I was meaning graphic's and features wise how there gonna differ because i dont wanna be missing out on anything that the PS4 vers is gonna offer.

Ps3 is 12v12 maybe 16v16.
Ps4 is 32 v 32.

Other features that i can forsee being left out of ps3 are commander and spectator modes.

Well you will be missing out wont you, Why would people bother with the PS4 if the graphics and features were comparable with the PS3.

I'd figure the main differences would be -

.No spectator mode for PS3 - 360.
.No commander mode.
.Way smaller maps.
.Lower player count.
.less detailed destruction.

Of course if you ment missing out on certain weapons and maps, I doubt DICE would pull something like that.

On another note, I've got my funds saved to pre order my PS4. Just have to decide who to go with. Was going to go with shopto.net at ÂŁ350.00.

Then found it at ÂŁ335.00 at toys r us.

I'll probably opt for a BF4 LE bundle though.

One sad thing I noticed however, Looks like the XBOX one will be BF4's favoured platform. From the use of 'one' controllers in the E3 multiplayer event and the way the platforms are listed on EA websites it looks pretty clear to me. So I wouldnt be surprised to see DLC and such appearing on the xbone before PS4 -PC. I hope this is not the case but it looks like the case.

I thought that was already confirmed?

Ps3 is confirmed to be 12vs12. And I'm sure it'll be a super watered down version talked to dude at GameStop he said the bundle would be available on release day for the ps4, but he said it hadn't been confirmed but he's positive it would be on release day or within that week. So I'm skipping the ps3 version and saving for the ps4/ new ps plus membership thing we have to buy to play multiplayer. Yes, Xbox is the favored one this time they get everything first all 3,118 people that buy the new Xbox will get it first lol!

I haven't seen any official announcement of this kind. I'm sure if they had let it be known they or microsoft would have made a big deal about it by now. Especially considering the xbone needs all the help it can get.

It's on battle log or the BF4 page there's a dlc section that talks about the second expansion pack. In the paragraph it says Xbox will be the console this time.

Usually it is created on the first console then when the next console comes out, it is ported to that console and actually doesn't look as good as all the other games on that console. Same happened with BF2 Modern Combat. It came out for xbox then was ported to the 360. While it looked a little better than the xbox version, it didn't look anywhere near as good as other 360 games. Same thing happened with NFS: Most Wanted. Just 2 examples.

Difference is BF4 can already run on High end PCs ,plus how easy it is to code for the next gen consoles and you can probably gather that there will be big differences between current gen and next gen versions.

What you're refering too will probably me be more noticable in games like FIFA

It was the EXACT same discussion back when those games came out too. Its exactly the same. BF2 MC and Most Wanted were already running on high end pcs back then too. I seriously the exact same situation all over again. Games that are multi-gen go through the same process every time. This process is nothing new from PS2 to PS3 and xbox to 360.

But in this case the next gen consoles have the same architecture as PC. They can code the game for both almost the same way whereas the PS3 is completely different. The PS3 version will be a dumbed down version and the process you described will run in reverse thus time.

I read on a gameinformer article that you join the game on the PC or console. Should you wish to play on a tablet, then the PC/console generates a QR code that your tablet scans and you're then able to play on your tablet.

EDIT: finnracer, it's been confirmed that Xbone and PS4 get 64 players (or 66 counting commanders). PS3 and 360 get 24+2 players.

I wonder if a pc player could become a commander in a ps4 game and vice versa. That would be pretty slick.
Since its being done through an app i could see it as being a possibility.

Battlefield 4 Campaign Details

Battlefield Blog
The world is on the brink of chaos, China is the tinderbox and you and your squad are the inadvertent spark that could ignite a global conflict. This is Battlefield 4. As Sergeant Daniel Recker, you play as a member of an elite group of unlikely heroes known as Tombstone squad, navigating the turmoil around you as you fight to save the final hope for peace.

In Battlefield 4, you take on the role of Sergeant Daniel Recker, member of an elite group of soldiers known as Tombstone squad. While on a mission to collect intelligence from a defecting Russian General in Baku, Azerbaijan, your squad is discovered and you must fight your way through waves of Russian troops in order to escape. Upon getting back to the USS Valkyrie, a Wasp class carrier, the intelligence you’ve retrieved confirms previous suspicions. The Chinese Admiral Chang is planning a coup in China, and if this happens, the Russians would back him up.

With this intel secure, the USS Valkyrie sets a course for Shanghai. You and Tombstone squad are sent on a covert mission into the city to extract a group of VIP’s. China is in uproar after the U.S. has been implicated in the assassination of Jin JiĂ©, the future leader and voice for peace in China. Admiral Chang has canceled elections and martial law has been declared. As U.S. and Russian naval forces position themselves off the coast of China, and the situation quickly escalates into a stare down akin to a tinderbox waiting for a spark.

In Shanghai, protestors clash with police as the streets are filled with chaos and turmoil. Tombstone manages to find the VIP’s, among them a CIA field operative known as Laszlo W. Kovic. With him is a mysterious individual that the Chinese military has been franticly searching for. Together with Kovic you fight your way out of Shanghai and back to the Valkyrie as countless civilians flee the city, many of which are brought aboard the Valkyrie as refugees. With communications dead, the Valkyrie sets course for Singapore to rendezvous with the USS Titan and the 7th US carrier group at their last known position. As you reach Singapore you are shocked to find a horrific scene of fire and mayhem. The flagship is sunk and its fleet is eradicated, and from this point on nothing is certain.

Possible spoiler, so highlight at your own discretion.đź‘Ť

You can purchase the deluxe edition for PC on Origin, as well I think.

Quite simply, couldn't understand a word of what he said. I'll wait for Beta... ;)
