Best/Worst You've Dealt With in GTA Online

You are currently in a session on your own. Oh really. Never mind the huge fire fight up by Eclipse Towers, a Sniper Challenge, and Take Out The Beast, all in the same session. But start a Fly under bridges event and get a mass exodus, leaving me flying a plane for no reason .

There's jobs which can be done solo from the VIP menu which are done in Free Roam.

Hostile Takeover
Retrieve and deliver a package to a set location. Don’t expect that “package” to be something you can fit in your back pocket. Forgot how much this pays.

Asset Recovery (pays 8500.00)
Recover impounded vehicles from the LSPD and deliver to a set location. That’s never going to be easy.

Sightseer (this one nets the most ,23 grand)
The VIP needs to zip around the map completing hacking challenges without getting caught or killed by rival Organizations. Job is easy. Hack the 'info' on your phone. Locate and collect the briefcase. Hack and locate 2 more times. This is much easier by using your VIP privilege with an immediate Buzzard delivery to your location.

There's a cool down period of 5 minutes between jobs.

So would you say it's worth registering? I like the sounds of Sightseer.

On the subject of good people you find online, I was about to head to bed last night when Penned In started. I hadn't done it yet, so went over to the vineyards. I'm only Level 49, and a guy in a maxed out Cheetah in the mid-300s was waiting. I had just jacked an FQ2 as I didn't know what to expect. It was a lot of fun with it just being the two of us, as he wasn't overly aggressive. We both just tried to stay in the shape as long as possible for ourselves. He won, but only just. Sent along a quick thanks for the fun, and got an equally kind message in return. Good to see.

I met a couple Darwin Award candidates last night. I was playing in a private lobby, and everyone was either a friend or a friend of a friend. The friend of mine who was hosting the lobby told her other friends to not screw with four people in particular, and I was one of them (warning was given because the four of us will go after anyone who goes after another one of us, and also one of the four is a modder). Lo and behold, a guy starts going after one of the four who was in the lobby. He just happened to choose the guy that also happened to have the host in his Liberator.

He was asked not to follow him, and he did anyway. Guy then starts an argument with him, and he gets warned to stay away or else he would get shot down. He again didn't listen. Guy and his crew mate start plotting to kill a guy. We all were on alert, and at the time, I lag out.

I find out from friends that they killed a level 26 instead of the my friend he was following and then got into a war with everyone including a modder (lost badly). Another modder joined in an put stuff on one and he got mad and quit. I rejoined in time to see the other guy kept going, had the same thing happen, said we all suck at GTA, and ragequit. Well, common sense 101 says that you shouldn't screw with someone after being warned that there will be reprocussions for screwing with someone. And also, the guy knew that there were modders in the lobby to begin with because a modder had spawned in a giant ramp at Trevor's Airfield before half the people even joined in it.

It is definitely 'worth' it. The only requirement is you have 1 million in your bank, but actually doesn't cost anything. For some reason, Sightseer pays the most but it's the easiest...as long as you're in a solo session. It appears other VIP organizations can make this difficult I guess. Hostile Takeover is a pain because you'll get an immediate 4 star wanted level, but paid 19 grand. Asset Recovery isn't too bad, but you'll have to deliver a vehicle from a police station and deliver it, which is always on the other side of the map. I've only done 3, one was drive an ATV from Sandy Shores to the ship yard at Los Santos, and a Lectro from Paleto Bay to LS. There was one from the Police station by Del Perro but I forgot what the vehicle was.

So..anyway I was a bodyguard, and the VIP set up a Yacht ...stand off (forgot the name). I was at Sandy Shores and took a while to get there. By then there were only a few minutes left, and only one trying to overtake the upper deck. Timer ended and I made over 30 grand for a couple minutes of actual work lol.

Next VIP (new session) started an Executive Search over near the Altruist camp. There was 3 other body guards, and only a small VIP/Bodyguard against us. It was pretty fun, as Buzzards, hills and bridges made it interesting, and made another 30 grand.

So, I stumbled into another problem on last-gen today...

Casually driving around in my armoured Karuma, invite only session, so it's just me. I decided to join a random mission as on call. After a few moments of waiting, as I'm driving around, I get loaded into the mission, but as it loaded, my Karuma disappeared, character lands on his back, but somehow the Karuma is in the mission.

We play it, finish it, and I head back to freemode. Spawn in, no armoured Karuma to be seen. Request it in the interatction menu, wait a minute or so, no car. Call the mechanic, about five times, "Sorry, can't do it." Now I'm worried. Drive back to my garage, no Karuma. Destroy my Pegisus vehical, try to call again, still no Karuma.

Hopefully if I reload the game, it'll be there, but I may need to run a few Heists to pay cor one and upgrade it again, if it doesn't show up...

Shame...thing was fully upgraded too. Thanks R*...

Destroy another vehicle that you know has insurance and see if a 'claim all' option is available when you call the insurance line. That used to be a common problem but I thought they fixed that.

More than once I've called Mors and see 2 vehicle on the list, usually after joining a session the next day. Hmm.... Wonder what happened the day before...

Logged back in and it was sitting right in it's parking spot in my garage. Well...until I brought it out to play in the snow. Must have been a weird glitch or something.

I get this quite often. Spawning in and seeing "You personal vehicle has been destroyed" at least 50% of the time.

Good
  • Currently sitting at $6 Million. The most money I've ever had at once (so far) in GTAO.
  • Matchmaking consisted of only English speaking sessions with good connections.
  • Got a free firework launcher.
  • Snow.

 However, not as bad as when I was driving the Dinghy at the end of the Pacific Standard Job and I accidentally beached it and it blew up killing us all when we were punching it trying to push it back into the water. :(

I once was trying to blow up a van chasing us in the Pacific Standard van mission and missed the sticky toss which blew us up. We were also right at the beach when it happened.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

So, Karin Tactical driver on my last Series A finale run treated it like a race to the drop-off instead of defending the trucks. I realize the gunner couldn't do anything about it either.

I've had that happen to me before. Two other GTP members and I were playing with someone's friend. That friend was the Technical's driver, and left both trucks entirely exposed. Miraculously, we survived it, just barely.

That...may...have been...my...friend...

:P

Yeah we finished it too. I was alone in my truck instead of having Trevor to my right and still managed to down two choppers by spraying the cockpit with my AP--but used 6 top tier body armors getting to the destination.

Damn it. I should've read that you were talking about the finale, not the initial transport mission from the sawmill. :banghead: I had been thinking of the latter mission.

Oh I absolutely loathe that particular setup. I mean, I'll do Coke, but I won't touch Weed because far too much 🤬 can happen to 🤬 it up.
I'll do Coke, but I won't touch Weed
"Phrasing." :P

Stole a Lazer, and terrorized two groups last night. First was a Bounty and his friends at the Kortz Center. After a few blitzes, I blew up someone's Kuruma and netted a 6 grand insurance bill. Turned out the Bounty was only $1000.00

Then it was another group by the Marina helipad. I chased them to the airport until they hid in a building. Tried to land by my garage and crashed. The hiding group exited and headed toward Del Perro apartments. I happen to find a Buzzard and killed a few of them with missiles. Then I landed on a rooftop and sniped a few more. I guess that was my worst.

I did pick a level 16 for a Body Guard. Did some VIP missions and a VIP challenge. The challenge was who can steal the most expensive vehicles and deliver them. I lost by one expensive car lol.

Had a few preteens trying to act tough and ended up becoming extremely racist. They tricked another kid into sitting in a rigged car, and put on the whole "YOU JUST GOT TROLLED" routine. I couldn't stand anymore of their whiny voices and had to leave.

Some kid tried to blow up my car while I was in passive mode, then tried to blow up the plane I got into. Unfortunately, this is the time of year parents but there children new consoles and 18 rated games - we are all victims of the squeaky voiced morons:banghead:

You ain't lyin'. I'm fearful of joining a public lobby on my new PS4. Useing my old mic from the PS3, where it has two dials for game audio and chat audio. For whatever reason, even if I change the setup in my settings, my audio switch only produces static, and all my audio comes out of the chat switch.

Time to learn how go mute people.

Me and a friend have just been using the low levels as cannon fodder in missions. Send them in first, they'll ultimately die but they kill off a few with them then we go in, clear up, deliver/blow up whatever needs doing, we get money and save ammo, the newbie gets money and much needed RP. Everyone wins.

Efficiency in missions, I like it

Amen to that! Me and an IRL friend would do Rooftop Rumble for money. He'd shoot at just aboht everything with his grenade launcher, and I'd pop a few guys in the head with a heavy pistol.

Hey, not my fault I'm better at cost saving methods.

It's like trash talk, you have a good 10 or so trucks to blow up, using a sticky each and that's 5k not including the weapons to kill the enemies too. That's why I use my Buzzard, not really to save time but because the buzzard costs me 200 dollars to request and then it's easy sailing from there on out.
