Best/Worst You've Dealt With in GTA Online

Well, I'm glad someone else saw it happen--and was indeed in the vehicle when it happened--but I'm sad to say I can't show it to others. :(

I was running through missions with a pair of players that I gather knew each other (because their names were so similar), one a rank 160 and the other a rank 22, and we happened upon Denial Of Service. I called up my Savage and the 160 called up a Hydra but got into the side of my chopper and let the 22 take the Hydra. Last truck appears nearby and I take it out quickly, drawing a wanted level and police blips on the minimap so I hastily descend to get the case when I clip a fixed (can't knock it over) pole, at which point I start rocking uncontrollably and then flip completely on my chopper's longitudinal axis...and save it.

I found myself in the middle of some deathmatches yesterday. I was playing with friends, and we did a few deathmatches.
The first one we did was an FFA RPG deathmatch, and I wound up winning it. The next one we did was a shotgun deathmatch I made. I was put with a modder who didn't use his mods, and the other team had the best player in the game and a girl who always wants to do deathmatches. It wound up being a close game because while I went 15-8, the modder went 8-15. However, the girl began to get really irritated at the deathmatch. Later on, we did another deathmatch in the FIB building, and I had the modder and the best player in our friend's group. We routed the girl and her friends, and one of her friends ragequit. Right after that, we did an Insurgent race and the girl quit after the race ended.

For me, it was a good day because my K/D finally started going in the right direction again, but I don't understand why some people want to do some things and then complain about dying in them.

I always wondered what it means to be a "modder who didn't use his mods".

Is it a guy who actually announces that, or a level boosted guy? Because there are a few people who boost levels without intent (a modder did it for them).

When I say it, I mean a modder (with jailbroken ps3 and scripts) who isn't using any of the mod menus. I know three modders, and of the three, I avoid doing any sort of combat with two of them because the other two always run their menus during any sort of combat. I mentioned a story in this thread a long time ago involving the same modder I was playing with yesterday (rockets vs planes LTS) in which he raged at a teammate for running into his plane which killed them both. Hell, just yesterday, he stood in the open and had my brother blow him up with a rocket during an LTS because he realized he had god mode on after crashing a Besra.

It seems the *Star servers are a little more stable. I'm not getting the mass exodus "X user has left" as often and can complete a bunch of Free Mode Events in the same session. That includes taking out The Beast once again. The Beast visited a few landmarks near the Shamble Street area. I go to that location and it appeared he went around the ship yard area, so I went to the Merryweather port, and by chance there was a Buzzard there. Just my luck The Beast visited a landmark by Simeon's garage and I took flight. Got a missile lock and fired as much as I can. It seems each missile was close, and just as The Beast took a corner a little too wide I got a good hit.

...then it was the dreaded "Saving failed, unable to connect to *Star game services" for about a 1/2 hour.

Just finished a 8 man race..

.. on DEDALUS..

.. lasting 5 laps..

..with 5 rage quits..

If this is one way for slowly descending into insanity, then I'd prefer taking drugs, thanks.

I was invited to a yacht last night. I started exploring the interior, then the owner sent us all to the deck...and of course I was spawn killed. But it wasn't what they expected. After a few more deaths, I turned the table on...what I think was 3 against one. With my Heavy Shotgun and RPG, I killed them pretty much 2 to 1. That's 3 vs me. On the lower deck, there's stairs that's easy to take em out with the shotty, and a long narrow deck on the side I can destroy them with ease with the RPG.

Eventually I dove off..and swam under the yacht. From the looks of it, they thought I was still on board and appeared they were frantically searching for me. I drowned..and spawned on the beach. Out comes the heavy sniper. 3 shots and they're all dead. I can hear them on their mics "WHERE IS SHE???" (I was playing my female character..) After sniping them 2 or 3 more times one finally sniped me. I think boarding someone's yacht will be my favorite past time now.

So I'm in a rather well populated lobby. The majority of the population is down at the beach blowing their brains out attacking yachts.

A free roam event notification pops up, and it's Moving Target. Never tried it before, but the premise is easy enough. Basically Transporter, but the car is the package.

I drive to the location up by the vineyards, and see a Dukes o Death. Get in, and quickly realise I had a tail. Some random in a teal Armored Kuruma.

I floor it following the GPS route. We end up going through some dangerous roads including the rally stage by the water falls near Fort Zancudo. I am able to gain a considerable lead through that trail.

In the end I got to the event with the random trailing 1mile behind and $26k in my pockets. He finally reaches the destination, which is the area where Franklin, Michael, and Trevor lock up someone in their car and throw them overboard.

I see a nearby boulder and take cover. He's on the lther side of this ridge. So I start throwing stickies until he comes out. Sure enough, he floors it and climbs up, revealing his driver window. Aim carefully through the opening and pop the sucker and take his car.

I spend the next 20 minutes doing the time trial that is nearby. At this point he's just raging.

I sent him a message saying his car was too slow and unpredictable through the course. I came back to him to drop his car off and order my Shafter LWB. He was AFK.. so I kept going.

After a while, I see his blip moving. I look back, he has the exact same Kuruma and is speeding off. So I thought, if I enter the Time Trial, could I go to my apartment in time to store the car?

NOPE. Out of spite, I didn't tell him he got a duplicate so I just left it in the parking garage where the Korean gang had their Armored Kuruma in the Fleeca job. Don't want that scrub making any more money.

I don't mind heist hosts divvying up the take as they see fit, nor do I mind them taking the role they prefer--it's their heist. I like to be fair; I feel it gets the best out of all involved.

Prison Break. Host takes 55% (and it wouldn't be the first time, but the above statements show that this isn't what I have issue with) and takes the role of Demo (I consider it the easiest, driving the bus is the hardest part). I'm Prisoner, I've been there before and I know what to expect.

First run - my guard doesn't go up and leaves me to die, but instead dies himself.

Second run - my guard fails to climb again and this time I die.

Third run - Pilot doesn't know not to fly over the prison and gets downed before the first jet gets near.

Fourth run - we get through the prison, Demo takes out all the jets, Pilot evades cops and gets us to the drop zone...host doesn't open his chute.

🤬

Edit: Had a blonde moment. Upon completing a successful Prison Break run as Demo, it occurred to me that the hose couldn't have not opened their chute, as Demo lands the chopper on the beach. So...I don't have the foggiest idea how they managed to die.

I will flat-out refuse to do a heist if I don't get 20%. I never ask for more than that, but 15% feels too cheap and I won't trust the host, especially if they're giving significantly more to the other team members.

One time I had a low level join me for the Fleeca job and somehow I was able to get him at 0% of the take and he didn't mind.

I've willingly taken 0% on jobs that didn't pose a great deal of difficulty for me, whilst in a group I had confidence would be successful...because I wanted to unlock free chrome High-End wheels. Tuner are all I have left, and I think one heist's worth of setups will cover it, but I'm not itching to get them.

I went to do a heist last night. Went random and it put me in the prison break finale. Host had 70% a friend of his I'm guessing had 20. Me 10 and this other guy 0. Them 3 were rank 16, 17 and 20. Host was rank 20. I can only imagine the reason I got 10% and not 0% was because I'm level 184 and they figured I could carry them.

On a setup I can but I can't on the heist. We died twice, pretty quickly, then I left. Wasn't worth 10%

I won't even do a heist with randoms. As soon as I get a random heist invite, I delete it. I haven't really had any good stories lately since all I've done recently is sit in private lobbies with friends and talk all day.

I joined a Prison Break Station Set Up last night. Retrieved the Casco, and went on to Wet Work. Dima Popov was easy work, and was Demolition on the finale. Host set us all at 25%, and surprisingly we completed without a hitch. Another 100 grand received.

It's awesome when it works out that way.

I'm a vindictive 🤬.

Joined a Quick Job, it was Denial Of Service with a rank 59. I always go to my Savage and took out all but one of the trucks. I retrieve the case with the other player on my minimap, but as I'm making my way the short distance to my chopper, the 🤬 blows it up and then starts running over me with his pink T20 on neon green Lowrider 5-spokes with whitewalls. I manage to get away and into a Schwartzer, and with him chasing me and tossing stickies, I call up my Hydra and get airborne. Here's the vindictive bit: I message him "have fun getting it" and free fall onto the military base, and then walk into the ocean and drown myself upon respawn. Sat the next 12 minutes laughing as I watched him try to figure out how to get onto the base and then get blown up by a tank.

I did a survival I got randomly invited to and found out afterwords that it had a modder in it. The modder wound up spawning in tanks for everyone in the survival. Easiest 30,000 I've ever made in GTA.

"Yeah... Hey, friend, look, I've been seeing unauthorized aircraft move through Trevor Philips airspace...running guns. How about I let you know when they're in the sky, and you can take 'em down for me. You'll be paid, of course."

Except they never appear!

I'm not sure if this is a current-gen only change that occurred in the past, but I haven't seen a Smuggler Plane, Gerald vehicle blow-up, Lester distraction, or Simeone Priority Vehicle in a long time. Months perhaps.

I got a Gerald target a little over an hour ago, but the last time I got one of the other free mode random events was during the 2x Adversary Mode GTA$/RP Thanksgiving weekend.

Joined another lucrative Heist. Started with Humane Labs Valkerie, breezed through Deliver EMP and host set us up at 20% (i think) which was 136 grand. Only hiccup was the Valkerie was damaged right after exiting the Lab. No biggie as the restart was boarding the Valkerie on the beach.

Best part was it pushed me at just over a mil, and I tried out the VIP menus, and by end of the night made another 100 grand.

Last gen only as these were replaced by Freemode events

If only freemode events (Planes, Distractions, Destroy Vehicles) were as common as they are when a new update comes out. I loved camping on the Vinewood sign in a Buzzard or the Maze Bank Tower in a Hydra and instantly flying to the next event that appeared. Having Armored Trucks spawn near me was fun, too, since I was the host of a private lobby.

Makes sense. I didn't utilise them as much as I should have anyway, but I engage in the current mostly shootemup stuff even less often. Admittedly, it's been a long time since money has been a concern on the game, but with the last update I've been playing some jobs and daily objectives as convenient to offset some of the purchases.

It's boring, but you can start Simeone's 'Blow Up' mission, complete the objective, and just sit until past the 4 minute mark in the mission before walking onto the finish corona and take ~$9300. In a game day you can usually get between 65-85k with this method, and then sell a Sentinel, putting you at near $100k per hour grind. The objective for the mission only takes about 30 seconds including leaving the area/police, so most of the time is spent doing nothing and it can get boring, but it pays fairly well.

Can you expand on this more? I was tempted now that I'm finally over a million, but I'm not sure it's really a serious revenue option versus just doing regular missions or my preferred Freemode events.

There's jobs which can be done solo from the VIP menu which are done in Free Roam.

Hostile Takeover
Retrieve and deliver a package to a set location. Don’t expect that “package” to be something you can fit in your back pocket. Forgot how much this pays.

Asset Recovery (pays 8500.00)
Recover impounded vehicles from the LSPD and deliver to a set location. That’s never going to be easy.

Sightseer (this one nets the most ,23 grand)
The VIP needs to zip around the map completing hacking challenges without getting caught or killed by rival Organizations. Job is easy. Hack the 'info' on your phone. Locate and collect the briefcase. Hack and locate 2 more times. This is much easier by using your VIP privilege with an immediate Buzzard delivery to your location.

There's a cool down period of 5 minutes between jobs.

Encountering people that invite randoms to their Yacht, force everyone outside the cabin and suicide bomb themselves

Passive mode for the win, but it's quite sad to see how far people go to get a few easy kills/troll lmao
