somehow pegged the other team back to back to deploy (at Caspian, go figure) and I pushed up as far as I dare playing Engi....and suffered the ignomy of getting bad luck killed by the falling radio tower

Happened to me as well but in a tank. Didn't kill me but the structure fell around me wedging me in and rendering the tank unmovable.

Agree that it's harder to find a server to my liking. Anything over 200% tickets I normally avoid. Trying to find servers with my preferred rotation and tickets is becoming a real pain. Had a few rounds over the weekend and it did take a fair while to find something I wanted.

Cheers Shaun.

What I like about high ticket servers is that even if one team has a big lead of maybe 100-200 tickets it's not over yet, the game can still completely turn around.
And surprisingly often it does for me.

This is another point I forgot to mention. Really makes it feel like a war, not a 10 minute match like CoD.

Also, I'm colonel 45, some people (Including myself) wish to reach level 100 one day.

I'm primarily a high ticket player aswell. the normal 100% is way to short for all game modes except maybe rush i find. 400% and 500% are very good for Conquest domination and TDM, And 200-300% is just right for regular conquest but i wouldnt rule out a higher % for conquest. I would rather play one 40 minute game than two 20 minute games, As others have said it allows a couple of changes of the lead and i just think Battlefield deserves longer rounds instead of COD type 10-15 minute rounds, Wich dont suit BF in my opinion.

I much prefer the flexibility of shorter games meaning that I can utilize my time online better by being more certain that I can finish games. "This game will take at most 30mins" rather than "This game could take 2hours". Also I can cope with being base raped for about 10mins but no more.

Battlefield 3 Now $39.99 in NA, Expected Maintenance on Online Services Aug 7

MP1st
Players on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 should be expecting an online service drop on August 7th from 05:00 GMT until 07:00 GMT, according to the notice banner found on the Battlefield 3 official forum. This drop in online services will, of course, affect online play across all three platforms.

No word yet on what the expected down time is for, though it is speculated that it is to prepare for the August bonus content drop for Battlefield Premium members that has yet to be revealed by DICE.

So some downtime right before the "Bonus content drop". I think this could be a good sign that it might actually be something decent.

On another note, I just had the laggiest game ever. It was incredibly bad and its odd as i dont experience much lag and it was a server i visit frequently aswell so i dont know what was going on. Normally i would have quit but i had a hatfull of points, 80+ SCAR-H kills and MVP so i just suffered it :)

Our team lost despite having 1st and 2nd highest score and having another team member not far behind. Proves that in rush, you need the whole team working which we didn't. :grumpy:

That is part of the appeal of Battlefield though. One person or a small group of people mostly cannot swing a match. It is a team game and if the most of the team is not working together, then the team is likely to fail.

Ok, but was a bit steep.

Heat of the moment. :nervous:

Very true but it can be very frustrating when you feel your the only one or so having any impact on the enemy team. They were waltzing us until I pinched their tank and managed to hold them back before I inevitably went down. Then they win with 0 tickets. :ouch:

As soon as you end up on a cooperating team, the game is fantastic to play.

I find a lot of "underdog" weapons that nobody ever uses quite effective. The M4, G3A3, M39 EMR, QBZ-95B etc.
It's only rare, because not everyone wants to put time into Co-Op; otherwise it's a beastly weapon.

The games where both teams are working well together and the match comes down to 25 or less tickets are the best, especially if your side wins. Nothing feels better than a win by the narrowest of margins. However, those games seem to be few and far between. I find good sets of games and bad sets of games come in droves and rotate every few days. At times, I feel like I am nearly unstoppable, at least by my standards, and other days, I feel like I could not shoot a person if he was standing a few meters motionless in front of my guy.

People need to try and use smoke more. I managed to turn a game around today using it on rush where we could just not get a pair of mcoms on Karkand. The enemy team was simply covering everything and on top of that my team wasn't very good.
So I decided to try out the M320 Smoke. I smoked the entire building the mcom was in, went inside yelling Leeroy Jenkins, found a nice place to fend off any enemies while a teammate planted the mcom.

Though I was lucky that right at the moment I smoked the building a teammate decided to plant the mcom. Wouldn't be able to do it alone.

Smoke is awesome to use! :D

I'd use it more if the med pack wasn't so helpful although on some tight maps such as Bazaar, I'll probably run smoke since there's a ton of med packs in those cluster fajita areas.

I think smoke would be much better if you could still use the IRNV sight and see people through the smoke. That would be pretty awesome I think.

Then again, it'll probably be spammed if that were the case.
