Demo is up in the Aus PSN store also. Same path as in dr slumps post. đź‘Ť

On the PC front it seems to running ok for me, getting the odd real bad slow down when lots of action on screen but as been stated I'm not sure if the video cards are being fully utilized correctly.
By the sound of the fans on mine they are not doing a lot of work. I just left the graphics settings on auto which gave me a mix of Ultra and High.

A bit early for me to give initial impressions as I'm generally a rubbish keyboard player. The extra destruction does look good though.

Also plenty of servers to choose from here when I tried it a couple of hours ago, didn't have to queue once.

Well that sucks...

Joining a server... It says "JOINING SERVER" in a blue bar in bottom of the browser... Goes like 10-15 seconds... And nothing happens... Way to go Dice!

Damn the controls are awful.

No matter what layout I chose, there's always something terribly wrong.
Why can't they just give us a completely free button layout... WHY???

I played three games this morning before I set off to work. I played two games of Conquest Domination and one of Conquest. The very first match went pretty well.

It was Domination. The team I was on seemed to be attempting to work together and push to capture objectives. I recorded three kills: two with the AK-12 and one with the M320. The recoil on the AK-12 seemed odd. I guess I should not have been using the AN-94 so much recently in BF3. :odd: The AN-94 is so different from everything else that it was not a good choice to use to prepare for a new game. Though, it should just take a bit of time to become more accustomed to new game. Not a big deal.

My second match of Domination went awfully. The team I was on seemed to be more concerned with killing players on the other team rather than pushing and holding objectives. đź‘Ž I tried to push objectives, but doing so mostly alone left me to engage multiple enemies. I stood little chance engaging multiple hostiles. Further, it did not help that many of the people on the other team had already been playing the Beta for over three hours. :grumpy:

The third match was somewhere in between the first two. This was my first match of Conquest. The team I was on started out well and was in the lead for most of the game. However, the other team made a big push and managed to wrangle control away. I did not do well in the match and was mostly a bullet sponge. I did however get to experience the counter knife. I guess the person did not want to reload his weapons. The person decided to try and knife me from the front. He quickly received a counter knife and a death. It was glorious. I have become quite sick of ridiculous knife kills from the front that have little chance of actually succeeding. Being able to flip the table on that crap is going to be nice.

Come and join the PC Master Race. You can customize every control here. :D

Just a few screenshots before I go to work. :(

This is with everything on Ultra, averaging 85 FPS.

You might want to look into adjusting your sensitivity. The default setting feels a bit sluggish. I jumped into a game of BF3 to see what my mouse sensitivity was set at there and it looked to be a bit higher than the default in BF4. However, I did not have time to try out a higher sensitivity in BF4 this morning.

All three of the games I played felt pretty good game play wise, minus the mouse sensitivity. Granted, my player character did seem to have be carrying a bit more heft in comparison to BF3. However, that perception could be completely due to playing with a slightly lower mouse sensitivity.

Somewhat recently, I did slight lower the DPI on my mouse. When I did that, my player character in BF3 felt sluggish compared to what I was accustomed to. After playing with it that way for a while, that feeling went away.

Best water interaction I've "felt" to date. It really had the feeling of volume and thickness.

I really wish I had time to give a good go this morning but I have to get the kids to school and I to work.

Enjoy the day guys (you slackers that are staying home that is....). :)

Jumping into and playing a few games this morning before going to work was probably the worst thing I could have done.

I have premium on the ps3. Does this mean I have early access on the ps3? Im on the origin website and its saying the beta is out on the 4th????

Cant wait to hear some opinions of this game. Thanks for posting pics. BF3 already looked amazing so the general feedback for BF4 is that graphically its quite similar overall.

Quite similar with a bump in textures and a retooling of their water.

I wonder if it has those upgrades on the PS3 and 360 versions. Heard this gen console versions of BF4 look about the same as BF3.

I imagine it looks very good on PC. Probably much easier to notice the new textures and water on pc.

Map from hell, vehicles are a pain to drive, can't hear enemies, aim feels as if it had two stages, chaos, "team" based modes feel like FFA, loading screen is just a black screen, need to press a button to stop diving, spread doesn't seem to exist, spotting for dummies, what's suppression again?, can't even invite others from the main menu, barely noticeable if getting hit, stupid aim assist, laser guns, can hardly pick up kits, bipod does weird things, terrible controls, menues might look stylish but are functionally bad, etc.

So far, I don't like it.

In the two pics I posted of me swimming in the water gives you an idea of how the water is now changing the environment. There wasn't as much bobbing around as I had thought there would be, but that was also just from a few seconds of swimming across the canal. The big change in the water is more volume-metrics to it and actually has more physical traits, but as for now, those traits only seem to be visual. Now if my elevation changewith the waves as I swam across, oh man...., and maybe it does, but I haven't had a chance to really play around with it yet.

Wow, I haven't experienced any of those things. I hope they get those issues ironed out for the actual release. I'm surprised that the PC is showing better support out of the gate.

What are your PC specs? I can't even get mine above 30 FPS.

I am running the latest beta drivers from Nvida that includes a SLI profile for BF4.

3770k with x2 780's in SLI.

With mostly "high" settings, I was getting over 150fps.

Domination on Shanghai:

New game, spawn, the half team runs to the next flag (chinese team I think), half of them gets shot before the flag got captured.

Seriously, every COD handles domination better than BF4 on Shanghai (although I can't speak for MW3 and BO2).

The map does look nice and the collapsing skyscraper is truly an attraction (in conquest), but the map just isn't good for Domination.

Cover system isn't working propperly.

I hope this gets figured out. I can get over 100 FPS on bf3 but same settings on beta gives me less than 30

Ohhh I like that constant progression of points while you capture the flag in Conquest. Conquest is all I play. Usually you only get credit for the very last second of the capture. That's a nice addition to BF4 and will be even more motivating to capture the flag asap. Very smart.

One thing is for sure. When I get BF4 I will get the premium edition for sure so I get a discount on all maps. I didn't do that for BF3 and regret it. But again, I wasn't even sure if I was going to like BF3 after the crappy beta they released. Got BF3 for Christmas and ended up loving it. One of my favorite mp games for the 360. So I am really looking forward to BF4. Just haven't decided if I will be getting it at launch.

Hate to sound like an idiot but how do you make the skyscraper fall down like at E3?
Don't you have to shoot like the supporting pillars or something?

Man, i'm still not getting in a server...

Keep getting the blue bar, and joining server... Then nothing.
