I'm downloading the update from presumably ages ago as I type... I suppose I might be able to play tomorrow, let's see how long I last this time. Last time it was about a week, I think.

Edit: Just played a few rounds of TDM with the SKS, SVD-12 and CZ-805. I still love DMRs for their ability to embarrass snipers, I have no idea why they think if I hit them once or even twice I might not hit them a third time... Also I had the usual rigmarole of being accused of camping despite having killed the same guy in different locations each time, then being able to track him down reliably because he himself was camping. Oh and he also tried to tell me I was lagging even though my ping was under 50ms the entire time. I just think he didn't like being killed by a DMR at assault rifle range.

I really need to spend more time with the DMRs. I always end up ditching them quickly because I do not take the time to adjust how I play to better suit the weapon.

Next I'm going to try and unlock some attachments for guns I've hardly used, starting with the M16A4, PP-2000 and ACW-R (equipped on both Support and Recon because I hate LMGs). I have a whole load of PP-2000 attachments from battlepacks so I won't have the initial teething problems, but I have absolutely nothing for the ACW-R. I at least have a suppressor for the M16A4, though.

I have been using the ACW-R a lot lately and it is awesome. The carbine is an absolute buzzsaw in close quarters. The high fire rate ensures plenty of bullets on target and the very fast reload helps keep magazines topped off. Being a carbine, the damage dropoff at range is noticeable. With multiple, very short bursts, the weapon can reach out and hit targets. However, moving to a closer range is advisable, as the weapon is ill suited to longer ranges.

The M16A4 is another weapon I have used recently. The weapon could be better. While my Kills/Min is quite high with the weapon, it has caused me some deaths, as I am able to hit the fire rate limit much too easily and consequently no bullets are shot because of the fire rate limit. Outside of that issue, the weapon works pretty well. After a certain range, it is better to switch to single fire, as the third bullet will nearly always miss, the second bullet will miss much too often, and precious ammunition is wasted on multiple bursts trying to land bullets on target.

I do not think I have used the PP-2000 outside of the Test Range. Just checked and I have not.

How?, did you lose the bipod attachment for your knife to? :)

Expansions. Prior to Naval Strike, I was at the level cap. With the release of Naval Strike and Dragon's Teeth, the level cap has increased 20 levels and I have not kept up.

@Brett, oh yeah I've been at the older level caps before they have been increased also. I just thought you were at level 130 and you lost progress or something.

@ryanaldoblanco Nope, just have not kept up with the new level cap after the last two expansions. I needed a break from Battlefield not too long after Naval Strike was released and did not play BF4 a whole lot after that expansion released. However, I have been playing Dragon's Teeth quite a bit and have gained a few levels, but still have a ways to go to get to 130.

@Speedy6543 I'm assuming you and the other 9is guys got the boot due to performing above what the clan running that server wanted? I changed my USA dogtag to a support something something dogtag and didn't get booted from the server after rejoining... lol.

9Ls tag ;)
It's from a Flemish Gaming community 9 Lives. :)

I suppose so, it made me think about that BFF's episode with the server admin.
I think if we rejoined without the clantag, we wouldn't get kicked because it would not be so obvious and just some blokes in the same squad.

:dunce: This entire time I thought that was an I.

I don't think they can see who is in each squad, otherwise I probably would have been kicked again for being in the same squad with you guys. My friends and I contemplated removing our tag many times in BF3 because we'd get kicked a lot from servers. One time it was just me and one other and we got banned from a server before the loading screen finished. There's a bit of a backstory on that one since we had previously been banned from that clan's previous server. I guess the two of us had been so great against them that they didn't forget us when we returned.

We changed our clan name when the BF4 platoon feature went live, so it's like a fresh start for us and Atlas International Securities. :sly:

This discussion reminds me, recently I was on a team spawncamping the enemy on a Metro Max Tickets lobby.

The enemy team had several members of the clan running the server.

...see where this is going?

First I got kicked, then shortly after I rejoined, about half my team conveniently went missing all at once. Those of us that remained tried to hold the line, but eventually got pushed back into our own spawn, where we stayed despite reinforcements logging on to the server. I don't quite remember how close we came to breaking out of their spawn camp, but we lost the game.

Hey clan, an epic comeback doesn't mean anything if you had to kick half the enemy team to pull it off.

I had an interesting game today. A sniper really liked the construction building overlooking the dish in rogue transmission and I went sniper hunting after him. Well we went back and forth killing each other then at one point, he was in a corner of the open building and I had killed him with my aek-971 and ran over to look at his M98 for a second just to take a quick look for what ever reason and he thought I had T-bagged him. He made it his whole mission to get me in the next game. He got me pretty good in the next game. It's kind of hard to explain how it all went down but it was just a fun game. I was going to message him "good game" but he sent me one first saying something like that's what happens to t-baggers, I laughed and explained what happened, it was pretty funny.

Why spawncamp people in a game? I never understood why people do that in games. :(

I refuse to spawn kill people on purpose. If our team is dominating in any game, I sit at the nearest objective but not their base and that's where I hold. I HATE being spawn killed so I don't do it to others ever on purpose.

There must be something in the water lately. All of the sudden I now have 3 or 4 counter knifes when about a week or two ago I had zero. The latest one was pretty funny. It was capture the flag @ sunken dragon. I had just taken the enemy flag and jumped in the water as a firefight broke out in water everyone died just as I jumped in and emptied my mag. There was one guy left out of ammo as I was reloading he tried to knife me and I got him with his knife. So I counter knifed a guy while swimming and carrying the flag :).

X1
Had a chance to play for a good couple hours last night. I LOVE THIS GAME!! The chaos, the death, the explosions, 60fps, the audio, just simply love it!!!! I had several "xbox record that" moments last night because there was just so much awesome stuff going on. I even recorded an event when I killed someone for the first time with a blow torch.

I cant believe how much I use the Kinect during this game. "Ammo" "Medic" "Attack Bravo" "Deploy" "Thank you". Just such a wonderful experience.

I watched that video! haha, I've only got a couple of them, and Defibrillator kills are just as hilarious. When I finished with Netflix I saw that you where on, but you happened to get off while I was getting to Battlefield. I had just missed you.

I recorded several random videos and need to clean out the junk but the blow torch is my fav. haha Oh and the rocket kill on the helicopter too. I liked that a lot.

The time difference always kills us during the week with you being 3 hours behind me.

Good thing I don't care about K/D in games because mine has to be terrible right now. I spend too much time looking at scenery and 3d reacting water and just random events. But it sure is fun. :D Had a building drop on me yesterday.

The level with the Dam is my favorite so far. Cant wait to see the dam come down sometime too. I will also be getting the season pass for this game for sure.

I have a couple of chopper take downs with RPG's saved, its just lost in the garbage because the One records every single damn thing in BF4 haha. I also have one with an 11 kill streak running behind enemy lines with a supressor, took them all out in less then a minute, but ran out of all of my ammo, even my pistol haha.

My KD was horrible when I started because I was doing the same thing. Right now I'm at 1.31 and rising. Once the hype passes you'll start rising again

The expansion is great, I still havent played all maps yet though, so let me know when you do get it and we'll go through them, as I'm still new to most of it as well.

I'm never recording/streaming when I pull off crazy stuff. Like, just a few hours ago I was sniping with an 870 on Dawnbreaker from one of the lower buildings.

Also pulled off a few SRAW shots and spent 98% of a conquest round on Paracel Storm in one of the attack boats.

Even with all that good stuff, the game still has it's moments where hit detection runs away and hides in a corner.

When you just pulled off something crazy, you can push your share button or hold the share button, depending on how you set it up.
It will take you to another screen and you can cnoose 'upload video'. This will save the past 15min gaming you've just done.
Quickly shorten it in share factory, otherwise copying a 15min video from the PS4 to a USB flash drive will take about an hour.

So true, sadly.
It get's frustrating sometimes but I still don't see myself playing any other game at the moment. I just love BF too much. :)

Not sure if you guys played Bad Company 2, but pump action shotguns with slugs in that game were sniper shotguns. With no bullet drop or damage drop-off on them, it was just aim at spotted enemy and shoot for an almost certain kill. :sly:

I got my brother addicted to this game last night. We had a dang blast!! I also have 2 more friends coming on board with BF4 over the weekend. On top of that I have at least 3 friends getting the X1 in the VERY near future. As I said before, most of them were just waiting for me to take the leap.

As for K/D I really have never cared about it. Granted I will probably start dying less as I play more, but I focus more on fun and collecting the objectives.

I'm not purposely bumping my KD, it's just that when using a suppressor it gets easy to get multikills especially when sneaking around. I started playing as pistol only, recently, and was actually really enjoying that. Other then that I play the objective all the time.

Although if my team is absolutely rubbish and are camp sniping then ill just do whatever.

That's due to suppressors keeping you off of the minimap and not being heard at the same time. Only negative to suppressors is range, but if you're using a suppressor, you're not worried about range.

My kd is 0.97 it goes down when I play conquest and goes up along with my spm when I play tdm or domination. I love using the ace-23 with suppressor the best gun for me so far haven't used another for a while I can't snipe anyone got any ideas how to get better? I want to unlock the l96a1 but suck :P.

I'm lvl 55 now with 91hours of gameplay not bad.

My favorite weapon before I unlocked the MTAR was the A91 with a Silencer. That thing is an absolutely beast, and to be honest I'm not sure if I like that, or the MTAR better. I'm also horrible at sniping, but I'm gradually learning, I just make sure to use the pistol when I'm on the move.

I'm currently at level 65 at 60 hours.

I am totally aware of that :P what sucks is I got so used to that style of gameplay that when I start out with a new weapon I usually end up doing bad and having to switch up my play style.

I need to start looking at all the guns and kit options. Really have not put any time into any of that yet. Just so consumed with the game and overwhelmed by everything going on. Really need to set some time aside to check out the different packages and camo for the guns. I don't think I have opened any of my packages since I started. Probably a ton of stuff in there. I am still using the default guns too. :dunce:

In BF3 I used the AK dang near the entire length of my lifetime with BF3. I had around 1,200 games and almost 300 hours into BF3.

68 Hours with the AKS-7u. Really like the AK a lot. On single shot I could snipe across the map with it.

I try to balance my setups with a decent accuracy and stability setup. Odd that those two particular stats offset each other instead of helping each other. Better stability should improve accuracy.

If you've got battlepacks to open, you should definitely do it. A lot of the good weapon equips are hidden away in battlepacks.

In the beginning you're unlocking things so fast that you dont really get the time to get to know each weapon. I didnt really settle on certain guns until I unlocked every gun in it's class. I prefer guns that have a High RPM but give atleast some stability for some distance kills.

I've recently fell in love with the F2000. For a gun that shoots damn fast, it is actually very controllable.

We'll get some games going this weekend @CAMAROBOY69 👍 Gives me an excuse to finally dust off that clunky mic the Xbox One comes with.

I just go for pure stability haha.

To add to that, once you get Premium, you're going to have a boatload of packs to open :)

If you see me on over the weekend just hop into the party. I have at least 3 other friends all getting BF4 this weekend so it should be an epic noob fest with all of us. :dopey:

A question about the care packs or packages. Do they disappear if I don't use them or are they piled up somewhere? I seriously only opened 3 packs the first day I started the game and have opened none since.
