I wouldn't mind a spoiler on that barn find, but I don't know where to find one honestly.
No one is going to know what's in the barn find until the game goes live and someone finds it. There are a lot of players who would prefer to be surprised by what's in the bard, so as a courtesy, we spoiler tag the barn finds once we know what they are.

Which is what I wanted. I know people don't want spoilers and I would never ask for people to be spoiled.

Because you lot are fussy like that :P

As a Lancisti, I won't consider this Peak Lancia until we have at a minimum the B24 Aurelia Spyder and the holy foursome of Zagato-bodied Lancias, the Flaminia Super Sport, Flavia Sport, Fulvia Sport, and Appia Sport.

Technically, it's Lancista, singular. And I agree, but I must say the Zagato cars are more, shall I say, circuit-oriented? So is, of course, the glorious LC2. Maybe we'll see some of them come to Motorsport 7? Surely, the fact that they are still willing to add Lancias to Forza (and FCA is still willing to license the products of the brand, despite their clear intention to let it die a slow death) is encouraging.

(As for the B24... Well, there is a barn!)

One thing I've just noticed is that the Stratos and S4 are just listed as 'Group 4' and 'Group B' respectively. They're not named with the racing numbers and team like other race cars in the series, so maybe they're unpainted / 'body-in-white' variants? Interesting.

From what I gather Alitalia's asking an inordinate amount of money to license the classic red, green and white livery of the famous Reparto Corse Stratos, and the other viable alternative would be a Marlboro livery. I wouldn't be too surprised to see it appear in a plain color, DiRT Rally-style.

As for the Delta S4... Well, Martini (for the works cars) and Totip (for the Jolly Club) were its main sponsors back in the day - both are as viable as Marlboro for T10/PG. We could maybe get it in the black-and-gold Grifone colors, sans-sponsors - that is, again, the route followed by Codemaster.

I hang my head in shame.

Those four Zagato-bodied cars are not any more circuit-oriented than the standard street cars they're based on. I admit the Appia Sport did get raced a lot (Walter Cronkite raced one at the Sebring 12 Hours in 1959), but it was still just an Appia wearing a sexy dress. No argument about the LC2. It would be a welcome addition to FM7.

(As for the B24... Well, there is a barn!)
Hope spring eternal.

I'm kinda afraid of the "Stars" thing. Will these be objectives in the race like "Don't collide at all", "Do a clean lap", "Finish a lap in less than "# of minutes and seconds"? Because I have a tendency to rage at these. Also, I don't see any regular snow racing events from the description... Will this just be challenges or will there be actual racing?

I'm kinda on the fence for this expansion.

If it's anything like the Storm Island expansion from FH2, and it's sounding like it is, then there will be regular racing, challenges, and bucket lists.

You just removed a lot of fear from me. Thank you ∩ω∩ (Happy kitty emoticon)

Also, king of the mountain? Sounds like online stuff... Too bad, since I avoid online the plague with all the crashers and the people who set the difficult to expert and pro which I always end up dead last on in online co-op.

One thing I like it's that the Ultimate Edition discount goes throughout December, so I can wait to see a few impressions of Blizzard Mountain before I pull the trigger.

Since no one else has said it, just a heads up that the "Ultimate Edition" discount is only good through 12/13. They pulled another bait and switch, but check the item out on the marketplace. It very clearly says "until 12/13."

I see what you mean. When I log into the store it says the discount is good for another 13 days.

Interesting that Brian Ekberg's announcement mentions Ultimate Edition owners receive a $10 discount on the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass if purchased before the end of 2016. That's going to get a lot of people tripped up - not to mention angry customers that might be waiting for Christmas.

Exactly. It's the same BS they pulled with the recreational series in the latest FRC. Each event lasts a week (except for the first one, which it says in the fine print, only lasts three days).

Bait. And. Switch.

The goofy thing is they first told us that the discount would run through early December (which the store still reflects), but now this week B. Ekberg says "before the end of 2016." Oddly, this is more like Switch. And. Bait. :dunce:

It feels a little bit weird that ever since they've said it was possible to route edit on Forza's website (I can't find the link anymore but it was definitely announced before releasing FH3 in Forza's main website but then in the game) Instead, Keira finds the key spots instead.

"Choose your route and if you don't like where it goes, change the checkpoints, use the same tools than a video game creator would have access to, change a road track into an off-road raid."
sure felt too good to be true. Was it last minute scrapped?

Anyways, anyone remember reading this on Forza's main website when they announced FH3?

This is making it really hard not to buy this expansion now :embarrassed:

After all these years its amazing to finally see snow in Forza, its quickly becoming the only racing game series that I will easily pay the full price for. Hopefully some of these features make it into mainline forza at some point, having Nurburgring covered in snow would be great and an awesome tribute to PGR, other tracks that make sense too like Bernese Alps, or maybe even introduce some rally stages in the game. With the basis they laid down FM6 and FH3 they could easily make the best racer of all time with a few key additions here and there.
Sorry for rambling guys, I'm just pretty excited right now.

That was what I my guess for the barnfind was going to be! No kidding haha, I remembered them being in the credits and that is the first thing I thought of with this new barnfind news.

Isn't that more or less how the series works? They build each game off the last, using expansions as test beds for new features. Like how Storm Island introduces rain, then Forza 6 takes rain and expands on it. I expect Forza 7 will feature snow and other loose surfaces

Well, bog standard Horizon 2 had rain. SI introduced hard rain and heavy fog and ash.
Forza 7 might include RallyX (with mixed dirt-tarmac circuits) and have proper dynamic drying lines in the wet. With cyclical weather and time. But snow seems a bit far-fetched, simply because no tarmac racing series races in the winter.
It'd only make sense if they included Ice Racing (like Andros Trophy) and/or stage based rallying. Neither of which seems very likely, seeing as how T10 has stated Motorsport with be on-road racing.

That. Last. Photo.
I. Know! :D Is it me, or does it remind you of Sega Rally a bit? I don't know I just like that pic so much, as well as others! :)

Don't worry man, I know excatly how you're feeling right now bud. I've been getting this feeling for awhile after seeing FH3 feature snow for the first time in the Forza series. This is why I like the fact that both developers (T10 and PG) are working on Forza in different time frames, and share assests, features etc. with each other. The possiblities are endless!

With FH3 to feature snow, I can imagine it being brought over to FM7 next year (especially to show off the Scorpio's capabilities). Plus T10 won't have to worry about their assests either, since they're all up to date this time so hopefully nothing holds them back from achieving their next goal. 👍

I also really hope FM7 features rally, as well as carry over the event creator from FH3!! The replayability will only get enhanced from there! Man I'm just so excited about all this!! :D :D
