I thought R3 was knife...

Damn it's been quite a while since I played it the last time.

COD? L3 is sprint, R3 is knife, circle is crouch/prone, x is jump/ climb over things, square is reload/pick up gun, triangle is cycle weapons, L1 ADS (PS3), R1 shoot (PS3), L2 tactical grenades (PS3), R2 lethals (PS3).

The inputs for aiming and shooting and throwing tactical/lethals are inverted on the XBOX. Everything else, stays the same (position wise - X=A, square=X, triangle = Y, circle = B)

Watched a couple gameplay videos of this. Is that weather dynamic or scripted? Regardless its awesome having weather online!

Not planning to buy this game in the near future, but I'm definitely downloading the beta! :)

Whoa so it really is true that the console versions will be 64 players? Dang! Closest I have seen to that on the 360 is Frontlines Fuel Of War with 50 players online. Well not counting Defiance which was well over 100+ players on the screen at once but that's a MMO. So I guess it doesn't count.

Next Gen 64. Current Gen 24 :P

Battlefield 4 Demo was running on a single R9 290X at AMD’s event. 5760×1080

AMD R9 290X off-screen and blurry single player gameplay.

Grumble....grumble....direct feed is needed.

I really, really, really, need to call in sick on Tuesday...

I am considering taking the week of the full BF4 release off. I have something like two and a half or three weeks of vacation I need to use before the end of the year. I think spending most of a week off playing BF4 would be a good use of one week of vacation.

I'm with ya, but will have to wait until after the 10th of the month. First 10 days are off limits, but that leaves the other 20 days open for BF4. :)

O...K? Recommended graphics cards: 7870 or GTX 660, both are 2GB cards. Recommended graphics memory: 3GB.

What?

That'd be like saying a GTX770 will struggle with this game.

Riiiight.

This game was optimized with AMD cards, though, which is probably why they came up with this requirement. I expect AMD cards to out-perform nVidia cards pretty easily over the BF4 title. So those with a 7950 and 7970 will be perfectly fine to max out this game.

But, yeah, we are starting to move on to next-gen games and there will be a point where 3Gb of VRAM will be the way to go. I'm expecting nVidia's Maxwell cards to have at least 3Gb of VRAM as well. The 2Gb card days are pretty much over.

Still, current-gen cards will easily play this game at 1080p. I wouldn't dare to put my money on resolutions above that, though. After all, apart from the potential chance of new high-res textures, there's graphically nothing new to this game over BF3.

Best card you can buy at this moment? The R9-290X. By a long shot.

It's Siege of Shanghai definitely. I believe you might get to play that water/island with weather change too, can't remember it's name.

I think Conquest and Domination was the game modes.

That map is called Paracel Storm and hoping it's an extra map on the BF4 beta for PC as well as the Obliteration game mode, much like the PC version of the BF3 beta got Caspian Border and the Conquest game mode as an extra.

Yes, Conquest and Domination are the game modes.

Can you even buy this card yet???

I wouldn't say by a long shot if you are talking performance, but certainly for the price. Then again, slap a second "cheap" nvidia card it for dedicated physics and run a game that is optimized for it, and then see the gap close up. Looking for a dedicated card for the Frostbite engine, then look no further than AMD.

Already booked my day off. Doesn't start for me until 5pm on October 1st so I'll be playing from around 6pm onwards and waking up very much in the late afternoon of the 2nd.
