You get To choose a map and how many players are in it. I haven't had any luck at all bringing people to quick matches with me.

Yesterday I would get probably 30 conquest servers to choose from but today I'm lucky to get any 3 or 4 at the most. I've also had 3 out of my 4 games crash today. Until today I think I had only crashed twice in a conquest game.

It looks like it's going to be awhile before this is working properly. It's a shame too because I love the gameplay when it works.

Keep in mind that quick match just puts you into an empty slot in a server regardless of location. You could end up in games with people from different continents and your ping will be quite high.
 
Gamers Gate are selling Premium (PC) at 30% off, it's £27.99 and you get £1.40 in blue coins (their store credit currency) so I guess technically it's £26.59...? I felt it's a good price so I bought it, even though I was going to wait for it to hit £20. Still can't play this or anything else until my girlfriend has moved out though, I can't get a minute to myself let alone the ~30 I'd need to finish a single round.

Though, seriously, I wasn't aware that i was flying behind the border, and then the game gets all shaky on my PC if I go behind it...
Usually I'm fairly good in helis. Not pro good, but I manage to stay alive for a bit and since I unlocked the bigger canon, mowing down infantry is awesome.
 
No the day before. You were coming in to land by an objective I had just taken. I started to run towards you to get a ride, then you opened up the cannons and tore me apart!!
 
Well I've played it for a while now. It's a good game. But it doesn't feel as finished as BF3. I played Commander a few times on our new iPad Air that we bought on Black Friday and its pretty fun. But it's annoying when they don't follow your orders. The game on current gen consoles aren't that bad. The graphics ad sounds are a step down from BF3. The maps are way too big for 24 players (conquest, not sure about domination, rush, or obliteration). I'd give it 7/10 for current generation consoles.
 
Golmund Railway can be fun. The village area is similar to the village/construction area of Bandar Desert in that infantry can usually compete and vehicles are not completely necessary. The vehicle play can be pretty good also.

On a different note, I am taking a liking to the ACR. It took me a while to warm up to the weapon and become more accustomed to how the weapon handles. The ACR may be one of my go to weapons. My initial disappointment with the ACR likely has to do with the BF4 version handling differently to the BF3 version. The BF3 ACR was the weapon I ended up with the most kills with.

The ACW-R was my top gun in BF3 as well and the difference in the BF4 version is very noticeable. Sure it seems recoil is more pronounced but you do get a higher rate of fire and still keep that super fast reload time. I'm still trying out the other Carbines (and still loving the AKU-12) but I'm sure I'll get back on the ACW-R train before all is said and done.
 
Well I am not a big fan of China Rising so far. However, it has nothing to do with the maps. Each one I have played looks fantastic and it looks like each will probably be fun to play on.

The problem I have so far is all I have been able to do on the maps is pretty much spawn and then quickly die thereafter. I have been trying to capture objectives and avoid being involved in big firefights. Doing that has just ran me into multiple enemies at whatever objective I try to capture. It has also been awesome playing on the losing side of unbalanced teams on each server I have tried. Granted, I have played for maybe only an hour, but constantly dying is a quick way to ruin the experience.
 
I played some on PS4 tonight and along with all of the existing issues I wasn't getting double XP for some reason. It amazes me at how broken it can be at times, the patch gets delayed, yet DICE is pushing out DLC. I really want to love this game and recommend it to friends but they make it so hard.
 
Well in the UK on PS4 we didn't even get the DLC yesterday. I have premium and the in-game premium menu even notified me that China Rising was out today. The last time I checked the store for it was 11.50PM.
 
I played every map once yesterday, so I can't really say alot, but they are big and beautiful.
 
I pre-ordered China Rising but because I'm not premium, I have to wait until Dec 17th. :grumpy:
 
Nobody seems to understand the preorder china rising deal.
It does not give early access amd never stated anywhere that it would.
It does give it to you for free wwhen it is publically available.



Yesterday was a horrible bf day.
Logged on around 5pm hoping for maps but ps store hadnt updated yet. No big deal. Try to play and freeze out of first 3 games. Deleted all gamw data and cleared browser cache as it seemed to help with bf3 freezes. Recheck store and it updated but no maps yet. Continue to try playing and maybe finish one round before more freezing issues.
All told i lost 10 rounds of 2xp and 1 hour of 200%boost.

Maps showed up in store at 11pm est. For my first time ever i had zero issues with downlaod and instLl of a battlfield product.Normally, like with every bf3/bc2 map pack, i would have errors at 95%install and have to start over. Usually 3 or 4 times. So hooray new maps, lets try them out. Bam freeze, went to bed.

And the patch broke voice chat. it is constantly cutting in and out now.


MAybe today will be smoother now that everyone isn not trying to download china rising.
 
I some how managed to find China Rising. It wasn't in the store under add-ons but i found it in the library section on the console. For anyone wondering its a 3.8GB download
 
It's a shame that China Rising doesn't come out for another 2 weeks. I thought it was going to make the last few days before GT6 fly by, but I guess since I get it on the 17th, I'll probably never play it
 
I am still terrible at flying jets. For that reason, Air Superiority is the same awful game mode that it was in Battlefield 3, at least the three maps with jets. The attack chopper version of Air Superiority is somewhat fun.
 
I absolutely love the Commander App, an amazing addition to BF4, and combined with the Battlelog App, is way better at device integration than its competitior ;). The Commander mode is also beneficial as a steady points generator (depending on how skilled you are as a strategist) and a K/D preserver/raiser, if you care about that sort of thing (which I don't personally).

Looks like for a change EA has accepted they made a mess of this release. Dice has been told to stop work on all other games and not to start on them again until the problems with BF4 are fixed.

Oh and yes the PS4 version has loads of issues for me and friends. We can't play conquest large without frequent crashes and TDM works better but gets a bit boring for me after a few rounds. Most on my friends list seem to have shelved this until it gets fixed.

If you guys spam the evac and the promote squad, you'll earn a ton of points. I can get maybe 1500+ points on a good round.

~1500+ is not a ton of points. ;)

When you closing in on 15000-20000, then you are getting tons of points. :P
