Borderlands 2

I've given the keyboard a chance, I've played for weeks but, still requires me to think about or look at the keyboard to make sure I'm hitting the right keys. If I had a thumb stick to move instead of four separate keys, I would be much happier playing this game. I never had a programmable joystick so I don't know if the axis can be set to work movement in these games some how.

If you still want to use a controller, you could always use a program called MotionInJoy.

On another note:
Prepare for the arrival of Krieg the Psycho -- the new playable character for Borderlands 2, releasing May 14 -- with special in-game events from May 10 through the end of May 13!

The Bandits of Pandora can feel one of their own approaching and have ramped up the production of Bandit gear accordingly, so expect to see an increase in Bandit gear drops when playing Borderlands 2 while connected to the internet. But watch out! Reports suggest an increased population of Badass Psychos in Lynchwood, Thousand Cuts and Eridium Blight.

This will make for farming the Gub and/or Sledge's Shotgun that much easier. Or for Bone Shredder.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I also just came across xpadder which is better?

Edit: Oh I just remembered I had motionjoy before on my laptop and it's a nightmare to remove and it won't stop trying to turn everything into a joypad that you plug in. So I'll try xpadder.

????
Doesn't do that to me. I barely use it anyway, because I don't have a cord long enough.

I read many others had the same problem too.
I just tried using my xbox360 pad and it works with the mouse without any help so I might try that, the only problem is it won't let me config the buttons on the controller. Thanks for the help anyway:tup:

Edit: I got everything working the way I wanted, with xpadder and turning joystick off in one of the games files.

Just bought Krieg. I've only just gotten to Claptrap's shack so I have no idea how different he is to the others yet (haven't even got my headphones on so I can't hear his barks either), but I'm excited to be playing the game again. It feels like it's been quite a while.

Already got through the 1st PT with Kreig, most likely I am going to blaze through the second playthrough and then focus with my Commando for PT3. I need better gear for my Mechro, everything is wayyy too weak, even when enemies are Slagged.

Already got through the 1st PT with Kreig,

I haven't been playing it as obsessively as I did to begin with but I slipped a cheeky half hour in this morning and got to level 19, I'm just putting off the Wildlife Preserve at the moment. Krieg is fun, I like his action skill; it's quite similar to how I tried to use Zer0 with Many Must Fall with the bonus that you don't get pulled out of the AS if you don't kill your target. Also the ranged attack is seriously satisfying, particularly as it will cut through a Nomad's shield. Not too keen on Light The Fuse, it's a bit weak and I think using a gun would be better most of the time, though it does let you chase down that one bloody bastard who you nearly kill but then he runs off to hide, so that's cool I guess.

I can't help but wonder what your mates are doing when they revive you while you're Light The Fusing all over the place, maybe asking you to put the dynamite away and calm down?

I love using his action skill with Buzz Axe Bombardier, and his skill Blood-filled Guns can be insanely ammo costly, but then again my ammo storage decks are modded to such an extent that I will ALWAYS have ammo. One thing I think is hilarious is using The CHOPPER with him, watching the mag soar to insane numbers. If I remember right, the max I got with it was around 7.5 rounds per mag. If it was elemental, than most likely it would have been higher, and even more so if I had a Legendary Psycho Class Mod. I could potentially hold around 20k rounds in one magazine. That's absolutely absurd.

Edit: I am thinking about getting myself another Rough Rider for Krieg, seeing as most of his Mania skills are amplified by a shield with 0 capacity. The health boost will be rather neat, and the fact that he will take constant health damage will recharge his Buzz Axe Rampage quite swiftly. If not that shield, then I might get my hands on a Love Thumper and a Slagged Rubi. I could slag a couple of people and then run in to finish the job with melee or with the Explosive Nova that accompanies said melee strike if my shield is gone. The damage dealt all around will heal him rather quickly, and with Bloodsplosion he could deal even more damage. If I go down someone will at least be slagged and so I can just throw dynamite at them till they drop dead.

I managed to get a level 22 Law to go with the Order (lv 25?), I'm also level 26 or 27 now so I've drilled quite far down the Mania tree and it's insane, I was in Sawtooth Cauldron earlier on just one hit killing most things including Goliaths... So I like that.

Still not a huge fan of Light The Fuse but that's because it's difficult to tell how much damage his big explosion does, so you wait until an enemy has a little more health than you can knock off with one thrown dynamite stick, press E to explode... Then one of your mates kills it before you blow up. I still think it would be easier just to use guns, really. Also people really don't get Cleanse The Soul, where you instantly revive them in exchange for going into FFYL. Maybe they don't get Light The Fuse, seeing you running around must confuse them into thinking you don't need to be revived after all.

Oh and another thing; that skill that enables friendly fire. People often shoot each other in Borderlands 2 to show off their gun or just mess around, but when they discover that they can actually damage you, they take it a bit far and that's annoying.

If you get a Slab Class Mod that gives five points to Fuel the Rampage (the skill you fore mentioned) You will not take any damage at all from friendlies.

Also, I just got my hands on a Legendary Psycho Class Mod...and my entire Assault Rifle SDU is almost gone. AND it's a modded one too. Geez, all that hot lead going down range...lol

Edit: I just saw TT's Assault on Dragon Keep. It looks promising, although what I am wondering is if they are going to add in new legendarys or pearlescent weapons/class mods/shields/relics/grenade mods. That would be awesome.

And as for my Psycho, I am not really having too much trouble with him on PT3. Just note that you should not attack a Goliath when in LTF, otherwise they go berserk and recover any lost health. It's better to hit a weakened badass or a normal enemy. And I found the CC to be slightly more useful, especially the one I have, as it will be pretty much light everyone fire, just boosting my Bloodlust stacks. In combo with the Deputy's badge, I can keep the sustained fire going. Despite Kreig's abilities, I find it rather hard to beat Pyro Pete. I thought the combo of his resistance to fire would help him become pretty much invincible, but the corrosive over time damage was too much, and I still had to keep turning the valve.

This thread died, maybe its time for a revive! By the way people try the Borderlands 2 Gibbed game save editor revision 155 definatly worth a try, it gives me things to do when im bored of normal borderlands, that and maxed skill trees, unlimited ammo, unlimited health, ability to make weapons and characters, so fun try it!

You don't even know how many people I've been kicking from my games lately for things like having a level 12 Slayer of Terramorphous mod or spouting endless legendaries and seraph gear, again at level 30 or so. It's a pain in the arse. But yeah, I haven't had much to say lately as there's not much new to report after 14 playthroughs, but I'm still playing; just started TVH with Krieg the day before yesterday as it happens.

unlimited ammo, unlimited health

Just...what? Seriously, what? You can not give yourself infinite health. You can give yourself huge ammo capacities that could never run out of ammo, but it's not unlimited ammo. Also, I'd think it would be more fun if modded/hybrid weapons weren't deleted in my inventory, so I wouldn't have to run allllll the way back to the bank in Sanctuary just to keep them intact. Something I have noticed although, is that different skins for weapons of the same type fit damn near perfectly. For example, I replaced the skin for the Hellfire with the same one for the Emperor, and it looks super badass.

Also: I tried facing Pyro Pete, and Light the Fuse is absolutely IMPORTANT during this fight. Normally, when you went down, you couldn't twist the valve, even if you were super close to it. Kreig, on the other hand, CAN twist the valves, which is very helpful in staying alive during the fight. Despite the Psycho's resistances to fire, he still takes significant damage from the over time pyrocaustic nova.

I have Unstoppable Pointman Class Mod with 20 Grit Plus the 5 Grit in my tree, that makes you invincibru! And i have a hybrid norfleet with 3,000,000 x 97 damage and a bee sheild with 1,000,000 amp damage with 0.55 recharge delay. And Terramorphous is level 1474783644 somthing... FUN!

1. Still technically not infinite health. You still have a set amount.
2. The reload speed must be horrible and the possibility of killing yourself extremely high.
3. Would rather stick with other shields depending on characters.
4. PC. That explains it.
5. Seems like you are trying way too hard. Also add to the fact that you have to store all of that stuff back in Sanctuary if you want to keep it, as said before.

I've used Gibbed's many times, mostly screwing around with things for fun or to make my guns better while still keeping them legit.

1. Never die because health never reaches 0

2. reload speed is really fast, and you cant kill yourself with it when your invincibru and if you do kill yourself with it on a normal charactor your a newb

3. the sheild is just for extra damage

4. PS3

5. Storing it in sanctuary is really not much of a big deal, especially since you go there quite alot

The editor is quite a powerful tool if you actually know how to use it... making guns is really just a small part

/facepalm
1. I am not saying you aren't invincible. I am saying that your set amount of health ISN'T infinite.
2. Doubt it. Plus, you can't be 'invincible' with other classes.
3. AKA lazy.
4. Also doubt it
5. PFFFFFFF HAHAHAHAHA it is a big deal, because I don't want to lose my modded gear.

You are trying wayyyy too hard to get me to use Gibbed's (even though I JUST used it today.) Plus, stop saying "invincibru." It's annoying when it's overused and it's also racist.

What is even happening any more?

I haven't a clue. This turned into more of a Modding flame war then actually getting hyped that you might get to see some Tiny Tina DLC over E3.

Don't get me wrong, I am hyped for the new DLC, I am just not mentioning it as much because I will get seriously impatient.

I saw a link that was posted on GameFaqs [about 10 days ago] to a somewhat lengthy game play walk through of the early part of the upcoming Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC. Narrating portions of this video is Anthony Burch, the lead writer at Gearbox for Borderlands 2.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-WJEC3VfhE

I didn't and will never buy the Krieg DLC, and I haven't even played Borderlands 2 since I hacked that Psycho into my game well before it actually came out and played that character all the way into the early part of UVHM. I got bored of doing the same thing over and over again, and Krieg was not interesting enough [to me] to keep on going even a little bit further.

Since I bought the Season Pass, I am just waiting for this DLC to come out. I only intend to play through it with my main character and then put the game away for good.

I know there's absolutely no point actually trying to discuss a game while E3 is happening as this will be buried immediately, but:

I'm now level 37 with Krieg so I've managed to dig to the bottom of Mania to unlock Release The Beast; this skill is almost completely OP, which is fine by me for now. I've found it's possible to chain it if you take enough damage while in Buzz Axe Rampage and then take more damage when you come out of it (as you need less than a third of your maximum health to trigger the Badass Psycho Mutant mode) so in a big fight you can just keep going. If only Silence The Voices didn't make you attack yourself as often as it does... It's annoying that the animation takes so long and it's possible for it to trigger twice or three times in a row, leaving you in the line of fire while you're trying to melee a guy AND you're attacking yourself with a Law (for +100%), a melee shield, +400% melee damage from Silence The Voices (I have +3 from my class mod) and all the other melee damage boosts, resulting in a quick death.

On the plus side, if you can keep yourself at or above the quest level and you have 5/5 on Strip The Flesh you can actually kill an enemy from full health during Light The Fuse, then instantly press F when you respawn to trigger Release The Beast. Then if you have Thrill Of The Kill you'll usually have full health when you leave Buzz Axe Rampage (assuming you killed everyone), or you'll have less than a third and your action skill cooldown will have already been reset so you can just go again and again until everything is dead. I'm still using a level 30 shield and a level 22 Law as my main gear because the melee damage is just crazy.

I just beat my 3rd PT with Kreig. I find shotguns with him to be very powerful. Especially with Salt the Wound. Around 20 stacks of StW can up your shotgun damage to about double. Throw in a Deputy's badge and shotguns just got A LOT more awesome. I find this, Blood-filled Guns and Elemental Elation to be absurdly powerful with elemental shotguns.

I am planning on focusing more over with shotguns with Kreig now, seeing how effective they are in his hands. Although I find the Interfacer to be incredibly powerful. I usually have a hard time with Super Badass Constructors until I pull out the Interfacer and just unload on them in the eye. It can kill them rather quickly, and even more so because it's corrosive. The deputy's badge also helps when I am reloading without Nervous Blood active, and whenever I feel like I am closer to death, I just pull out my Slagga and slag 'em so I can get a second wind with more ease.

With the Tiny Tina DLC they said it would take about 10 hours to complete everything in the DLC. Which I think is about what all the 3 combined equaled to.

Hope it's good. 12 days...

Well, that isn't including side quests.

Anyway...tomorrow I am going to see if the Blood of Terramorphous relic has any effect on getting Vermivorous. I am going to use my Commando (for invincibility) and a modded BoT.
